How to Install Adjustments
Warning!
It is advisable to have an Öhlins dealer install the
shock absorber.
When installing, read the Vehicle Service Manual.
When working on a raised vehicle, ensure the
vehicle is securely supported so that it will not
tip.

The easiest way to install the damper is with
the reservoir pointing towards the rear and
down.

Compression Damping
Warning!
Before driving the vehicle, read and make sure
you understand how the product works. Read
more about adjustments and setting up in the
Öhlins Owner’s Manual before you make any
adjustments. Contact an Öhlins dealer if you
have any questions about setting up the shock
absorber.
Rebound Damping
Compression damping
High speed 11 clicks
Low speed 14 clicks
Set-up Data
Compression damping adjuster
Adjust by turning the golden (left) knob on the
valve housing.
Low speed adjuster: black, 3 mm, allen key.
High speed adjuster: golden 12 mm hex.
Note!
Do not adjust the golden 19 mm hex.
Rebound damping adjuster
Adjust by turning the silver (right) knob on the
valve housing.
Low speed adjuster: black, 3 mm, allen key.
High speed adjuster: silver 12 mm hex.
Note!
Do not adjust the golden 19 mm hex.
To reset
The adjusters have a normal right hand
thread. Turn clockwise to fully closed. Turn
counter clockwise to open and count the
clicks until you reach the recommended
number.
Spring preload adjuster
Adjust by turning the adjustment rings on
the outer tube of the damper. Use ÖR tool
03199-01 (not included). Since no springs are
included in the kit you need to set the ride
height once the dampers are installed on the
car.
Note!
When delivered the Öhlins strut is not set to
recommended settings for the specific brand
and make of the vehicle. You need to reset it
according to the Set-up Data.
Note!
If you have turned the adjuster without counting
the number of clicks you must go back to the
recommended settings. Close the adjuster fully.
Turn the adjuster counter clockwise and count
the clicks until you reach the recommended
setting.
Caution!
Do not use force, delicate sealing surfaces can
be damaged. Handtighten only.
Rebound damping
High speed 26 clicks
