Air contamination level display
Air contamination level indicates the indoor air contamination state detected by the odor
and dust sensors.
Air contamination level will be displayed as 3 stages: blue, orange, and red color
according to the indoor air contamination status. The blue color means the indoor air is
fine, and the red color means the indoor unit is hazy.
Air contamination level display represents the dust level only. So, the indoor air
contamination level on both dust and odor is shown 2 minutes after turning on the air
purifier since the odor sensor is in detecting indoor air contamination level during the initial 2 minutes.

Check before use
Checking the following information in advance will enable you to use the air purifier more effectively.
Installation condition
Check the following installation requirement.
The installation area should be level, not sloping.
The area near the air inlet and air exhaust should not be blocked.
The area should not be humid, nor have inflammable material nearby.
The appliance should not intrude in the pathway of people.
The appliance should be installed near a power socket.
Check the power plug and socket
Depending on the plug type and voltage, the power plug should be plugged into correct
wall socket.
The correct temperature and humidity for the operation
Indoor temperature: between 0°C~40°C
If you operate the air purifier out of its temperature range, sensor error will occur and it may result in product shut down.
The operation of the air purifier within a big temperature difference will reduce the life of a filter and cause a product
malfunction due to the dew condensation.
Using a filter
The deodorization + DNAlter is packaged with vinyl, remove the vinyl package before operating the air purifier.
Refer to the ‘Changing Deodorization filter for thelter change. ( P 17 )

Benecial tips
The following tips will be beneficial for your energy saving.
For installation
Do not install the air purifier in an area exposed to sun light and near a heating
appliance.
When the air purifier is exposed to sun light, draw the curtains.
When a heating machine is around the air purifier, move it away from the air
purifier.
For operation
It is preferable to close a window or door during operation.
Operating the air purifier with window or door opened will reduce the
purifying efficiency.
Other information
Make sure you insert the filter for operation and replace the filter when it
generates strange smell.
The purifying function will not work when operating the air purifier without
a filter.
When thelter gets dirty, the purifying efficiency will be reduced. When the
exterior of the filter gets too dirty, thelter generates bad smell, or the air
volume is lessen drastically, thelter should be replaced.
It is preferable not to use the air purifier when strong food smells such as
broiled fish are generated during cooking.
Strong food smells from cooking while operating the air purifier will drastically
decrease the life of Deodorization filter. In a serious case, the odor would be
permeated into the Deodorizationlter and it would produce odor during
operation even after ventilation.
When the surrounding smell permeates into the Deodorizationlter and
it generates bad smell while operating the air purifier, it indicates the
Deodorization filter needs to be replaced.
To close the air louver, you should press button.
Press the when closing the air louver.
If you close the air louver with your hands, they might not be closed
completely..

Cleaning and maintenance
Before you clean the air purifier, you must stop the operation and unplug the air purifier.
Cleaning the exterior
Saturate the provided cleaning only towel with warm water and wring the towel
tightly. Then wipe the air purifier with the towel.
Especially, dust might pile up around the air inlet of the air purifier, so please clean
the area frequently.
Do not clean the digital display and control panel with alkaline
detergent.
Do not use acid, acetone or organic solvent(Kerosene, Thinner, etc.) to
clean the surface and do not attach any stickers. They may damage
the surface of the appliance.
When wiping the surface of the air purifier with coarse cloth or rag,
fine scratch might be on the surface of the air purifier. Therefore, you
should use a soft cloth.
CAUTION
Air inlet
Cleaning sensor section
Sensor section is composed of the dust sensor and odor sensor. The dust sensor
detects the contamination level of fine dust or big dust particle and the odor
sensor detects the contamination level of general odors of home such as food
and cigarette smells. The lens of the dust sensor should be cleaned periodically to
maintain its performance efficiency.
1 . Open the side sensor cover.
Open the side sensor cover using a mini screwdriver or an object withat or
thin end.
2 . Clean the dust sensor lens with a cotton bud and remove the dust around
the odor sensor.
Except for water, do not clean the sensor section with volatile matter
such as alcohol and benzene.
When removing dust from the dust sensor, do not wipe othe dust
sensor grid.
When foreign matter(dust) remains around the dust sensor lens, the
contamination level status might not be changed from contamination
status. In that case, clean the sensor again.
CAUTION
3 . Close the side sensor.
Put the side sensor cover into the left side groove and push it in the arrow
direction.
You can conveniently clean the sensor section with a vacuum cleaner
with the side sensor closed.
Clean the sensor section every six months. However, the cleaning
period can vary according to the surrounding environment and hours
of usage, so the period should be shorter in a dusty environment.

Air contamination level is
suddenly turned to orange

worry about the product malfunction with this.
(Leave proper space between the humidifier and the air purifier so that the vapor
particle of the humidifier will not go into the sensor of the air purifier.)
