Check before use
Checking the following information in advance will enable you to use the air purifier more effectively.
Installation condition
Check the following installation requirement.
The installation area should be level, not sloping.
The area near the air inlet and air exhaust should not be blocked.
The area should not be humid, nor have inflammable material nearby.
The appliance should not intrude in the pathway of people.
The appliance should be installed near a power socket.
Check the power plug and socket
Depending on the plug type and voltage, the power plug should be plugged into correct
wall socket.
The correct temperature and humidity for the operation
Indoor temperature: between 0°C~40°C
If you operate the appliance outside the standard temperature range, the appliance may not operate correctly.
The operation of the air purifier within a big temperature difference will reduce the life of a filter and cause a product
malfunction due to the dew condensation.
Using filter
The Deodorization filter is packaged with vinyl, so remove the vinyl before using the filter.
To insert the filter, refer to the filter resetting in the cleaning and maintenance section. (p17)

Beneficial tips
For installation
Do not install the air purifier in an area exposed to sun light and near a heating
appliance.
When the air purifier is exposed to sun light, draw the curtains.
When a heating machine is around the air purifier, move it away from the air
purifier.
For operation
It is preferable to close a window or door during operation.
Operating the air purifier with window or door opened will reduce the
purifying efficiency.
It is preferable not to use the air purifier when strong food smells such as broiled
fish are generated during cooking.
Strong food smells from cooking while operating the air purifier will drastically
decrease the life of Deodorization filter. In a serious case, the odor would be
permeated into the Deodorization filter and it would produce odor during
operation even after ventilation.
When the air purifier generates odor due to the odor permeated into the
Deodorization filter, replace the filter with a new one.
Other information
Make sure to use a filter for operation and the filter must be changed when
Exchange lamp on the control panel is lit up on.
The purifying function will not work when operating the air purifier without
a filter.
When the filter is dirty, the purifying efficiency will be reduced.
For this reason, please change the filter when the Exchange lamp is lit up.

Cleaning and maintenance
Before you clean the air purifier, you should stop the operation and unplug the air purifier.
Cleaning the exterior
Wipe the surface of the product with a slightly wet or dry cloth when needed.
Do not clean the appliance with alkaline detergent.
Do not use acid, acetone or organic solvent
(Kerosene, Thinner, etc.) to clean the surface and do not attach any
stickers. They may damage the surface of the appliance.
CAUTION
Cleaning sensor section
Sensor section is composed of the dust sensor and odor sensor. The dust sensor
detects the contamination level of fine dust or big dust particle and the odor
sensor detects the contamination level of general odors of home such as food and
cigarette smells.
The lens of the dust sensor should be cleaned periodically to maintain its
performance efficiency.
1 . Open the side sensor cover.
Open the side sensor cover using a mini screwdriver or an object with flat or
thin end.
2 . Clean the dust sensor lens with a cotton bud and remove the dust around
the odor sensor.
Do not clean the sensor section with volatile matter such as alcohol
and benzene.
When removing dust from the dust sensor, do not wipe off the dust
sensor net.
When foreign matter(dust) remains around the dust sensor lens, the
contamination level status might not be changed from contamination
status. In that case, clean the sensor again.
CAUTION
3 . Close the side sensor.
Put the side sensor cover into the left side groove and push it in the arrow
direction.
You can conveniently clean the sensor section with a vacuum cleaner
with the side sensor closed.
Clean the sensor section every three months. However, the cleaning
period can vary according to the surrounding environment and hours
of usage, so the period should be shorter in a dusty environment.

Changing the Dust collecting filter section
Dust collecting filter is a high performance filter that removes the fine dust
and cigarette particles in the air. When the Exchange lamp is lit up, follow the
procedure below to change the filter.
1 . Open the filter box door and pull out the Dust collecting filter.
2 . Widen each side of the filter frame with hands and pull out the Dust
collecting filter from the filter frame.
3 . Put the new Dust collecting filter into the filter frame.
4 . After closing the filter box door, plug in the air purifier.
5 . Press the button on the control panel for more than 2 seconds.
The Exchange lamp on the control panel will go off with a ‘beep and it will be
lit up again at next replacing period.
Pre-filter is a lasting filter, so clean the filter periodically (once a month)
with running water.
Lift up the pre-filter at the groove on the filter section handle(1) and
pull it out in the arrow direction(2).
Purchase the Dust collecting filter at a service center.
Depending on the surrounding environment, the Exchange lamp
will not be lit up even though the appliance needs filter replacement.
However, you should press
button after replacing the Dust
collecting filter. When pressing button for more than 2 seconds,
there will be a ‘beep sound.

Before you clean the air purifier, you should stop the operation and unplug the air purifier.
Changing Deodorization filter
Deodorization filter is a high performance filter that improves not only
deodorization function but also the performance of removing substances causing
allergy.
Follow the procedure below to change the Deodorization filter.
1 . Open the filter box door and pull out the Deodorization filter section.
2 . Widen each side of the filter frame with hands and pull out the
Deodorization filter and Anti-Allergen filter from the filter frame in order.
3 . Replace the Anti-Allergen filter and Deodorization filter in order.
4 . After closing the filter box door, plug in the air purifier.
5 . Press the button on the control panel for more than 2 seconds.
The Exchange lamp on the control panel will go off with a ‘beep and it will be
lit up again at next replacing period.
Replace the filter of Deodorization filter section when the Exchange
lamp is lit up. However, the replacement period can vary according to
the indoor air contamination level and hours of usage so when odor is
generated from filter, purchase a new filter and replace it.
Depending on the surrounding environment, the Exchange lamp
will not be lit up even though the appliance needs filter replacement.
However, you should press
button after replacing the
Deodorization filter. When pressing button for more than 2

Troubleshooting
Problem Solution
The air purifier does not work
at all.
Check that the power plug is properly connected. Insert the power plug into the
wall socket correctly.
Plug in or switch on the circuit breaker and then operate the air purifier again.
Check the power socket and use another socket and then operate the appliance
again.
Check whether the filter box door is open. Close the door, and try to turn on the
air purifier again.
Odor is generated.
Check whether there is heavy smoke or severe unpleasant odor which may
decrease the cleaning capacity. Ventilate your home and operate the air purifier
again.
Check if filters are blocked by dirt. Replace the Dust collecting filter, Anti-Allergen
filter and Deodorization filter with new ones at the same time if odors permeate
in the room.
Check if the pre-filter is blocked by dirt.
Clean the filter once a month.
Digital display backlight
grows dim.
Check whether the air purifier is operated in Sleep mode. In Sleep mode, the
display backlight becomes dim automatically for your sound sleep. There is
nothing wrong with your air purifier.
The Exchange indicator stays
lit after changing the filters.
Make sure to press the Filter Reset button after you change the filters.
The air contamination level
indicator suddenly changes
while using the air purifier
near a humidifier.
Check whether your air purifier is too close to the humidifier. If minute vapor
particles which come from the humidifier cling to the air contamination level
sensor, it will lead to the increase of the air contamination level. (Make sure to
install your air purifier away from the humidifier to prevent the vapor particles
from getting into the sensor.)
