LIMITED TOOL WARRANTY

King Canada makes every effort to ensure that this product meets high quality and

durability standards. King Canada warrants to the original retail consumer a 2-year

limited warranty as of the date the product was purchased at retail and that each

product is free from defects in materials. Warranty does not apply to defects due

directly or indirectly to misuse, abuse, normal wear and tear, negligence or

accidents, repairs done by an unauthorized service center, alterations and lack of

maintenance. King Canada shall in no event be liable for death, injuries to persons

or property or for incidental, special or consequential damages arising from the use

of our products.

To take advantage of this limited warranty, return the product at your expense

together with your dated proof of purshase to an authorized King Canada service

center. Contact your retailer or visit our web site at www.kingcanada.com for an

updated listing of our authorized service centers. In cooperation with our authorized

serviced center, King Canada will either repair or replace the product if any part or

parts covered under this warranty which examination proves to be defective in

workmanship or material during the warranty period.

1. KNOW YOUR TOOL

Read and understand the instruction manual and labels affixed to the tool. Learn its

application and limitations as well as its specific potential hazards.

2. USE RIGHT TOOL.

Don’t force the tool or the attachment to do a job for which it was not designed.

3. WEAR PROPER APPAREL.

Do not wear loose clothing, gloves, neckties or jewelry (rings, watch) because they could

get caught in moving parts. Non-slip footwear is recommended. Wear protective hair

covering to contain long hair. Roll up long sleeves above the elbows.

4. MAINTAIN TOOL WITH CARE.

Keep tool clean for best and safest performance. Follow instructions for operation and

changing accessories.

5. DISCONNECT TOOLS.

Before servicing, when changing accessories or attachments.

6. USE RECOMMENDED ACCESSORIES.

Consult the manual for recommended accessories. Follow the instructions that

accompany the accessories. The use of improper accessories may cause hazards.

7. CHECK FOR DAMAGED PARTS.

Before further use of the tool, a guard or other parts that are damaged should be

carefully checked to ensure they will operate properly and perform their intended

function. Check for alignment of moving parts, breakage of parts, mounting, and any

other conditions that may affect its operation. A guard or other parts which are damaged

should be properly repaired or replaced.

SPECIFIC SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Read the following safety instructions before attempting to assemble or use this product.

1. To reduce the risk of serious injury, the user must read and understand the

instruction manual before operating portable clamping workstation.

2. Before attempting to use this portable clamping workstation, always make sure the

workpiece is properly secured and supported in vise.

3. Make sure the workstation folding legs are properly secured with leg lock knobs.

4. Only use this workstation on a level surface.

5. Do not use this workstation as a standing platform, step ladder or scaffolding support.

6. Always wear ANSI approved safety goggles when using any power tool.

7. When folding or unfolding stand, be careful not to pinch your fingers.

8. When working with long or heavy workpieces use additional supports.

9. Test your set-up for stability before each use.

SETTING UP WORKSTATION

UNPACKING

Carefully remove the workstation from the box. Position the top of the workstation down on

the floor with folded legs facing upwards.

SETTING UP WORKSTATION

Unfolding workstation

1) Unlock the rear leg lock knob (A) Fig.1.

2) Slide the rear leg (B) out of the leg storage

opening (C).

3) Slightly lift and then slide the rear leg (A) Fig.2

towards the front of the workstation. Then raise the

rear leg into the upright position. Position the rear

leg into the frame opening (B) and tighten rear leg

lock knob (C).

4) Raise both front legs (D) Fig.2 and lock them in

place using the front leg lock knobs (E). Only turn

these lock knobs a half turn until the round section

of each knob tightens against the housing. See

Fig.3.

5) Position the workstation on its legs in the upright

position.

6) Lower the foot pedal (A) Fig.4 and pull it towards

the front of the workstation until it clicks into place.

Folding workstation

1) Position the top of the workstation down on the

floor with unfolded legs facing upwards.

2) To release and fold the foot pedal (A) Fig.4, simply

pull the foot pedal release (B).

3) Reverse the instructions on this page for folding

the front and rear legs.

OPERATION

Clamping a Workpiece

Warning!

Read all safety rules before using this

portable workstation. If for any reason the workpiece

or the workstation moves during an operation, stop

immediately. Secure workpiece and/or workstation.

1) Place the vise lock/release switch (A) Fig.5 in the

unlocked position by raising the switch upwards,

refer to Fig.5 illustration.

2) Push the sliding vise jaw (B) Fig.5 away from the

fixed vise jaw (C) to open.

3) Place your workpiece (D) Fig.5 between the fixed

vise jaw and the sliding vise jaw with and equal

amount of the workpiece on each side of the work-

station.

4) Slide the sliding vise jaw (B) Fig.5 up against the

workpiece or step repeatedly on the foot pedal (A)

Fig.6 to move the sliding vise jaw towards the work-

piece (up to 1” with each advance of the pedal).

5) To lock the sliding vise jaw up against the work-

piece, place the vise lock/release switch (B) Fig.6

in the locked position by lowering the switch down-

wards, refer to Fig.6 illustration.

6) Step on the foot pedal (A) Fig.6 repeatedly until the

workpiece is completely secured.

Unclamping a Workpiece

1) Place the vise lock/release switch (A) Fig.7 in the

unlocked position by raising the switch upwards,

refer to Fig.7 illustration.

2) Step down on the foot pedal (B) then let the pedal

rise releasing the force on the workpiece.

3) Push the sliding vise jaw (C) and remove the work-

piece (D).

Clamping Wide Workpieces

This workstation is designed to clamp wide work-

pieces up to 38” long. To do this, the reversible sliding

vise jaw must be reversed.

1) Place the vise lock/release switch (A) Fig.8 in the

unlocked position by raising the switch upwards,

refer to Fig.8 illustration.

2) Push the sliding vise jaw (B) Fig.8 completely to

the rear and slide it of

f its tracks.

3) Turn the sliding vise jaw (A) Fig.9 around and slide

it back onto the tracks as shown.

4) Place your wide workpiece (A) Fig.10 between the

fixed vise jaw and the sliding vise jaw with and

equal amount of the workpiece on each side of the

workstation. Secure workpiece.

OPTIONAL ACCESSORY- LOG JAWS

An optional set of log jaws (Fig.11), King model

KW-136, can be purchased and installed on your

workstation. These log jaws allow you to secure

irregular shaped stock or logs for cutting purposes.

MAINTENANCE

Only use identical replacement parts when servicing.

The use of any other part may compromise the

safety of this product and may create a dangerous

working situation or can cause serious injury.

Clean tool with clean cloth and water

. DON’T allow

petroleum based products to come into contact with

the plastic parts of the tool, as they contain chemicals

that can damage or destroy the plastic parts.

Lubricating the Vise Jaw Advance Mechanism

If the sliding vise jaw no longer moves smoothly, the

advance mechanism (A) Fig.12 should be lubricated

using a small amount of grease or spray lubricant.
