Please read these Installation Instructions BEFORE you install EVANNEX Mud Flaps. Detailed video installation
instructions can be found at evannex.com.
EVANNEX Mud Flaps have been designed to protect the lower body panels of your Model 3 or Model Y from road debris.
Installation of EVANNEX Mud Flaps is a relatively straightforward DIY project. However, if you’re uncomfortable with the
installation for any reason, we recommend that you contact a professional installer and have them do the installation for
you.
INSTALLATION
Tools required: A small, flat head screw driver, a 10mm socket and socket wrench, a
cleaning cloth
Installing Front Mud Flaps
Step 1. Turn your wheel and tire so that you’ll be able to access the appropriate
wheel well area.
Step 2. Clean the area around the OEM fasteners (see photo) in the rear area of the
wheel well.
Step 3. Using the small flat head screw driver, pop the center push screw of both
of the OEM fasteners on the inside of the wheel well. Using the flat head, raise the
push screw and pop it out along with the expansion fastener. Don’t become concerned if
the push screw or the fastener breaks. You are provided with replacement push screws
and fasteners (see photo).
Step 4. Snap the mud flap into place aligning the holes in the mud flap with the
OEM holes in the wheel well.
Step 5. Push the expansion fastener clip and push screw provided into the OEM
hole in the wheel well. There are two (2) holes in the front wheel well.
Step 6. Repeat steps 1 though 5 for the other front wheel well.
Installing Rear Mud Flaps
Step 1. Clean the area around the OEM fasteners in the rear area of the wheel
well.
Step 2. Using the small flat head screw driver, pop the center push screw of the
single OEM fastener on the inside of the wheel well. Using the flat head, raise the
push screw and pop it out along with the expansion fastener. Don’t become concerned
if the push screw or the fastener breaks. You are provided with replacement push
screws and fasteners.
Step 3a (for Model 3): Using the 10mm socket and socket wrench, remove the 10
mm bolt on the bottom of the fender near the edge of the wheel.
Step 3b (for Model Y): Do NOT remove the 10 mm bolt on the bottom of the
fender. The 10 mm mounting tab should be placed on top of the OEM bolt. Push down
on the tab to seat it in place.
Step 4. Snap the mud flap into place aligning the holes in the mud flap with the
OEM hole in the wheel well (see photo).
Step 5. Push the expansion fastener clip and push screw provided into the OEM
hole in the wheel well. There is one (1) hole in the rear wheel well.
Step 6. For Model 3 only, place the 10mm bolt through the hole on the bottom of
the Mud Flap and then using the 10mm socket and socket wrench, replace the
10 mm bolt on the bottom of the fender near the edge of the wheel well.
Step 7. Repeat steps 1 though 6 for the other rear wheel well.
Your mud flaps are now installed.
