CARE & MAINTENANCE
For optimal performance, the following features information in caring and maintaining your Kingston
Brass faucet:
For care in cleaning, it is recommended that you only clean your faucet with a mild non-abrasive soap
(hand soap).
If calcium or lime buildup is visible, it is suggested to use a half-and-half solution of one-part warm
water, one part vinegar, and a washcloth. Do not use any harsh or abrasive items when wiping down the
product.
The surface of your Kingston Brass faucet is non-porous, so there should not be any need for any harsh
cleaning agents. However, you may apply carnauba wax to the surface of your faucet to help prolong its
shine and extend the durability of your faucet.
** The oil rubbed bronze nish is a living nish. During installation, do not use Plumbers Putty as the
fumes will break down the protective coating. Use a silicon based sealer such as poly seam seal. After
installation, keep the faucet dry after use.
Periodically apply a thin coating of spray car wax; this will prevent accumulation of mineral deposits on
the surface of the faucet. Then clean with a mixture of a mild non-abrasive soap and water.
** For faucets with PVD and lacquered coating, use only mild soap and warm water to clean your faucet.
Do not use harsh chemical, acid-based detergents, abrasive cleaners, steel wool polishes or scouting
cleaners and any S.O.S. pads.
