WARNINGS: To Prevent Serious Injuries and Death
ADULT ASSEMBLY AND INSTALLATION REQUIRED.
Keep these instructions for future reference.
Prior to assembly, this package contains small parts: hardware which is a choking hazard and
may contain sharp edges and sharp points. Keep away from children until assembled.
Falls onto hard surfaces could result in head or other serious injuries. Never place on concrete,
asphalt, wood, packed earth, grass, carpet or other hard surfaces. Carpet over hard floors may
not prevent injury. Always use protective surfacing on the ground under and surrounding the
playground equipment according to the guidelines in this manual. Maximum fall height
protection up to 5 feet (1.5 m) required.
Children have died when hood or neck drawstrings on their jackets or sweatshirts caught on
slides or other playground equipment. Parents are advised to remove hood and next
drawstrings from clothing to prevent entanglement and strangulation.
Adult supervision required. Do not leave children unattended.
This product is intended for use by children ages 2 to 5 years.
Shoes must be worn at all times.
Maximum weight 100 lbs. (45 kg) per child. Limit 8 children.
CAUTION:
Observing the following statements and warnings reduces the likelihood of serious or fatal
injury.
Place this product on level ground not less than 6' (2 m) from any structure or obstruction such
as a fence, garage, house, overhanging branches, laundry lines or electrical wires.
To prevent serious injury, children must not use the equipment until properly installed.
Dress children appropriately: do not allow children to wear loose-fitting clothing including
ponchos, scarves and garments with drawstrings. Well-fitting shoes must be worn at all times.
It is recommended that the orientation of the assembled product be such that direct sunlight is
minimized on surfaces intended for standing or sitting.
Instruct children on proper use of this product, only after properly placed, and not in a manner
other than intended.
Do not allow children to climb on product when product is wet.
Instruct children not to attach items to the product that are not specifically designed for use with
the product such as, but not limited to, jump ropes, clotheslines, pet leashes, cables and chains,
as they may cause a strangulation hazard.
MAINTENANCE
Check all nuts, bolts, anchors and anchor hardware twice monthly during usage period and
tighten as required. Increase frequency of inspection and maintenance if equipment is subject to
heavy use. Also check all bolt coverings, if applicable, to be certain they are in place. Replace
when necessary. It is particularly important that this procedure be followed at the beginning of
each season.
Specific areas to inspect and maintain include, but are not limited to anchoring hardware,
bubble window, hardware, warning decals and the tunnel hardware. Call 1-800-321-0183 to
order replacement parts. Use ONLY Little Tikes replacement components for damaged or worn
items.
Do not use outdoors when temperatures fall below 0°F (-18°C).
DISPOSAL
Disassemble and dispose of equipment in such a manner that no hazardous conditions exist,
such as but not limited to, small parts and sharp edges, exist at the time equipment is
discarded.

WARNING:
Observing the following statements and
warnings reduces the likelihood of
serious or fatal injury.
Unit must be properly anchored prior to use.
Inspect product at regular intervals for
wear or loose hardware. Remove from
service if any abnormal conditions such as
cracks or breaks exist. Failure to perform
periodic checks could cause the anchored
product to overturn or cause a fall.
Anchors must be used on level ground.
Anchors must be installed entirely below
ground level to prevent children from
tripping.
SAFETY
CLEARANCE
ZONES
Orient the unit in the area intended for the installation.
CAUTION: Ensure that at least 6' (2 m) of clear,
unobstructed space surrounds the unit in every
direction. The safety
“use” zone must be free of all
obstacles such as: trees, posts, fences, buildings,
curbs, structures, etc.
TOTAL minimum space required 18' (5.5 m) x 24'
(7.3 m).
Once the 6' (2 m) safety “use” zone and
84" (2.15 m) overhead zone have been
established, mark the anchor areas as
shown above. Mark holes as close to the
unit as possible near the anchor cabling
holes in the climber. Carefully move the unit
away from the marked holes and proceed
to “Anchoring the Unit” section.

1. Dig holes 8" (20 cm) deep at locations
shown on the previous page. Hole should be
wider at the bottom so anchors can be
placed directly underneath the anchor hole in
product (as shown).
2. Screw auger anchor into soil so that the top
of the anchor is 4" (10 cm) below the top of
the hole. Carefully slide assembled unit back
over the hole locations.

3. Loop steel cable through anchor holes and
fasten steel wire cable clips so that cables
are tight. Tighten bolts securely.
4. Fill in all holes with 6" (15 cm) concrete as
shown. Allow to fully dry per the concrete
manufacturer’s instructions.
5. Fill in remainder of hole with packed top soil.
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety
Commission (CPSC) estimates that about
100,000 playground equipment-related injuries
resulting from falls to the ground surface are
treated annually in U.S. hospital emergency
rooms. Injuries involving this hazard pattern tend
to be among the most serious of all playground
injuries, and have the potential to be fatal,
particularly when the injury is to the head. The
surface under and around playground
equipment can be a major factor in determining
the injury-causing potential of a fall. It is self
evident that a fall onto a shock-absorbing
surface is less likely to cause a serious injury
than a fall onto a hard surface. Playground
equipment should never be placed on hard
surfaces such as concrete or asphalt and while
grass may appear to be acceptable it may
quickly turn to packed earth in areas of high
traffic. Shredded bark mulch, wood chips, fine
sand or fine gravel are considered to be
acceptable shock-absorbing surfaces when
installed and maintained at a sufficient depth
under and around playground equipment.
The following table lists the maximum height
from which a child would not be expected to
sustain a life-threatening head injury in a fall
onto four different loose-fill surfacing materials if
they are installed and maintained at depths of 6,
9, and 12 inches (152, 229, and 305 mm).
However, it should be recognized that all injuries
due to falls cannot be prevented no matter what
surfacing material is used.
6 inch 9 inch 12 inch
Type of (152 mm) (229 mm) (305 mm)
Material depth depth depth
Double Shredded
Bark Mulch 6' (1.8 m) 10' (3 m) 11' (3.4 m)
Wood Chips 6' (1.8 m) 7' (2.1 m) 12' (3.7 m)
Fine Sand 5' (1.5 m) 5' (1.5 m) 9' (2.7 m)
Fine Gravel 6' (1.8 m) 7' (2.1 m) 10' (3 m)
It is recommended that a shock-absorbing
material should extend a minimum of 6 ft. (2 m)
in all directions from the perimeter of the
stationary equipment such as climbers and
slides.
This information is intended to assist in
comparing the relative shock-absorbing
properties of various materials. No particular
material is recommended over another.
However, each material is only effective when
properly maintained. Materials should be
checked periodically and replenished to maintain
correct depth as determined necessary for your
equipment. The choice of a material depends on
the type and height of the playground
equipment, the availability of the material in your
area, and its cost.
Safety surface fill lines are molded in several
locations directly on the unit. These are to be
used as visual guidelines for safety surfacing
materials. Safety surfacing must be maintained
at these levels.
