The AF17-50mm F/2.8 is a lightweight, compact, super fast standard auto focus zoom lens
designed exclusively for digital SLR cameras. The very fast F/2.8 aperture is ideal for
existing light photography. The wide F/2.8 maximum aperture lets you achieve a shallow
depth of focus for creative portraits, or get higher shutter speeds to help you freeze the
action. When selecting an all around standard zoom lens, the 17-50mm is the ideal choice.
PROMASTER EDO (Enhanced Digital Optics) lenses have higher resolution, better control
of flare and ghosting, less light fall-off and lower chromatic aberration than traditional
lenses meant for film based SLR's.
