American Outland introduces the BZ5003 “Indoor/Outdoor Bug Zapper
equipped with a 18-watt high efciency UV-A lamp. This bug zapper lures
moths, ies, mosquitoes, and other ying insects by using black light, which
is the most efcient way to attract insects. The BZ5003 “Indoor/Outdoor
Bug Zapper” electrocutes bugs with its high voltage inner grid eliminating
the use of chemicals. The casing is made with ABS reproof durable plastic
and is TUV/GS certied. It is ideal for use in various environments, such as
houses, ofces, factories, food outlets, etc. Enjoy a bug and insect free
evening with the BZ5003 “Indoor/Outdoor Bug Zapper.

1. READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING.
2. Suitable for indoor and outdoor use. (Not suitable for commercial use).
3. HIGH VOLTAGE! DO NOT TOUCH THE INNER ELECTRIC GRIDS.
4. Never put metal objects inside the grids while the appliance is operating.
5. Check the local voltage before operating.
6. KEEP AWAY FROM FLAMMABLES.
7. KEEP THE PRODUCT AND ITS CORD OUT OF REACH FROM CHILDREN.
Children must be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the
appliance.
8. This product is not intended for use by persons (including children) with
reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and
knowledge unless they have been given supervision or instruction concern-
ing use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
9. Keep away from water to prevent an electric shock and/or injury.
10. Use extension cords marked with SJW-A, SJEW-A, OR SJTW-A only. The
electrical rating for the extension cord must be as great as the electrical
rating of the product.
11. Outdoor extension cords must be used when using this appliance
outside. Extension cords must be marked with sufx letters “W-A” and with
a tag stating “Suitable for use with Outdoor Appliances”.
12. When using extension cords, keep the socket-outlet away from moisture.
Do not use damaged cords.
13. Do not use this product in locations where ammable vapor or explosive
dust is likely to exist.
14. This appliance can be hung. When hanging this product, use the
attached chain and hang at a location that has enough support to hold the
bug zapper.
15. If not hung, place on level surfaces only.
16. The lamp cannot be replaced. If the lamp is no longer working, dispose
of the product.
17. If the power cord or any parts of the appliance is damaged, it must be
replaced by the manufacturer or an authorized party. Any servicing provided
by an unauthorized party will void the warranty.
18. Store products indoors and out of reach of children when not in use.
19. This product should only be connected a circuit that is protected by a
ground-fault circuit-interrupter (GFCI).
20. CAUTION: RISK OF UV EXPOSURE. Ensure that the product is placed at
least 1.5 ft from human activity while the product is illuminated.
21. Unplug the product before cleaning. Clean the plastic casing with a dry
cloth. Be sure to empty the collection tray every week or when necessary.
22. Do not clean this product with a water spray or similar method.
23. Never carry product by cord or yank it to disconnect from receptacle.

Using the Bug Zapper

1. Remove any packing materials and labels from your bug zapper.
2. Hang the bug zapper using the provided chain or place on a at
surface.
3. Plug in the bug zapper. CAUTION : BE SURE TO PLACE THE
PRODUCT AT LEAST 1.5 FT AWAY FROM CONTACT TO AVOID THE
RISK OF UV EXPOSURE.
4. Clean the plastic casing with a dry cloth. Be sure to empty the
collection tray every week or when necessary. SAVE THESE

WARRANTY
American Outland offers a 1 year limited warranty against defects in material
and workmanship for 1 year from the date of purchase, when used in accor-
dance with the instructions provided. Any defective part will be, at the
discretion of American Outland, repaired or replaced at no charge if the
product has not been tampered with has been used according to the printed
instructions. This warranty does not cover damages or wear resulting from
accident, misuse, abuse, commercial use, or unauthorized adjustment and/or
repair.
The consumer is responsible for charges incurred for shipping the defective
unit to American Outland for return/replacement. Keep your receipt as proof
of purchase. This warranty gives you specic legal rights as well as other
rights that vary from state to state.
