These assembly directions include instruction for assembly of: a complete unit and

replacement of a case with a kneespace assembly. Remove all drawers from case.

Drill cover mounting holes in case end which will

receive cover. Use template. Turn case upside down.

2. Mount end panels to top and case. Refer to Steelcase assembly directions

93-9501183. This step is used only when a complete unit is assembled.

3. Mount case to top using pre-drilled holes in case top and (6) 1/4-20 x 3/4 hex washer

head spin lock screws, (3) hold down plates and (5) 1-1/16Ó washers required.

NOTE: When replacing a case with a kneespace assembly, step 3 must be applied to remaining case.

4. Mount reinforcing angle to top case using (2) 1/4-20 x 3/4Ó hex washer head spin lock

and (2) 1/4-20 x 1/2 Òhex head spin lock use existing mounting holes.

5. Remove access cap by pulling upward on the left end of cap.

With your finger move the exposed release tab, disengaging

top of outer end panel. With the top of outer end panel tilted

outward, lift up removing the bottom tabs.

6. Line up back panel with back of case, end

panel and top. Fasten back panel to case.

Drill holes in top and side, using the back

panel as a template. Drill (3) holes in top

and (1) hole in case side.

HEAD SCREW

8. Mount back panel in place using fasteners.

7. Remove knock-outs from end panel. Place punch

across from attaching tab. and punch out enough to

grasp with pliers. Twist until knock-out is free.

9. Mount back panel in place using fasteners.

10. Mount cover to case side using holes drilled in step 1 and

(2) 8 x 3/8Ó phillips head screw. Make sure end panel and

top edges are flush with case edges before tightening

screws. Locate and drill (2) holes in bottom of case for

mounting cover bottom flange, using (2) 8 x 3/8Ó phillips

head screws.
