than ever before with the release of the
Epson PictureMate 500 portable photo
printer – the perfect printer for professional
photo prints anywhere, anytime.
Beautiful Photo Quality
With a maximum resolution of 5760 Optimised
dpi (when connected to the PC) using Resolution
Performance Management (RPM) technology, the
Epson PictureMate 500 can produce ink droplets
as small as 3pl. Playing a major part in the printer’s
professional quality print capabilities is its six-colour
(Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Photo Black, Red, Blue)
pigment ink system, which delivers extremely
smooth colour gradation and beautiful skin tones.
Building even further on the Epson PictureMate 500’s
professional quality photo printing is its ability to
produce beautiful True BorderFree
™

edge-to-edge
or classic border photos using a variety of tonal
effects, such as black-and-white or sepia.
Easy Connection
The Epson PictureMate 500 incorporates a wealth of features designed to
make printing images from cameras, computers and other devices simple,
straightforward and fast. With support for all major memory card formats
currently available, all that’s required is to insert the memory card / stick into
the appropriate slot, followed by a single press of the built-in Print button.
Your image files can then be viewed using the printer’s 2.4-inch colour LCD
screen and printed when and where you want them.
You can even access your photographs direct from PictBridge and USB Direct
Print-enabled cameras or you can attach the optional Bluetooth Photo Print
Adapter and connect wireless devices such as a mobile phone, PDA or notebook
computer. For direct-to-PC connections, the Epson PictureMate 500 features
broad support for Windows
®
and Macintosh
®
operating systems.

Affordability and Choice
With the Epson PictureMate 500, creating
beautiful photo prints is more than quick
and easy – it’s incredibly affordable. In stark
contrast to a traditional photo lab that prints
the entire roll of film, it’s your choice which
photos and quantities are printed.

PictureMate 500 is its specially designed
PicturePack, which includes a six-colour
photo cartridge and a pack of Genuine
Epson 4x6-inch PictureMate Photo Paper.

Durable Printing
Drink spills and sticky fingers need no

photos. With its pigment ink system, the
Epson PictureMate 500 has been designed
to print photographs that have high levels
of resistance to water and smudging –
photographs that can withstand the rigours
of constant handling and exposure to
moisture. Your photos will also retain their
vibrant colours for generations to come,
remaining resistant to the damaging effects
of light for over 104* years; and even longer
when displayed in a glass frame or kept in
photo albums.

By taking advantage of the option to use
a compatible, rechargeable Li-Ion battery
(not included), the Epson PictureMate 500
can provide you with on-the-spot beautifully
printed photographs, whether you’re sitting
in your loungeroom, holidaying in a
houseboat or even camping in the bush.
PC-Free Layout Selection
For creating prints at the touch of a button, the Epson PictureMate
500 features a high performance and bright 2.4-inch LCD screen
and very intuitive control panel, which lets you select the best
options for your print without being connected to a PC. By using
the screen and control panel, you can select from a variety of print
layouts, such as Classic Border, BorderFree, Index (20), Double
Printing, Half Page and Photo ID.
Adding even further to the PC-free flexibility of the Epson
PictureMate 500 is the ability to zoom in on a particular area of a
photo displayed on the LCD screen and print just that area without
cropping the original image.
Creativity On-Demand
With its in-built Print Image Framer (PIF) software, the Epson
PictureMate 500 lets you add a creative touch to your photo
prints simply by selecting from a range of frames, including
16 Disney character frames. For even greater creativity, the
Epson PictureMate 500 is bundled with the Epson Creativity
Suite
#
software, which features Epson’s Easy Photo Print,
Darkroom Print and File Manager applications – perfect for
everything from managing your image files to creating original
decorative frames and special effects.
