1 USB Driver Installation under Windows XP

Ð As a first step, install the PVSUN MEMO Control Center soft-

ware. The required USB driver is located in the installation di-

rectory under „USB Driver“.

Ð Connect the device with your PC. Windows issues a message

saying that new hardware has been found.

The install wizard starts automatically.

Ð Select option „No, not this time“ and click on „Proceed“.

Ð Select option „Install software from a list or a specified source

directory“ and click on „Proceed“.

Ð Select option „Search these source directories for the most

appropriate driver“ and „Search the following source directory

as well“. Click on „Search“ and select the installation directory

of the PVSUN MEMO Control Center software and then sub-

directory „USB Driver“.

Ð Click on „Proceed“.

Ð Click on option „Continue installation“.

After a short period of time, the driver installation has been com-

pleted.

Ð Open the device manager (Start -> Settings -> System Con-

trol -> System -> Hardware -> Device Manager) in order to

check whether Windows recognizes the device properly.

Under file directory „Connections“ PVSUN MEMO (COMX) must be

listed (see figure below):

Installation is now competed!

Note

If you connect the device with another USB port at the

same PC, it may occur that you are requested to execute

the driver installation once more.

In this case, the message about newly connected hard-

ware pops up again and the entire driver installation pro-

cess must be repeated.

2 USB Driver Installation under Windows 7

Ð As a first step, install the PVSUN MEMO Control Center soft-

ware. The required USB driver is located in the installation di-

rectory under „USB Driver“.

Ð Connect the device with your PC. Windows issues a message

saying that new hardware has been found and that the device

driver software could not be installed however.

Ð Start the device manager (Start -> System Control -> Devices

and Sound -> Device Manager).

Ð Click on „Other devices“ and then click with the right mouse

button on „PVSUN MEMO“ to select option „Update driver

software…“.

Ð Select option „search for driver software on your PC“.

PVSUN MEMO Control Center software and then subdirec-

tory „USB Driver“.

Ð Click on „Proceed“.

Ð Click on option „Install this driver software nevertheless“.

After a short period of time, the driver installation has been com-

pleted.

Ð Open the device manager (Start -> System Control -> System

and Sound -> Device Manager) in order to check whether

Windows now recognizes the device properly.

Under file directory „Connections“ PVSUN MEMO (COMX) must be

listed (see figure below):

Installation is now competed!
