Product Discontinuance

Effective immediately, 3M is discontinuing the production of tin/lead solder tail versions of its Pin Strip

Header, 1512 Series 2 mm x 2 mm pitch. Demand for tin-/lead-plated products in this family no longer

justifies their continued production.

Parts affected by this notice have the following part number format:

1512XX-8X22-TB

1512XX-7X22-TB

1512XX-2X20-TB

1512XX-2X20-TB-WX

These parts can all be found on TS-0808.

A limited amount of inventory will be built with the Tin/Lead plated contacts to support last time purchases.

At current usage rates, this inventory is expected to last approximately 90 days from the date of this notice.

Due to uncertain customer demand, however, 3M is unable to guarantee availability past the initial

inventory build.

Replacement Parts

Customers are encouraged to immediately begin work to replace all tin-/lead-plated products with their

RoHS compliant* matte tin-plated replacements. Replacement part numbers have the following part

number format:
