1. Q: Why I don’t see the New Hardware Found wizard after I installed the hardware and
turn-ON my computer?
A: Re-seat the 1394 PCI card to the (same or other available) PCI slot. Make sure all its
gold-fingers are firmly contacted into the PCI slot and the PCI slot works for other PCI
adapters.
2. Q: Why my computer does not install the 1394 PCI card?
A: Only Windows operating system has fully supported for IEEE1394 host controllers.
You may need to upgrade your system.
3. Q: Why my FireWire (IEEE1394) device(s) are not working with the 1394 PCI card?
A: Re-connect the device FireWire cable and make sure the cable is working properly.
Refer to the FireWire device instruction manual and make sure the device driver is
installed correctly. Additional software may need to install for the device, such as
DirectX 8.1 or later version.
Note: 1394 PCI card only supports FireWire device(s) that consume no more than 1.5A
voltage.
