When using threaded screws for fastening
Please observe the following for drilling holes:
– Check beforehand that there is sufficient clearance for the drill bit to
emerge on the other side.
– When tightening ensure that the nut cannot pull up through the
construction (use larger washers or metal plates, if necessary).
u Drill a Ø 5.5 mm hole at the previously marked points.
u Bond the insulation plate provided with adhesive on both faces to the
holder fitting side. This support functions as a seal and paintwork
protection (see . G 8).
u Screw on the camera holder using the M 5 x 20 mm threaded screws
or longer threaded screws, depending on the thickness of the
construction (see . G 12).
For the parts required for fastening with threaded screws
see . G 6 to G 9.
Producing the opening / hole for the camera connection cable
Observe the information on cable laying from Page 48.
Use existing openings, if possible, such as e.g. ventilation grids,
for routing the camera connection cable. If there are no such
possibilities it will be necessary to drill a Ø 13 mm hole. Check
beforehand that there is sufficient space for the drill bit to emerge
on the other side.
u Drill a Ø 13 mm hole near the camera (see . G 13).
u Deburr all holes made in the sheet metal and treat with rust proofing
agent.
u Fit grommets to all sharp-edged holes.
Fastening the camera protection cover to the camera
Never fit the camera without the additional camera cover. Only
use the M 3 x 6 mm countersunk head screws to attach the
camera protection cover (see . G 14). Longer screws would
damage the camera.
u Slide the camera protection cover over the camera such that the
indents in the camera protection cover are positioned above the
Ø M 3 mm threaded holes of the camera. The two other fastening
holes must be above the Ø M 4 mm threaded holes.
