Putting your cleaner together
Slide the back panel onto the base. To secure, insert the screws into
the front of the back panel.
Slide the end of the long hose onto
the back panel dirt tube.
Turn counterclockwise to secure.

Putting your vacuum cleaner together
Align the carry handle holes with
the holes on the back panel. Slide
the handle forward. Insert two
screws into the holes and tighten
until secure.
Place the upper handle onto the
upright back panel.
Attach the turbo tool clip into the
turbo tool caddy.

Putting your vacuum cleaner together
Place the turbo tool caddy onto the
front of the vacuum lower handle.
Insert the two screws into the back
of the handle and screw them into
the tool caddy. Tighten until secure.
Clip the turbo tool onto the front of
the turbo tool caddy.

Putting your vacuum cleaner together
Wrap the hose around the back of
the hose caddy. Push the hose
wand down into the right side of the
cleaner to secure.
Align the tabs on the clear dirt
passage window with the slots on
the lower hose cuff. Push and turn
the hose clockwise until secure.
Attach the tools. Slide the dust
brush onto the post in the upper
tool caddy with the bristles facing
out.
Slide the extension wand/ crevice
tool into the round opening on the
front of the right side of the tool
caddy.

Align the slots on the lid with the
tabs on the dust canister. Push the
lid down and twist clockwise.
Use the arrow marked on the lid to
ensure that the dust canister and lid
are aligned properly.
Insert the tab on the bottom of the
dust canister into the rectangular
slot on the cleaner.
To secure the dust canister push
the top into place, there will be an
audible click when it is secure.

Operating the vacuum cleaner
Release the power cord by turning
the quick cord release. The cord
should be inserted into the cord
guide while vacuuming to keep it
out of the way.
Slide the height adjuster lever to
match the surface being cleaned.
Important: For easiest adjustment
the vacuum cleaner should be in
the upright position.
Plug the cord into a mains
electricity socket.
Turn the cleaner on by pressing on
the foot pedal at the rear left of the
vacuum cleaner.

Operating the vacuum cleaner
To release the handle push the
handle release pedal, located on
the the lower left side of the
cleaner.
Move the handle to the desired
position (A) for storage and position
(B) for normal operation.
To clean under furniture, press
the release pedal again and use
position (C).

The vacuum cleaner must be in the
upright position to raise the brush
roll.
Remove the hose from the quick
release lever.

Operating the vacuum cleaner
Choose any of the handy
accessories or use the hose alone.
If using an accessory, simply push
the attachment firmly onto the end
of the wand to hose handle.
To remove the accessory twist and
pull apart gently.

Emptying the dust canister
Push down on the latch to release
the dust canister from the vacuum
cleaner.
If additional length is needed, use
the extension wand and crevice tool
out of the extension wand. You can
use the extension wand and crevice
tool together or separately.
Remove the lid by grasping the dust
canister handle and turning the lid
counterclockwise.
Carry handle
Use the carry handle on the back of
the vacuum cleaner to move it from
room to room
Note: Do not push the cleaner
forward while leaning on the back
wheels. Do not pull the cleaner back
on to it’s wheels.
Extension wand
The filter inside the dust canister
should not need replacing but it
should be cleaned each time the
dust canister is emptied. Remove it
by grasping the ring at the top of
the filter.
The plug must be removed from the mains socket outlet before cleaning or maintaining
the appliance.

Twist and pull the filter out.
To clean it, tap it gently against the
side of a dustbin. Do not use a
brush to clean it as this may
damage the filter.
Do not wash the filter.
Empty all the dirt and dust from the
canister.

Return the filter to the dust canister.
Push the filter back into place to
prevent dirt leakage and replace lid.
Return the dust container to the
vacuum cleaner.

Unplug the vacuum cleaner from
the mains supply. Press the handle
release button and turn the vacuum
cleaner over so that the base lies
flat and face up. Use a screwdriver
to remove the five retaining screws
shown above.
Remove the nozzle guard.
Slide the belt onto the motorshaft.
Then slide the brush bar into the
belt.
Belt or Brush removal and replacement
Lift and remove the brush bar, then
slide the belt off the motor shaft
and dispose of it.

With the new belt in place, pull and
slide the brushroll into the nozzle.
Ensure that the brushroll end caps
are correctly oriented as shown
inset above. Rotate the brush roll
manually to make sure it is properly
aligned.
Re-attach the nozzle guard. Replace all five screws to secure
the nozzle guard in place.

Light bulb removal and
replacement
Unplug your vacuum cleaner.
Lean the cleaner handle back and
remove the two screws located on
either side of the headlight lens.
Pull the bulb out of the socket
gently. Do Not twist the bulb.
Gently push the replacement bulb
into the socket.
Secure the headlight lens by
replacing the two screws.
Phillips screwdriver required
You will also need a 12volt T5 (16mm) wedge base bulb.

General maintenance
If your cleaner is plugged in and
has been emptied recently but
there is no suction at the end of the
hose, it is likely that the hose is
blocked.
To clear, switch off and unplug your
vacuum cleaner and remove the
hose from the rear of the vacuum
cleaner.
Undo the long hose from the back
panel dirt tube.
Check for obstructions, remove any
which are found and replace the
hose.
You should also check the short
hose at the front of your vacuum
cleaner. Undo the hose from the
clear dirt passage window before
checking for obstructions.

nozzle guard
If your vacuum cleaner has suction
at the hose but is not picking up the
nozzle guard may be obstructed.
Switch off and unplug your vacuum
cleaner. Remove the nozzle guard
by removing the five screws.
Check for obstructions and remove
if found.
Rotate the locking ring 180º and
turn the turbo tool over.
Pivot the lower housing and then
remove and obstruction you find
underneath.
To reassemble ensure the tabs are
engaged and the pivot the lower
housing closed.

• Do not pull or carry by the cord, use the cord as a handle, allow the cord to come into contact with hot or
sharp surfaces or close a door on the cord.
• Do not unplug by pulling on the cord.
• Do not handle the plug or appliance with wet hands.
• Do not put any objects into openings or operate with openings blocked, keep them free of anything that may
reduce airflow.
• Keep hair, loose clothing, fingers, and all parts of the body away from openings and moving parts.
• Do not vacuum any glowing, burning or smoking particles.
• Do not use without the dust canister and filters in place.
• Turn off all controls before unplugging.
• Use extra care when cleaning on stairs.
• Do not use to pick up flammable or combustible liquids such as petrol, or use in areas where they may
be present.
• Keep the vacuum cleaner on the floor, only the hand held tools may be used on furniture.
• Do not use an extension cord with this vacuum cleaner.
• Switch off before attaching or removing the turbo tool.
• Do not attempt to remove blockages in the hose with sharp objects as they may cause damage.
• Store the vacuum cleaner indoors. Put the vacuum cleaner away after use to prevent tripping accidents.
• Using improper voltage may result in damage to the motor and possible injury to the user. The correct
voltage is listed on the ratings plate.

• Power cord not firmly pushed into
a mains socket.
• Blown fuse or tripped circuit breaker.
• Lower hose not connected properly.
Dust canister not installed correctly or full.
• Broken or worn belt.
• Clogged filter.
• Nozzle/hose or hose inlet is clogged.
• turbo tool is clogged.
• Dust canister full.
• Dust canister not installed properly.
• Hose not installed correctly.
• Filter not fitted.
• Bulb burnt out.
Possible solution
• Plug cord in firmly.
• Check fuse/breaker. Replace fuse or
reset breaker.
• Refer to page 3 for fitting information.
• See ‘Emptying the dust canister’.
• Replace the belt.
• Remove filter and clean.
• Remove nozzle/hose or turbo tool and
remove obstruction.
• Empty dust canister.
• See ‘Emptying the dust canister’.

• Replace the bulb.
