GV Power Nozzle
Powering on/off: Connect wand to head and hose. Plug two prong head cord into
your vacuums electric hose. Turn vacuum on and turn electric hose on if applicable.
Then press the button with the power symbol on it. (large grey area with the oval and
line on it.) Once finished use the same button to power the head nozzle off.
Height Adjuster: The large grey area with two triangles and numbers print on it is the
height adjustment pedal. Press this pedal firmly on the back raised portion of the pedal
to change the head height. Height indicator window will show you numbers 1 through
6. 1 is the lowest setting and is best on low pile commercial style carpeting. 6 is the
highest and is best used on high pile, plush carpet. Repeatedly pressing the adjustment
pedal will raise it from 1 to 6 and then from 6 to 1.
Reset Button: The GV Power Nozzle is protected by a thermal switch which works by
shutting the motor off when it becomes over heated. The purpose for this protection is
to shut your power nozzle off if something such as a sock, rag, drapes etc. accidentally
get pulled into your brush roll. If this happens, the button will light up indicating a
clog/jam. Ensure power cord is disconnected then pull the item out of the nozzle. Once
the brush roll is clear, plug the power cord back in and push reset. This will power your
head back on.
Brush roll: ALWAYS ensure your power nozzle is unplugged before any maintenance.
Regularly check and maintain your brush roll. Removing hair and strings that wrap
themselves around your brush roll is the number one action you can take to prevent
premature failure of any vacuum that uses a brush roll especially if it has an electrically
driven brush roll. Once again to prevent injury PLEASE ensure cords are
unplugged from the power supply before doing any maintenance.
Locking Pivot: Press pedal located on rear of head and move pivot away from nozzle
in order to unlock the pivot. When job is complete simply move pivot upright and it will
automatically lock and keep wand in upright position.
