NOTE: AN ELECTROSTATIC DISCHARGE WRIST STRAP SHOULD BE WORN DURING ASSEMBLY
PROCESS ANY TIME BOARDS ARE BEING TOUCHED.
BENCH SUBASSEMBLY (rear panel with box and rear plate):
1. Check USB connection (a laptop is needed)
a. Plug in the USB cable from the laptop to the USB port on the panel.
b. A green light appears on the motherboard (C13-260) when cable harness C13-265
(C25270) is connected correctly.
c. If the green light does not appear, C13-265 (C25270) is on the wrong pins and should be
adjusted (only 8 pins are used although it is a 10 pin harness)
2. Calibrate the cart voltage (a voltmeter is needed):
a. Press OK to wake up touch pad
b. Enter Service Code (911) and then press OK
c. Press the FUNCTION key until “Set battery warning levels?” appears, press OK
d. Use the voltmeter to measure the voltage across the batteries
e. Enter the voltage from the voltmeter on the screen _ _ . _ _, press OK
f. Press OK to exit the function
g. Press SIGN OUT to complete this step
3. General check for the batteries:
a. Press and hold the SELECT button. It should read higher than 12.0 volts to ensure the
batteries are okay and fully charged.
VOLTAGE: _________
4. Keypad Test
a. Press OK to wake up touch pad
b. Enter Service Code (911) and then press OK
c. Press the FUNCTION key until “Test the keypad and switches?” appears, press OK
d. Check every key using the table below. Proper function of each button will display the
number or letter shown.
e. Press OK twice to exit the test.
f. Press SIGN OUT to complete this step
5. Prepare to send to assembly line:
a. Disconnect the Touchpad and repackage. Send it with the assembly.
b. Press button on Reset-On-Off Switch Harness (C13-613) to power off circuit.

CART PRODUCTION ASSEMBLY:
6. Connections:
a. Connect the motor/switch harness(es) to the driver board (J4, J5, J6)
b. Assemble the touchpad fully to the cart.
c. Press button on Reset-On-Off Switch Harness to power on Unit.
7. General check for the relay and boards:
a. Turn each key individually. A message should appear “Lock cart with the key to sign
out”
8. Setup Cart for 1, 2, or 3 bays; AND adjust the Main Motor (s)
a. Press OK to wake up touch pad
b. Enter Service Code (911) and then press OK
c. Press the FUNCTION key until “Configure Cart Bays” appears, press OK
d. Use key 1, 2, 3, to select the active locking bays. Press OK
e. Press the FUNCTION key until “Measure the Bay Lock Timing” appears, press OK
f. Follow the prompts to set timing for each motor individually: 1, 2, and 3.
g. Press the FUNCTION key until “Unlock Cart” appears, Press OK
h. Choose each bay 1, 2, and/or 3. Press OK to verify each motor works
i. Press SIGN OUT to complete this step
9. ONLY FOR DOUBLE AND TRIPPLE BAY CARTS
. Enable Cart bays for user
a. Press any key to wake up the touchpad
b. Enter Default Supervisor Code 1350, and then Press OK
c. Press the FUNCTION key twice. “Edit an Operator ID” appears, press OK
d. Enter the default user code: 0531, Press OK
e. Press the SELECT key once so “Current assigned bays: 1” appears
f. Press OK to change this setting.
g. Press SELECT to choose.
h. Use “1”, “2”, “3” buttons to toggle the bays ON and OFF. (See 8d for diagram of bays)
i. Press OK.
j. Press SELECT to skip to the next option. It will read “The Operator ID was updated”
k. Press OK to continue.
l. Press SIGN OUT to complete this step
10. Check Cart normal operation
a. Press any key to wake up the touchpad
b. Enter 4-digit User Code (0531), and then press OK
(Note that the user code 0531 will only unlock the bays that have been setup for
this user. See step 9
to vary the user assigned bays.)
c. The cart should unlock all of the bays that have been setup. Check by checking use of a
Starsys drawer.
d. Press SIGN OUT to re-lock the unit

11. If the cart has a proximity reader: Enable proximity Reader for cart
a. Press OK to wake up touch pad
b. Enter Service Code (911) and then press OK
c. Press FUNCTION key until “Enable Card Reader” is displayed
d. Follow the prompts to select the appropriate reader
i. IBC Proximity
e. Press OK, Press SIGN OUT to complete this step
12. Enable proximity reader for the default user
a. Enter Default Supervisor Code 1350 and then Press OK
b. Press the FUNCTION key until “Edit an Operator ID” appears, press OK
c. Enter the default user code “0531”, Press OK. You will set up the card reader for this
user.
d. Follow the prompts to setup the proximity card. You will need to have an actual card in
hand, and pass it over the reader. The touchpad will show a card ID number (i.e.
000012345). Press OK to accept.
e. Press SELECT to toggle past the rest of the options for a user.
f. You will see the screen “The operator ID was updated” which confirms the data is saved.
Press OK.
g. Press SIGN OUT to complete this step
13. Check Cart normal operation with Proximity card:
h. Swipe the proximity cart over the reader to unlock the cart
i. Press SIGN OUT to relock the cart.
14. Final Assembly Step:
a. Press button on Reset-On-Off Switch Harness to power down unit.
