Batteries
ThetelephonerequiresfourtypeAA1.5Vbatteriessothatalarm
numbers,memoryetc.continuetofunctionintheeventofpower
failure.
Whenthebatteriesarerunninglowthe

1.Unplugthetelephoneandremovethecoveronthebaseofthe
telephonebylooseningthescrew.
2.Insertthebatteriesaccordingtothemarkingsforplusand
minus terminals.
3.Replacethebatterycoverandreconnectthetelephonecord.
To change batteries in the cordless alarm unit
Ifthecordlessalarmunitceasestofunctionchangethebattery
asfollows:
1.UseaPhillipsscrewdrivertoloosenthescrewonthebackand
separatethepartsbygentlyturningaatscrewdriverinthe
grooveontheunderside.
2.Exchangethe12Vbatteryforanewonefollowingthe
markingsforplusandminusterminals.
3.Reassemblethepartsandscrewtogether.
Locating the telephone
Whenselectingasiteforthemainunit,bearinmindthefollowing:
• AlwaysconnectDoroSecure347totherstnetworkwall
socket.
• DonotplacethetelephonenearotherequipmentsuchasTVs,
computermonitors,radiatorsetc.Thisistominimizetherisk
ofanyinterference.
• Donotplacetheequipmentinalocationwhereitwillbe
exposedtodirectsunlightorothermajorheatsources.
Onveryrareoccasions,therubberfeetonthebaseofthe
devicemayleavemarksonthesurfaceonwhichitisplaced.
Takecarewhenplacingitonasensitivesurface.

Alarm function
Important!
Atleastonespeed dial (emergencynumber)mustbestored
and an alarm message recordedforthetelephone’salarm
functiontowork.Atleastonecordlessalarmbuttonmustbe
registeredtothetelephoneaswell.Thealarmbuttonwillash
alternatelygreenandreduntilthisisdone.
Thealarmfunctionhelpsyoutogetimmediatehelp/contactwith
thosepeople/numbersthatarestoredontheM1-M4 speed dial
buttons.

just one button.

Making an alarm call with speed dial

thetelephoneorthecordlessalarmunit.Thebuttonshouldbe
presseddownforabout2secondsuntilthetelephonebegins
tobeepandthelightcomeson.(Itisalsopossibletolinktoa
cord-connected alarm unit, see External alarm unit).

Cordless Alarm Unit
Thetelephonecomesequippedwithapre-registeredcordless
alarmunit.Ifthecordlessalarmunitstopsworkingand
changingthebatterydoesnothelp(seeBatteries), it is possible
simplytoregisteranewonetothetelephone.
Registering the cordless alarm unit
1.HoldthePAIRING buttononthebackofthephonedown.
Thealarmbutton showsabluelight.
2.Pressthebuttononthecordlessalarmunit.Thealarmbutton
showsagreenlightwhenpairingiscomplete.
3.ReleasethePAIRINGbuttononthebackofthephone.
Itispossibletohavetwocordlessalarmunitsregisteredtothe
telephonesimultaneously.
Ifadditionalcordlessunitsareregistered,therstregisteredwill
be disabled.
Alwayscheckthatthecordlessalarmunitsinuseareworking
withtrialtests.
External Alarm Unit
Onthebackofthetelephonethereisasocket(markedEXT)
towhichacable-connectedalarmunitmaybeattached.A3.5
mmmonoplugisusedforconnection,andaclosedswitche.g.
apush-buttonforanalarmbellisusedtoactivateanalarm.The
cable-connectedalarmunitworksinthesamewayasthealarm
buttononthetelephone.

periodoftime.DoroSecure347isdevelopedespeciallysothat
bothinstallationanduseareassimpleaspossible.
Automaticcallstopolice,rebrigadeetcarenotnormally
allowed.Therefore,youshouldnotprogramthesenumbersin
thelistofnumberstobecalledautomaticallyinanemergency
situation.Someprivatesecuritycompaniescanacceptautomatic
callsfromtheirclients.Alwayscontactthesecuritycompany
beforeprogramminginitsnumber.
Therangeofthecordlessalarmbuttonvariesdependingon
variousfactorsinthesurroundingenvironment.Theradiowaves
carryingthesignalencountermanyobstaclesinthepathbetween
telephoneandalarmunitthatpartlyreectandpartlyabsorbthe
radiowaveswhichresultindampingeffects,Therangeislimited
bywalls,oors,ceilings,metalandconcreteconstructions.
Therefore,youshouldalwayscheckthatthealarmunitactually
doeshavecontactwiththephonebyactivatingthealarmin
differentplacesaroundthehome.
