The Astria Fireplaces Vega is a vent-free firebox that can be used to create a warm and inviting atmosphere in your home. It is designed for use with natural gas or propane and features a variety of safety features, including an oxygen depletion sensor and a flame failure device. GENERAL INFORMATION

This ﬁ ber liner accessory is approved for use in Vegas32Z6, Vega36Z6

and Vegas42Z6 series vent-free ﬁ reboxes. Do not use ﬁ ber liner acces-

sory in any other ﬁ replace models.

If you encounter any problems, need clariﬁ cation of these instructions or

are not qualiﬁ ed to properly install this kit, contact your local distributor

or dealer.

Read this instruction sheet in its entirety before beginning the installation.

ALL WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS IN THE INSTALLATION AND OPERA-

TION MANUAL PROVIDED WITH THE APPLIANCE APPLY TO THESE

INSTRUCTIONS.

Check the contents of the kits upon receipt and check for any damaged

or missing parts. If there is hidden damage, notify your freight company

WARNING: Turn off, unplug, and let ﬁ replace cool before

installing ﬁ ber liner. Only a qualiﬁ ed service person should

service and repair ﬁ replace.

NOTICE: If already installed, you must remove log base as-

sembly before installing ﬁ ber liner. Refer to log base assembly

Installation and Operation Instructions manual.

WARNING: A qualiﬁ ed service person must connect and

disconnect ﬁ replace to gas supply. Follow all local codes.

NOTE: Some installations may require the gas supply line to be discon-

nected before removing log assembly. If so, call a qualiﬁ ed service person

to disconnect gas supply from ﬁ replace.

IMPORTANT: Always handle ﬁ ber panels with two hands.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

1. Install rear ﬁ ber panel on back wall. Rest bottom edge of ﬁ ber

panel on ﬁ rebox ﬂ oor. Lean ﬁ ber against back wall of ﬁ rebox

while installing side panels.

NOTE: The rear panel is held in place by two side panels.

2. Gently slide left side ﬁ ber into place while holding rear ﬁ ber

panel upright against ﬁ rebox back.

3. Use supplied retainer bracket and screw to secure side ﬁ ber

panel to ﬁ rebox (see Figure 2).

4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 for right side ﬁ ber panel.

5. There is a gas knockout in each side panel for the gas line to

feed through (see Figure 2). Determine on which side the gas

connection will be located. Using a utility knife or cutting blade,

remove the identiﬁ ed gas knockout.

6. Replace log base if removed for ﬁ ber panel installation (see log

base Installation And Operation Instructions manual for proper

installation).

CAUTION: Always handle ﬁ ber panels with two hands. Do

not force ﬁ ber panels into place. Excessive force will break

ﬁ ber panels.

WARNING: Test all gas piping and connections for leaks after

installing or servicing. Correct all leaks at once.

WARNING: Never use an open ﬂ ame to check for a leak.

Apply a noncorrosive leak detection ﬂ uid to all joints. Bubbles

forming show a leak. Correct all leaks at once.
