What to do
READ THE INSTRUCTION MANUAL AND ALL SUPPLEMENTS (IF ANY ENCLOSED) THOROUGHLY
BEFORE OPERATING THE UNIT.
1. Wear close fitting, tough work clothing that will provide protection, such as long slacks or trousers, safety
work shoes, heavy duty work gloves, hard hat, a safety face shield or safety glasses for eye protection and
a good grade ear plugs or other sound barriers for hearing protection.
2. Refuel in a safe place. Open the fuel cap slowly to release any pressure which may have formed in the
fuel tank. Always wipe the unit of fuel or oil spills before starting. To prevent a fire hazard, move at least 3
meters from the fuelling area before starting.
3. Turn the unit off before setting it down and also before installing or removing attachments.
4. Keep all screws and fasteners tight and the unit in good operating condition. Never operate this equipment
if it is improperly adjusted or not completely and securely assembled.
5. Keep handles dry, clean and free of fuel mixture.
6. Store equipment away from possible ignition sources, such as gasoline-powered water heaters, clothes
dryers or oil-fired furnaces, portable heaters etc.
7. Always keep the engine free of debris build-up.
8. Operation of equipment should always be restricted to mature and properly instructed individuals. Children
or disabled people are not allowed to use the machine.
9. All persons with respiratory problems and persons operating the blower in very dusty environments should
wear a dust particle mask at all times. Paper dust masks are available at most paint and hardware stores.
10. Operate the machine only at reasonable hours - not early in the morning or late at night when people
might be disturbed. Comply with times listed in local ordinances.
11. Operate the machine at the lowest possible engine speed to do the job.
12. Use rakes and brooms to loosen debris before blowing.
13. In dusty conditions, slightly dampen the surfaces.
14. Use the full blower nozzle extension so the air stream can work close to the ground.
15. Watch out for children, pets, open windows etc. and blow debris safely away.
What not to do
WARNING: Do not use any other fuel than that recommended in this manual. Always follow instruc-
tions in chapter “Fuel and lubrication” of this manual. Never use gasoline unless it is properly mixed
with two-cycle engine lubricant. Permanent damage to the engine will result, voiding manufacturer’s
warranty.
1. Do not smoke while refuelling or operating the equipment.
2. Do not operate the unit without a muffler and properly installed muffler shield.
3. Do not touch or let your hands or body come in contact with a hot muffler or spark plug wire.
4. Due to the danger of exhaust fumes, never operate the blower in a confined or poorly ventilated area.
5. Never point the blower in the direction of people, animals, buildings, automobiles, windows etc.
6. Do not operate the unit without the inlet cover installed to prevent contact with the impeller.
7. Do not set a hot engine down where flammable material is present.
8. Do not operate the unit for prolonged periods. Rest periodically.
9. Do not operate the unit while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
WARNING: Do not add, remove or alter any components of this product. Doing so could cause per-
sonal injury and/or damage the unit voiding manufacturer’s warranty.
10. Do not operate the unit near or around flammable liquids or gases, whether in or out of doors. An explo-
sion and/or fire may result.
11. Do not wear loose clothing, scarf, neck chains, unconfined long hair or similar. Doing so could cause injury
associated with objects being drawn into the rotating parts.
12. Do not refuel a running engine or an engine that is hot.

13. Never allow children or disabled people to operate the appliance.
14. Warning of the danger of rotating parts.

ASSEMBLY
Blower tube installation
- Remove bolts (A) and (B). Insert the blower tube
(C) into the blower housing. Replace bolts (A) and
(B) and tighten them as well as screws in the side
of the blower securely. (Fig. 1)
Harness installation
- Attach the harness clip to the link in the blower handle. (Fig. 2)

Collection bag installation
1. Slide the bag (A) over the flared end of the connector tube (B). Fold under excess. Insert strap (C) through
the loop, draw tight and lock the velcro in place. (Fig. 3A)
2. Pull the slide (D) forward and fit the bag (A) into the vacuum housing. (Fig. 3B and 3C)
FUEL AND LUBRICATION
Fuel
- Use regular grade unleaded gasoline mixed with Viima two-stroke oil for best results.
WARNING: Never use straight gasoline in the unit. This will cause permanent engine damage and
voids manufacturer’s warranty for the product. Never use fuel mixture that has been stored for over 90
days.
WARNING: If two-stroke lubricant other than Viima two-stroke oil is to be used, it must be a premium
grade oil for two-cycle air-cooled engines mixed at a 40:1 ratio. Do not use any two-stroke oil product
with a recommended mixing ratio of 100:1. If sufficient lubrication is the cause of engine damage, it
voids manufacturer’s engine warranty.
Mixing fuel
- Add oil to an approved fuel container followed by gasoline to allow the incoming gasoline to mix with oil.
Shake the container to ensure thorough mix.
WARNING: Lack of lubrication voids engine warranty. Gasoline and oil must be mixed at 40:1 ratio.

Recommended fuels
- Some conventional gasolines are being blended with oxygenates such as alcohol or an ether compound to
meet clean air standards. This engine is designed to operate satisfactorily on any gasoline intended for
automotive use including oxygenated gasolines.
OPERATION
Starting a cold engine
Fill the fuel tank with proper gasoline/oil mixture (chapter “Fuel and lubrication”). Set the unit on the ground so
that it rests on its wheels.

1. Move the ON/OFF-switch to ON-position. (Fig. 4A)
2. Pump the primer bulb (A) 6 times. (Fig. 4B)
3. The unit is designed with a three position choke: full choke , partial choke = start and run .
Move the choke lever to full choke-position . (Fig. 4C)
4. Grip the handle firmly.
5. Pull the starter rope out a short way until resistance is felt (approximately 100 mm). A smooth rapid pull is
required for a strong spark. Pull the starter rope briskly 4 times. (Fig. 4D)
6. Move the choke lever to start-position . Let the engine run for 10 seconds to warm up and then press
the trigger. (Fig. 4E and 4F)
7. Move the choke lever to run-position , the engine will run at racing speed. (Fig. 4G)
8. If engine fails to start, repeat steps 3 through 7.
NOTE: If engine fails to start after repeated attempts, refer to “Troubleshooting” section.
NOTE: Always pull the starter rope straight out. Pulling the starter at an angle will cause the rope to rub
against the eyelet. This friction will cause the rope to fray and wear quickly. Always hold the starter handle
when the rope retracts. Never let the rope snap back from extended position. This could cause the rope to
snag or fray and also damage the starter assembly.
Stopping the engine (Fig. 4H)
Emergency stopping procedure
When it is necessary to stop the blower engine immediately, depress the switch to stop the engine.
Normal stopping method
For normal stopping, release the trigger and allow the engine to return to idle speed. Then depress the switch
to stop the engine.
Starting a warm engine (engine has been stopped for no more than 15-20 minutes ago)
1. Move the choke to run-position with throttle at idle and pull the starter rope briskly.
2. If engine does not start, or starts and then stops after 5 rope pulls, follow procedure in chapter “Starting a
cold engine”.

Blower operation (Fig. 5)
- This blower is designed to easily remove debris from patios, walk-
ways, lawns, bushes and other hard to reach areas where debris
may accumulate.
WARNING: Because of flying debris, always wear approved
shielded safety glasses or face shield when operating the
blower.
- Before using the blower, review safety precautions and all regula-
tions for operation of the unit in this manual. These precautions and
regulations are for your protection.
WARNING: Hold the blower so that hot exhaust does not dam-
age clothing and is not inhaled by the operator.
- Do not operate the blower with other people or animals in the immediate vicinity. Allow a minimum of 9
meters between the operator and other people or animals.
- We recommend that a face mask be worn when operating the blower in dusty areas.
- Stand away from the debris at a distance that will easily allow you to control the direction of blown debris.
Never blow debris in the direction of bystanders.
- To control velocity of air stream, the blower can be operated at any speed between idle and full throttle.
Experience with the unit will help you determine the amount of airflow necessary for each application.
Vacuum operation
WARNING: NEVER OPERATE THE VACUUM WITHOUT THE COLLECTION BAG PROPERLY
ATTACHED AS FLYING DEBRIS COULD CAUSE INJURY TO THE OPERATOR AND
BYSTANDERS. ALWAYS MAKE SURE THE COLLECTION BAG ZIPPER IS CLOSED BEFORE
OPERATING THE UNIT.
- Do not vacuum ash from outdoor fireplaces, barbecue pits etc. unless cinders are cool. Do not vacuum
lighted smoking material such as discarded cigars or cigarettes.
- Do not operate the unit near open flame.
WARNING: This unit is designed to vacuum up debris such as leaves, small bits of paper, small twigs,
weeds, grass clippings etc. Do not use this unit for any other purpose.
- Do not attempt to vacuum rocks, broken glass, bottles, tin cans or other such objects. Damage to the im-
peller, unit as well as operator could result.
- If the vacuum tube is level with or above the power unit, rocks or large objects may be drawn into the tube,
damaging the impeller.
Operating the vacuum
1. Follow correct starting procedure as explained in this manual.
2. Allow the engine to return to idle. Put the shoulder harness on so that the strap is over your right shoulder.
The loop at the end of the collection bag is attached to the hook in the vacuum/blower tube.
WARNING: Do not allow the shoulder harness to cover, block or come in contact with the exhaust out-
let during operation. The muffler generates heat and could burn, melt or damage the harness strap.

3. Place your left hand on the front handle and right
hand on the rear handle as shown in figure 6.
4. Swing the unit from side to side to vacuum debris.
WARNING: To avoid clogging the vacuum tube,
DO NOT FORCE OR PLACE THE SUCTION
TUBE INTO A PILE OF DEBRIS.
Unclogging the vacuum tube
1. Turn the engine off. Promptly compress the collection bag while it is still inflated, expelling air out of the
suction tube.
This reverse airflow is usually sufficient to dislodge most obstructions. If the obstruction cannot be cleared by
compressing the collection bag, follow this procedure:
2. Remove and inspect the vacuum tubes.
3. Carefully clean out the nozzle.
4. Reinstall the vacuum tubes.
MAINTENANCE
Air filter
WARNING: Never operate the blower without the air filter, otherwise dust and dirt will be sucked into
the engine and damage it. Keep the air filter clean!
To clean the air filter
1. Remove 3 screws (A) holding the air filter
cover in place, remove the cover (B) and
lift the filter (C) from the air box. (Fig. 7A
and 7B)
2. Wash the filter with soap and water. DO
NOT USE GASOLINE!
3. Air dry filter.
4. Reinstall the air filter and air filter cover.
NOTE: Replace filter if frayed, torn, damaged or unable to be cleaned.
Fuel cap/fuel filter
WARNING: Open the fuel cap slowly to release any pressure which may have formed in the fuel tank.
Before starting this procedure, remove fuel from the unit and store in approved container.
1. Completely remove the fuel cap (A) from the fuel tank (B) to be able to remove the fuel filter (D) from the
tank. Use a piece of wire (C) with a hook formed at the end to pull the filter out of the tank. (Fig. 8A and
8B)
2. Pull the filter (D) off with a twisting motion.
3. Replace the fuel filter (D). (Fig. 8C)
NOTE: Never operate the blower without the fuel filter. Internal engine damage could result!
