Basic concepts of codication in MP3/WMA
Audio digital codication has meant a revolution in portable audio devices,
but in order to get maximum performance a computer is necessary. MP3 and
WMA les can be acquired by means of Internet or you can codify them yourself
directly from your Compact Discs.
Where are the batteries?
The LEOTEC player does not need batteries because it has a long-lasting Lithi-
um battery integrated inside. To recharge the battery, you should connect the
player by means of a mini USB/USB cable to the computer or to a transformer
(sold separately) ready for such purpose.

Use of the stylus pen
You can control the player by using the stylus pen and the touch screen. The
screen detects the type of pressing, that is, that pressing briey does not have
the same function as if pressure is maintained. Consult the sections dedicated to
each one of the buttons to have more information.

Micro SD Cards
The player’s memory can be extended by inserting a Micro SD memory card in
the slot that you can nd on the bottom of the unit (4).
Turning the player on and off
To turn the player on, rst slide Power (2) button to ON position, then the
button marked Hold (7) must be pressed for some seconds until it turns on. Once
turned on, to turn it off maintain the Hold (7) button pressed a few seconds.
Press this button briey to lock or unlock the player.
The player’s Menu
Once the player is on, the menu will appear on the Screen (1). This menu
allows you to choose the mode of operation, that is:

Note: To select the different functions touch ith the stylus pen over the
corresponding icon. Touch twice to enter the function.
MUSIC, VIDEO AND RECORDINGS
In the music or video play mode, you can play all MP3, WMA, WAV and AMV
les, that are found in the memory, as well as the recordings previously made.

On screen buttons
The screen shows different buttons while playing music and videos. These
buttons respond to touch.
1. A-B button
It allows to dene a section from the song to be played repeatedly.
2. Set Up button
Enters the set up menu directly while the music plays.
3. Browse button
Gets back to the main menu without stopping the music.
4. Back button
Gets back to previous menu without stopping the music.
7 and 9. Next and Previous buttons
Song change:
To change songs, you must press one of the buttons.
Advance or go back in the song:
If what you want is to go to a specic minute of the song that is being
played, you must maintain the button pressed.

Increase and reduce the volume.
8. Play / Pause button
FM RADIO
This mode allows you to listen to radio stations of FM frequencies.
To do a search going up the bank, you must press the Next button, or press the
Previous button to do the same by going down the band.
Select a station saved in its memory:
To enter the stations menu press the button.
Within this menu we can save presets or listen to previously saved
stations.
Radio recording
Press the button to record from the radio station.
PHOTO
When entering in the Photos menu, there appears the browser screen, where
we can choose the image we want to see.
Image visualization:
To visualize an image, just touch twice its name.

Next / Previous image:
Press the Next button or the Previous button from the screen.
To go back to the main menu, press button.
The Set up button allows to change the time interval between photos.
TEXT
This mode allows to read text les stored in the player or memory card.
Select the le you want to read in the browser screen and touch it twice to
open it.
To turn the pages press the buttons.
Bookmarks
To save and load bookmarks press button .
The next menu appears a list where you can save some bookmarks and select
them to load.
RECORD
This mode converts our player into a voice recorder. To begin recording, just
press .
If you press while the recording is occurring, it will go into pause. Once the
recording is in pause, you can continue recording by pressing Pause again.
By pressing the Stop button you stop and save the recording.

To listen to the recordings made, you must enter into the Browser mode and
then enter the folder where the recordings are stored.
EXPLORER
By means of the Explorer mode we can access any le or folder stored in the
player or into the memory card that has been inserted.
When entering this mode there appears a list with all the les and folders stored,
so we can select them with the stylus pen.
With the stylus pen we will go back through folders until we arrive to the main
menu again.
To delete a le:
- Select the le you want to delete
- Hold the button
- In the next screen, press OK to conrm
SETTINGS
This mode allows you to setup different options of your player.
Music:
- Repeat mode: allows to choose how to repeat the les played (one only
le, by folders, all the les, etc)
- Play mode: choose between order or shufe play.
- EQ select: select the equalization type.
- User EQ Set: allows to adjust the equalization manually.

Record:
- REC Quality: allows you to choose normal or high quality.
- REC Volume: adjusts the volume of the recording.
Display:
Allows you to adjust screen settings as the time it is backlighted, brightness,
and the backlight mode.
Auto Play Set:
Allows to adjust the time between images or pages when they are played
automatically.
System:
Allows you to change language, shows information about memory and
the player, and upgrades the rmware version.
Power Off Time:
Sets the time in which the player will turn itself off automatically if it is not
being used. The time is stated in minutes; in the case of selecting “OFF”
the player will not turn itself off if it is not being used.
Default Set:
Returns the player to its default conguration.

DRIVERS AND SOFTWARE
Drivers installation
It is not necessary to install drivers for the player as long as Windows 98, Second
Edition or superior, is used. In the event of being necessary, you will nd the
necessary controllers in the drivers folder of the CD.
Conversion of video les to AMV
The MP4 player plays videos in the AMV format; it is possible to perform the
conversion of any video le to this format. For this, the CD includes software that
is very easy to use. Once installed, open the “AMV convert Tool” program by
means of the Start Menu. Follow the steps indicated on the screen to perform the
conversion.
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Safety instructions
1. Read and understand all safety instructions carefully to avoid hurting
yourself or the device.
2. Avoid exposure of the device to extreme temperatures (above 55ºC or
below –5ºC).
3. Maintain the device away from humidity.

In any case, it must be born in mind that it is not permitted to sell these copies

Take precautions during the downloading of MP3 les from Internet. Take
into account that the les must have their licenses in order, that is, that you also
possess the rights to the songs.
Guarantee and responsibility
The manufacturer gives a guarantee for 24 months for the player and the
accessories provided. The guarantee includes the damage and defects related
to defective materials and imperfect preparation. The guarantee does not cover
the damage that can occur for incorrect or inadequate use, or for repairs of
changes in the apparatus made without the authorization of the manufacturer.
The manufacturer does not assume the responsibility for damage incurred due
to redundant prot.
