Installing Windows Collector

Before You Begin

EnsurethattheWindowsmachineonwhichtheCollectorisbeinginstalledmeetstheminimumrequirements

Deployment

To deploy Windows Collector on a Windows machine

1 DownloadtheVMwarevCenterADMWindowsCollectorexecutablefilefromVMwareWebsitetoyour

localWindowsmachine.

2Double‐clicktheexecutablefile.

TheInstallShieldWizardscreenappears.

3ClickNext.TheLicenseAgreementscreenappears.

4Readthelicense,selectIacceptthetermsofthelicenseagreement,andclickNext.

TheChoose

InstallationFolderscreenappears.

5Ifyouwanttochangethedefaultinstallationlocation,clickChangeandselectthepreferredinstallation

directory.

6ClickNext.TheHostInformationscreenappears.

7TypethefollowinginformationtoconfiguretheWindowsCollector:
