Introduction
Protect your data with a numerical codeARP's PIN Secure II USB Stick is easy-to-use and features high 256-
bit encryption. You can set a personal pin code with four to thirty numbers using the four buttons on the
stick. You can set numerical combinations, such as 223344 or 3421. Set the codes right on the stick using the
four buttons. PCs won't recognise the stick until the PIN code has been entered correctly, ensuring optimum
protection from unauthorised access. ARP's new PIN Secure II USB Stick features 256-bit encryption built
right into the hardware, so no software installation is necessary. This stick is ideal for transporting sensitive
data such as confidential presentations, reports, address information, photos, graphics, etc.

Set-up and Use
Choosing your password
The default PIN code at initial set-up is 1 2 3 4 . To change the PIN code, please connect the USB stick with
your computer (please note that you can only change the password on computers with Windows operating
systems).
Enter the PIN code
Once you've entered the code, the AutoPlay function will be run. Choose the option "Open folder to view
files".
If the AutoPlay function has been deactivated, you will have to open the folder manually using Windows
Explorer.

Now enter your current PIN code under Old password. The PIN code is initially set to 1, 2, 3, 4. You can view
your PIN code by selecting Show password .
Choose a new PIN code and enter it under New password. Confirm the code by entering it again under
Confirm new password.
The PIN code must have a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 30 numbers.
Select Use password and confirm the change by clicking OK.

Confirm your new PIN code by clicking Yes. You can now only use your USB stick with the new PIN code.
Solving Problems
Resetting your PIN
If you forget your PIN code, you can reset it to the default code. This causes all data stored on the USB stick
to be deleted.
Connect the USB stick to a computer. Press the 4 key twenty times in quick succession. The status LED will
flash repeatedly to confirm that your PIN code has been deleted.
Start the HWSecurity software to enter a new PIN code.
