licensedperson.AttemptingtoinstalltheOpenerwithout
suitabletechnicalqualificationmayresultinseverepersonal
injury,deathand/orpropertydamage.
OnlyinstalltheOpeneronawellfunctioning,properly
balanced
andalignedgaragedoor.Animproperlybalanced
ormalfunctioninggaragedoorcouldcauseseriousinjury.
Haveaqualifiedpersoncheckandifrequired,makerepairs
tothedoorbeforeinstallingtheOpener.Asageneralrulea
garagedoorisdeemedtobewellbalancedandalignedifit;

thegaragedoorand,B.ataminimumheightof1.5meters
abovethegroundsothatitremainsoutofthereachof
smallchildrenand,C.awayfromallmovingpartsofthe
door.
Affixtheentrapmentwarning
labelinaprominentposition
adjacenttothegaragedoor.
AfterinstallingandadjustingtheOpenerthedoormuststop
andreversedirectionwhenitcomesintocontactwitha
40mmhighsolidobjectplacedunderitonthefloor.
Thecorrectfunctionofthesafetyreversingsystemshould
becheckedonamonthlybasis.
Makesurethatthedoorreverseseasilywhenitmakes
contactwithanobstruction.
NeverusetheOpenerunlessthedoorisinfullviewand
freefromobjectssuchascars,childrenand/oradults.
Neverallowchildrentousethe
Opener.
NeverusetheOpenerwhenchildren/personsareunderor
nearthepathofthedoor.
Childrenmustbesupervisedatalltimeswhennearthedoor

Theproceduresoutlinedinthismanualrequireadegreeoftechnicalandmechanicalskill.TheOpener
shouldalwaysbeinstalledandadjustedbyatechnicallyqualifiedperson.Itisnotrecommendedtobe
installedbyahomehandyman.NeverinstalltheOpeneronapoorlyadjustedorworngaragedoor.
BeforecommencinginstallationoftheOpenercheckthatthegaragedoorisfunctioningcorrectly.Itmustbewellbalanced
andoperatesmoothlyandfreelyandnotbindorstickinthesidetracksnormakecontactwithanysupportingmembers.
Whenreleasedfromanypositionitshouldnotrise
orfallmorethan100mm.Theeffortrequiredtoopenorclosethedoorby
handshouldnotexceed150N(15kg).
Theminandmaxmountingpositions,asmeasuredfromtheedgeofthedoorcurtaintotheinneredgeofitsmounting
bracket,are40and50mm.(Fig.1)
Ifthedistanceislessthan40mmormorethan50mmthendoorbracketmustbemovedsoastofall
withintheboundsof
these2dimensions.

DeterminetowhichendofthedoortheOpenerwillbeinstalledandselectthedipswitchaccordingtothefollowing:

SelectthesideofthedoortowhichtheOpenerwillbefitted
Ensurethatthedoorbracket,towhichtheOpenerwillbeinstalled,isthecorrectdistancefromtheedgeofthecurtain.
Openthedoor
fullyandensurethatthedoorstoppershaveengagedwithtrackstoppers.
Placeapropunderthedoorasclosetotheedgeaspossibleandisadjustedsothatitsitsfirmlyunderthegaragedoor.(Fig.2)
CheckUboltonoppositesideofdoorandensure
thatitissecurelytightened.
Removethe(Openerside)Uboltfromthedoorbracketandthenremovethedoormountingbracketfromthewall.
OrienttheOpenersothatits2forkslineupwiththenarrowestofthegaragedoordrumwheelspokes.
Slidethe
Openerontothedooraxleandpushitfullyintothedoorsothatitsitsagainstthedrumwheel.(Fig.2)
Refitthedoormountingbrackettothewallmakingsuretotightenthemountingbracketscrewssecurely.(Fig.3)
InserttheUboltsuppliedthroughtheOpeneranddoor
bracketslotsandthensecurewiththenutsandwashersprovided.
Checkthemanualoperationofthedoorbyfullyraisingandloweringitseveraltimesandensureitrunssmoothlyanddoesnot
catchonanypartoftheOpener

Thedoorcurtainmustbesecuredtothedrumwheelwithselfdrillingscrewsatbothsidesofthedoor.
Withthedoorfullyclosed,markthecurtainatpoints“Aand“B”ensuringthatthefixingpointsareatleast90degapart.

Openthe
doorslightlysoastohaveaccesstothemarkedpositionsthensecurethecurtaintothedrumwheelasdepicted.
Ensurescrewsdonotinterferewiththerunningofthedoororoperator.

Securelyfixtheweightbartothetopedgeofthedoorrailwiththescrewsandnutsprovided.(Fig.5)
AttachtheEntrapmentWarningLabeltothewallinaprominentpositionadjacenttotheOpener.(Fig.5)
Connecttoaproperlyearthedpowersupplyusingthepowercordprovided.(Fig.5)
Important Note: Ensure that the power cord does not touch the moving door and that no excess cord hangs below the
Openerwhenitispluggedin.
