HOW TO IDENTIFY AV400COMPS
There are three different revisions of this product that have been manufactured by
CE Labs; the original AV400Comp, the AV400comp Rev D, and the AV400comp Rev F
and G. This document will explain the different versions, and how to identify them.
THE ORIGINAL AV400COMP (REV C)
The original AV400Comp was designed when component video was first
introduced on the market. It does NOT have the capability to pass current High
Definition formats. The bandwidth is only rated to 10 MHz, and has not been
manufactured by CE Labs in 5+ years.
KEY IDENTIFYING FEATURES – AV400COMP REV C
1. The power input voltage is: 15VDC 600mA
2. Nowhere on the unit is it stated that it is “HDTV COMPATIBLE”
3. The Green, Red and Blue inputs and outputs are noted as Y, CB and CR. The
current standard is Y, Pb and Pr, as on current units
4. The color of the connectors is green, blue then red from top to bottom
** This model of the AV400COMP is no longer in warranty **
THE AV400COMP REV D
The AV400Comp Rev D is the second generation of the AV400comp sold. It has
100 MHz of bandwidth and will pass all HDTV signals. However it has not been
manufactured by CE Labs in 4 years.
KEY IDENTIFYING FEATURES – AV400COMP REV D
1. On the lower middle section is the “Rev D” mark (main identifier)
2. The color of the connectors is green, blue then red from top to bottom
3. “HDTV Compatible” noted on the top middle of the unit.
4. The connectors are identified as Y, Pb, and Pr
5. Power input is: 9VAC 500mA
** This model of the AV400COMP is no longer in warranty **
THE AV400COMP REV F (CURRENT MODEL)
The current model of the AV400Comp is the Rev F. It is still in production by CE
Labs and still carries our full warranty.
KEY IDENTIFYING FEATURES – AV400COMP REV F
1. It is identified as “Rev F” on the lower middle section (main identifier)
2. The connectors are arranged Red, Blue, Green from top to bottom
3. It is “HDTV Compatible.
4. I The connectors are identified as Y, Pb, and Pr
5. Power input is: 9VAC 500mA.
** These are the only 2 revisions that are still considered in warranty **
