ASSEMgLING PRESSUREWASHER
Your Craftsmanpressure washer will needassembly before
operation:
1, Fill out and sendin registration card.
2. Attach handle and accessorytray.
3, Connectdetergent siphon hoseto pump.
4, Add oil to engine crankcase.
5, Add fuel to fueltank.
6, Connectpressure hoseto spray gun and pump.
7, Connectwater supplyto pump.
8, Attach nozzleextensionto spray gun.
9, Select/attachquick connect spray tip to nozzleextension.
Attach Handle and Accessery Tray
1, Placehandle(A) onto handle supports connectedto
main unit, Make sure hobs in handlealign with hobs on
handlesupports,
2. insert handle carriagebolts (B) through hobs from
inside of unit and attach a plastic knob (C)from outside
of unit. Tighten by hand.
NOTICE Byloosening both knobs to the middle section of
the attachmentbolt, the upper handle canfold forward to
store fiat atop the cold engine. DONOTfold the handledown
while the engine is hot.
3, insert rubber straps (t}) through slots (E) in back of
accessorytray and pull tight from front.
4. Placeaccessorytray (A) over hobs (B) on handle
(viewing from front of unit). Pushthe tree clips (C) into
the hobs until they sit fiat against the accessorytray.

5. insert multi-colored quick connectspray tips and other
supplied accessoriesin spacesprovided in accessory
tray. See How to UseAccessory Tray.
6. Attach bottle bracket(g) to handlewith carriagebolt (E)
and black plastic knob (F). Tighten by hand.

Attachthe tube end of the blue PerfectMixTM Siphon (G) to
the barbedtube fitting (H) on the pump:

PlacePerfectMWMbottle (not included) in the wire-form
bracketon the handb. Removecap from bottb and insert the
PerfectMWMSiphon (J). Screw the siphon unit to the top of
the bottb (K). Usethe dip on the cap (J) to snap siphon to
wire form bracketwhen siphon is not in a concentrate bottb.

2. Cleanareaaround oil fill and remove oil fill cap/dipstick.

1. Use clean,fresh, regular unleadedfuel with a minimum
of 86 octane with equipment. DONOTmix oil with fuel.
2. Placepressure washer on a levelsurface. Cleanarea
around fuel fill cap, remove cap.
3. Slowly add regular unleadedfuel to bottom of fuel level
limit in neck of fuel tank. Becareful not to overfill.

4. Install fuel cap andallow any spilled fuel to evaporate
beforestarting engine.
CAUT{0N! Alcohol-blended fuels (calledgasohol, ethanol or
methanol) canattract moisture, which leadsto separation and
formation of acids during storage.Acidic gascandamagethe
fuel system of an enginewhile in storage.
To avoid engine problems, the fuel system should be emptied
beforestorage of 30 days or longer. Drainthe fuel tank, start
the engineand let it run until the fuel lines and carburetor are
empty. Usefresh fuel next season.See Storagefor additional
information.
NEVERuse engine or carburetor cleaner products in the fuel
tank as permanent damagemay occur.
Lubricate OoRings
Lubrication of o-rings is extremely important for installation
and operation. The useof a lubricant (petroleum or synthetic
grease)during assembly helps seat o-rings properly and
provides an improved seal. it alsohelps protect the o-ring
from damageby abrasion, pinching or cutting and extends
the life of the o-ring.
NOTICE ALWAYSapply a small amount of lubricant on
o-rings prior to assemblingthe garden hoseto the pump (A),
high pressurehose (B),spray gun (C), and nozzle
extension(D).
Lubricateaii connections shown bemow,fommowingthese
instructiofls:
1. inspect and clean connecting surfaces prior to
lubrication and assembly.
2. Uselubricants sparingly during assembly;a light film is
all that is required.
3. Usea small brush or cotton swab to applygrease
directly to o-rings wherethey are not accessible (QC
fitting, M22 fitting).
ConnectHose and Water Supply to Pump
NOTICE DONOTrun the pump without the water supply
connectedand turned on.
, Damagetoequipmentresultingfrom failuretofollowthis
instructionwillvoidwarranty.
4. Runwater through gardenhosefor 30 secondsto flush
it of debris. Turn off water.
NOTICE DONOTsiphon standing water for the water
supply. Use ONLYcold water (less than 100%).
5. Connectgarden hose(not to exceed50 feet in length)to
water inlet. Tighten by hand.
NOTICE Removeand discard the shipping caps from the
pump's high pressure outlet and water inlet before attaching
hoses.
1. Uncoil high pressure hose and attachone end of hoseto
baseof spray gun, Tighten by hand.

Changedi whileengineis still warm from running,as
fallows:
1, Drain fuel tank by running pressure washer until fuel
tank is empty.
2, Disconnect spark plug wire and keepit away from spark
plug.
3. Cleanarea around oil fill, removeoil fill cap/dipstick.
Wipe dipstick dean.
4. Tipyour pressurewasher toward the oil fill neck to drain
oil into a suitable container. When crankcaseis empty,
return pressure washerto upright position.
5. Slowly pour recommendedoil (approximatdy 18 oz,)
into oil fill opening. Pauseto permit oil to settle. Fillto
upper limit mark on dipstick.
6. Replaceand tighten dipstick.
7. Wipe up any remainingoil.
8. Reconnectspark plug wire to spark plug.
Service Air Cleaner
Your enginewill not run properly and may bedamaged if you
run it with a dirty air cleaner.Service more often if operating
under dirty or dusty conditions. Replacementsare available
at your local Searsservicecenter.
Teservice the air cleaner, feiiew these steps:
1. Press latch tabs (A) on top of air cleaner cover (B), and
remove cover.
2. Carefullyremove air cleaner(C)from base(B).
3. Cleanair cleanerby tapping it severaltimes on a hard
surfaceto remove dirt, or blow compressed air (not to
exceed30 psi) through air cleanerfrom clean sidethat
faces engine.
NOT/CE NEVERtry to brush off dirt. Brushingwill force dirt
into the fibers.
4. Wipe dirt from air cleanerbody and cover using a moist
rag. Becareful to prevent dirt from entering air duct (E)
that leadsto the carburetor.
5. Install clean (or new) air cleanerin base.Air cleaner
must fit securely in base.
6. Reinstallair cleanercover.

Service Spark PJug
Changingthe spark plug will help your engineto start easier
and run better.
1. Disconnectthe capfrom the spark plug and cleanarea
around spark plug.
2. Removeand inspect spark plug.
3. Replacespark plug if electrodesareworn, or if insulator
is crackedor chipped.
4. Forreplacement, use recommendedspark plug, NGK
BPR6ES.
5: Checkelectrode gap with wire feelergauge and set gap
at 0.020-0.031 inches 0.70-0.80 mm), if necessary.
6A. When reinstalling original spark plug, tighten 1/8-1/4
turn after the spark plug seatsto compress the washer.
6B. When installing newspark plug, tighten 1/2 turn after
the spark plug seatsto compress the washer.
7. Attach the spark plug capto the spark plug.
