AN ELECTRONIC PROGRAMMER, READ THIS MAN-
UAL. INCORRECT USE CAN RESULT IN SERIOUS IN-
JURIES OR DAMAGE TO THE MACHINE. IGNORING
INSTRUCTIONS CAN CAUSE INCORRECT MACHINE
FUNCTION, WHICH MAY RESULT IN INJURIES OR
MACHINE AND/OR LINEN DAMAGES.

This English version is the original version of this manual.
Without this version, the instructions are incomplete. Before
installation, operating and maintenance of the machine, read
complete instructions thoroughly. Refer to the Installation/
Operation/Maintenance manual for further important instruc-
tions, as well. Follow these and keep the manuals accessible
for later use.
A machine must be installed by following the Installation/
Operation/Maintenance manual. Before the first machine
start, it must be initialized and tested by a qualified techni-
cian.
The electric service line must not be affected by other electri-
cal loading. A nominal voltage, if loaded or not must work in
the range ±10% with a maximum permanent frequency devia-
tion of 1% or a short-time one at 2% of a given frequency.
NOTE: Connecting or starting the machine at an in-
correct voltage can damage the programmer.
The machine must not be exposed to high humidity or ex-
treme high and low temperatures.
Do not tamper with the controls.
INSTRUCTIONS IN THIS MANUAL DO NOT COVER
ALL DANGEROUS SITUATIONS. IT IS UP TO THE USER
TO HANDLE THE MACHINE CAREFULLY.
The manufacturer has the right to change specifications in this
manual without prior notice. All the stated information is only
for informative purpose and must be considered as general. It
is not possible to present all the specific data of the device.
NOTE: Every circuit board has a serial number and
Board Code. Refer to Programmer Circuit Boards. The
model and serial number of the machine must be men-
tioned in all correspondence or inquiries addressed to
the distributor and/or manufacturer.
NOTE: The programmer uses "machine type" codes to
select the different programmable machine executions.
The model number on the machine doesn't indicate the
"machine type" but must be linked with the description
of the "machine type" letters.

System Menu
General
In order to facilitate the machine configuration and diagnos-
tics, the control software provides a menu system with config-
uration and diagnostic items.
Accessing Menus
NOTE: OPL Operated Machines: The menus are acces-
sible only when the machine is cooled-down to a safe
temperature and not operating.
NOTE: COIN Operated Machines: The menus are ac-
cessible only when the machine is cooled-down to a
safe temperature, not operating and without pre-paid
time.
NOTE: To enter the menus, use the following key se-
quence:
1. Press and hold the FUNCTION key.
2. Press and immediately release the STOP key.
3. Release the FUNCTION key (soon after the STOP key has
been released).
NOTE: The same key sequence is used to display the
Diagnostics screen when the machine is operating. Re-
fer to chapter General.
Navigation Menu
Use the “ UP ” and “ DOWN” keys to navigate in the menu.
These keys are used to select the preceding or following item
in the menu. The selected menu item is displayed in inverse
colours and an arrow symbol (fully coloured) is shown to the
left of the item, pointing to it. In case that the arrow is fully
coloured, the item can be activated by pressing the FUNC-
TION key. In case that just an outline of the arrow symbol is
shown, the selected item is only of informative nature and it is
not possible to activate it. Refer to Figure 1 .

Item Activation
If a symbol of three dots follows an item title, there is a sub-
menu available. This sub-menu opens as soon as you activate
the item. The symbol of three dots is also used to indicate ac-
tions; the execution of which must be confirmed. Other items'
values can be changed after they have been activated. This is
indicated by a flashing angular arrow symbol displayed to the
left of the particular item. Refer to Figure 2 .

List-type items (refer to Figure 2 )
Most modifiable items are of a list type. To change the value
of such activated item, use the “ UP ” and “ DOWN ” keys. If
you hold the key, the value will change faster.
To select an item value, press the FUNCTION key. This can-
cels the item's activation state and the selected value is as-
signed to it.
Number-type items (refer to Figure 3 )
To change values of items which consist of many digits (such
as access code, time, date etc.), enter the new value one digit
at a time.
When you select such item, an underscore symbol starts flash-
ing underneath the rightmost digit. This digit can now be
modified. The value of this digit can be increased by pressing
the FUNCTION key. When the value is "9" and you press the
FUNCTION key, the value changes to "0".
The “ UP ” and “ DOWN ” keys serve the purpose of moving
to the next or previous digit.
When all digits of the required value have been set, press the
START key, which finishes the item activation and assigns it
the entered value.

Item Value Change Confirmation
Certain vital menu items must be confirmed before their value
is changed. Refer to Figure 4 .

To confirm, activate the item in question by pressing the
FUNCTION key. Then press “ Yes ” for confirmation of the
required action. You can also select “ No ” to cancel the con-
firmation. Press the FUNCTION key again to close the con-
firmation dialogue. The required action or change is executed
as confirmed.
Exiting the Menu
To exit a menu or sub-menu, always use the last item of the
menu - the EXIT key. Refer to Figure 5 .

If you activate this item, the previously displayed higher-up
menu is shown. In case that this item is activated in the main
menu, the original operating screen is displayed.
In order to quickly exit the current menu and move one level
higher, use the STOP button.
Confirmation of Carried-Out Changes
In case changes have been selected (in the configuration
items) which must be saved before the menu can be exited, an
inquiry is displayed which asks if you want to save these
changes. The changes will not be saved unless you select op-
tion “Yes”. Selecting "no" will restore original values of con-
figuration items. Refer to Figure 6 .

Overview of Menus
When you enter the menus, the following main menu selec-
tions are displayed:
CONFIG – Configuration menu (items are password pro-
tected)
INSTALL – Installation menu
SERVICE – Service and Diagnostic menu
Config - Configuration Menu
The configuration menu is password protected. The default
password is "321".
Machine
Machine Type Configuration; list-type menu with the follow-
ing possible values:
I80 (default value) – machine with cylinder diameter
807mm
I80R – machine with cylinder diameter 807mm with
front / rear delivery
I80F – machine with cylinder diameter 807mm with
length folding
I80FCS - machine with cylinder diameter 807mm and
with a lengthwise and crosswise folding device
I50 – machine with cylinder diameter 502mm
IR50 - machine with cylinder diameter 502mm with
front / rear delivery
IF50 - machine with cylinder diameter 502 mm with
lenght folding
I33 – machine with cylinder diameter 320mm
To carry out a machine-type change, a confirmation is re-
quired. The confirmation changes the machine type, as well as
certain configuration items. They are changed to correspond
to the default values of the particular selected machine. In or-
der to ensure correct function of the machine, the item values
must be verified and reset (if necessary), so that their values
correspond to the real machine type. It applies to the follow-
ing items:

Width
Machine Inserting Width Configuration; list-type item with
the following possible values:
320mm Machines:
160 mm (default value)
200 mm
502mm Machines:
160 mm (default value)
200 mm
250 mm
320 mm
NOTE: This item is only displayed for 320mm and
502mm machines.
ResDef...
After the confirmation, the main configuration items are
changed to the default values. This will only happen if the fol-
lowing instances apply:
Machine configuration has not been performed.
The configuration has not been saved correctly.
The number of configuration items has changed (due to a
software update).
The previous configuration is therefore invalid for the new
software version (error 35 is generated).
If none of the above situations occurred (i.e. if the configura-
tion items have been set in a correct manner) this item is not
displayed at all. Once this item is selected and confirmed, the
default type of machine is set up which does not have to cor-
respond with the physical machine type any longer.
It is then necessary to perform complete machine configura-
tion (select all configuration items) so that they correspond to
the actual type of machine.
Heating
Heating Type Configuration; list-type item with the following
possible values:
Ele (default value) - Electric heating
Gas - Gas heating
Steam - Steam heating
Thyst
Heating type configuration, list-type item with the following
values:

Here you can set the thermal hysteresis (value is in degrees
centigrade (°F [°C] )). This value is used for the system of au-
tomatic ironing stop (in the automatic cool-down mode); it
sets the temperature drop under the ironing cylinder tempera-
ture (176°F [80°C] ) at which the machine stops operating.
• Explanation:
If the Thyst value is set to 4 (for example), then, with the
system of automatic ironing stop activated (machine
switches into cool-down mode), the machine stops operat-
ing at the temperature of 169°F [76°C] .

It may happen, that when the machine is stopped at this
temperature, the machine temperature then temporarily
reaches a value higher than 176°F [80°C] , which subse-
quently leads to the "overheated ironing cylinder error"
being displayed (if the machine is not operating). Refer to
Description of Error Messages (Error 3).
If this is the case, it is necessary to increase the Thyst pa-
rameter, so that such error is avoided.
Type
Machine Control Type Configuration; list-type item with the
following possible values:
OPL (default value) - On-premise laundry
Coin – for coin versions of 320mm and 502mm diameter
machines.
Pedal
Pedal Function Configuration; list-type item with the follow-
ing possible values:
No (default value); the machine is not equipped with a
pedal and its function will be disabled.
Yes; – the machine is equipped with a pedal and its func-
tion will be enabled. For more information on the pedal
function, refer to the Installation/Operation/Maintenance
manual.
NOTE: This item is displayed for 320mm and 502mm
machines only without length folding.
InpExt
Configuration of auxiliary device type; list-type item with the
following possible values:
None (default value) – the machine is not equipped with
a pedal and its function will be disabled.
Pedal – the machine is equipped with a pedal and its func-
tion will be enabled. For more information on the pedal
function, refer to the Installation/Operation/Maintenance
manual
Feeder – the machine is equipped with a feeder (a device
for automatic linen feeding) and its function will be ena-
bled. For more information on this function, refer to the
Installation/Operation/Maintenance manual - available on-
ly on machines with cylinder 807mm.
NOTE: This item is displayed for machines with cylin-
der width 807mm only and for machine with cylinder
502mm with length folding. - Models Starting Serial no.

I80FCS machines, the Feeder option is pre-set as the

For 320mm machines, only the first default value of program
1 applies, because with this type of machine, the program
number cannot be changed and it is set to number 1 by de-
fault. This means that the speed is set to the value of 3 and
temperature to 32°F [0°C] by default.
For all machine types, it is possible to set and save different
values for each program (for 320mm diameter machines this
is only valid for Program 1). These will then remain saved in
the memory. If this function is later selected again, the values
are changed to these default values, and all the values
changed and saved by the user are rewritten by these default
values.
ClDeliv
Parameter for displaying the selection of direction of the linen
output from the machine (applies to I50F machines). It is a
list-type item with the following values:
• Yes
• No
When "No" is selected, the linen comes out from the front output
by default, the screen for selecting the direction of the linen out-
put from the machine is not shown which means that the direc-
tion cannot be changed in this case.To display sub-menu with

Configuration of function allowing a gradual decrease of the
fold length. It is a list-type item with the values in the range:

The output table distance is set up in mm. It influences the
alignment of the front section of linen with the subsequent
folds.
Bal60Hz
Rectification configuration for timing of fold-edge ironing
cylinders at 60Hz power supply frequency. It is a list type
item with the following values:
On, Off
The default value is Off
If you switch this rectification On, the timing of fold-edge
ironing cylinders of type I80 machines (807mm) with 60Hz
power supply frequency is automatically rectified.
CrsFold…
To display sub-menu with crosswise folding configuration op-
tions. Available for machines equipped with both lengthwise
and crosswise folding devices only.
Velocit
Configuration of internal belts of the crosswise folding de-
vice. It is a list-type item with values in the range:
10 - 99
Default value: 51
This value should not be changed. Incorrect value leads to in-
accurate crosswise folding.
AskewVI
Configuration of detection time of linen entering the device
askew. It is a list-type item with values in the range:
1 – 10 [0.1 sec]
Default value: 3
If the linen enters the crosswise folding device askew, it will
not be folded. Instead, it will be transported behind the cross-
wise folding device. This undesirable situation (linen that en-
ters askew) is detected by measuring and comparing the time
difference between the moment the linen enters the crosswise
folding device on the right side and on the left side. If this
time difference is larger than the set value, the crosswise fold-
ing of the item will not occur.
LenCorr
Configuration of the correction of length measurement carried
out by the crosswise folding device. It is a list-type item with
values in the range:
1 - 100
Default value: 76
This parameter is used for measuring the length of linen in the
crosswise folding device. It is not advisable to change it. In-
correct value leads to inaccurate crosswise folding.
Fold2of3
Configuration of the distance at which the second crosswise
fold is performed. It is a list-type item with values in the
range:
1 - 199
Default value: 98
Machines with power supply of 60Hz frequency: use
value 82
This parameter determines the moment at which the 2nd
crosswise fold is performed when linen is folded in 3 places.
The larger the value, the later the fold will be performed and
vice versa.
This parameter can be used for setting the 2nd fold for the
most frequently used linen type exactly in the middle.
Change of this parameter does not influence the French type
fold because it is carried out in one third of the linen's length,
not in the middle.
When folding to two crosswise folds, the configuration of the
2nd crosswise fold is carried out by another parameter - see
below.
Fold3
Configuration of the distance at which the third crosswise fold
is performed. It is a list-type item with the values in the range:
0 - 99
Default value: 21
Machines with power supply of 60Hz frequency: use
value 14
This parameter defines the moment at which the 3rd cross-
wise fold is performed. The larger the value, the later the fold
will be performed and vice versa.

This parameter can be used for setting the 3rd fold for the
most frequently used linen type exactly in the middle.
Fold2of2
Configuration of the distance at which the second crosswise
fold is performed (when folding to 2 folds). It is a list-type
item with values in the range:
1 - 99
Default value: 36
Machines with power supply of 60Hz frequency: use
value 29
This parameter determines the moment at which the 2nd
crosswise fold is performed in case that the linen is folded in
2 places only.
This parameter does not influence folding to 3 folds.
ConvTim
Configuration of time for which the stacking device conveyor
is in operation. The values are in the range:
1 – 99 [0.1 sec]
Default value: 78
Machines with power supply of 60Hz frequency: use
value 65
Set the time for which the output conveyor of the stacking de-
vice is in operation to a value which assures that the transport-
ed pack of linen stops at the place where the sensor is located.
The sensor then activates an acoustic signal.
This parameter also influences the number of individual
stacks which are on the output conveyor at the same time: the
longer the time, the fewer stacks and vice versa.
Toffs L
Configuration of the left temperature sensor temperature cor-
rection value; list-type item in °F [°C] with values:
-5, -4, -3, -2, -1, 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5
Default value: 0
This correction value is added to the value obtained from the
temperature sensor.
Toffs M
Configuration of the main (central) temperature sensor tem-
perature correction value; list-type item in °F [°C] with val-
ues:
-5, -4, -3, -2, -1, 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5
Default value: 0
This correction value is added to the value obtained from the
temperature sensor.
Toffs R
Configuration of the right temperature sensor temperature
correction value; list-type item in °F [°C] with values:

OCShyst
Permitted OCS hysteresis configuration. Values in °F [°C] lie
within the range of:
0 - 30
Initial value: 0
OCS (OVERHEATING CHECK SYSTEM) prevents ironing
cylinder edge overheating by turning off the heating if the
temperature of an ironing cylinder edge rises above the re-
quired ironing temperature. (refer to USER MANUAL / sup-
plement chapter OCS SYSTEM)
OCS hysteresis allows for increasing this limit temperature of
heating shutdown by the configured value.
The resulting maximum limit temperature of heating shut-
down is software-limited to 374°F [190°C] .
NROperH
Information item showing the number of machine operating
hours. This value cannot be reset to zero.

machine heating was active. This value cannot be reset to

NRStmCy
Information item showing the number of steam heating work-
ing cycles. This value cannot be reset to zero. The item is dis-
played only in case that the machine is configured for steam
heating.
PRICE
A menu for setting-up the coin versions of the machine
(320mm or 502mm diameter machines) with number-type
items:
COIN 1 – setting the time value corresponding to coin 1.
COIN 2 – setting the time value corresponding to coin 2.
CoinStar – setting the required minimum prepaid time so
that the machine can start operation

This item is displayed only after the selection of COIN ma-
chine type has been made.
TEM&SPE
Menu for setting the ironing temperature and speed for coin
versions of the machine (320 or 502mm diameter models)
with items:
Temp – setting the ironing temperature within the range
<0 to180>. It is a numeric value.
Speed – setting the ironing speed within the range <1 to
6> in 0.5 increments. It is a list-type value.

This item is displayed only after the selection of COIN ma-

LCD
Display contrast configuration; list-type item with the follow-
ing possible values:

SensoSp
Enabling or disabling the function of automatic ironing speed
regulation, in relation to the main regulating temperature
(called Senso Speed).
SSCode : This menu is password protected. If you need
this password, contact the machine manufacturer. Enter
and confirm the password in a similar manner as when ac-
cessing the Configuration menu. Once the password is en-
tered and confirmed, two items are displayed:
SensoSp : The Senso Speed function configuration. It is a
list-type item with the following values: Yes – ON, No –
OFF

UNITS
To display a sub-menu which enables you to select the type of
displayed units of measurement in all screens in which such units
appear.
Temp: An item which enables you to specify in which units
temperature will be displayed. It is a list type item with the

speed will be displayed. It is a list type item with the follow-

output which switches the frequency inverter power supply.
If you set the value to On, the output is switched on and the
frequency inverter is connected to power supply. If you set the
value to Off, the output is open and the inverter power supply
is disconnected.
This item is used for manual starting of the frequency inverter
for diagnostic purposes or for its manual setting.
ExtMOn
Switches on the external supply of I/O modules and sets them
up for diagnostic purposes (of their inputs and outputs).
NOTE: This item is only displayed on machines equip-
ped with lengthwise folding device, feeding device or
crosswise folding device.
ExtMOn
Switches off the external supply of I/O modules for diagnostic
purposes (of their inputs and outputs).
NOTE: This item is only displayed on machines equip-
ped with lengthwise folding device, feeding device or
crosswise folding device, in case that the external I/O
modules are operational.
Dg Out…
To display sub-menu with a list of all functional control board
outputs, with the exception of the frequency inverter power-
supply output.
The individual items are used to verify correct function of the
control board functional outputs.
In order to switch the desired output on, press the FUNC-
TION key (which opens the editing mode), then use the

UP ” and “ DOWN ” keys to set the value of the selected
output to On.
For security reasons, the selected output is switched on only
in the edit mode of the selected item value. After this mode is
exited (by pressing the FUNCTION key) the value of the
item is automatically reset to Off and the output is switched
off.
For security reasons, the time period for which the selected
output may be switched on is limited to 1 minute. In case that
the output is not switched off by changing the item value to
Off or by exiting the edit mode of the item (by pressing the
FUNCTION key), the value of the item is automatically
changed to Off, and the output in question switched off. This
occurs 1 minute after the item value is changed to On.
Access to this sub-menu is password protected. If you need
this password, contact the machine manufacturer.
For information on designation of the I/O module outputs (for
diagnostic purposes) refer to the Table 3 .
RTC…
To display screen with time and date values (in the dd/mm/
yyyy format) based on the internal real time clock (RTC).
To return back to menu, press any of the following keys:
FUNCTION, UP, DOWN or STOP. Refer to Figure 12 .
