Gently swing the module toward the carrier,
then Push the module into the carrier until
it locks into place.

Label modules following the instructions in the section below titled
“Labeling Jacks on Modules.”
If the rightmost slot in the carrier does not contain a module, insert
the empty module (provided with the basic carrier assembly) in this
slot to support the top cover.
Follow the procedure below for turning the power on at the Power
Module(s).
CAUTION: The modules in these slots are interchangeable during
installation only. Once your system’s power is turned on,
modules that are removed must be replaced with the same type
of module. Removing a module and replacing it with a different
type of module may require readministration of your entire sys-
tem.
If your system has an expansion carrier, first turn On the power
switch on its Power Module. Then turn On the power switch on
the basic carrier’s Power Module.
If your system only has a basic carrier, turn On the power switch
on its Power Module.
