Operate the hand blower at reasonable hours only - not early in the morning or late at night or when people might be
disturbed. Check with your local council for operation times.
Do not operate the hand blower indoors or in confined spaces.
While the hand blower is running, always keep hands and feet away from the impeller fan.
(Keep away from any bystanders or animals when in use.)

Safety Instructions
SAFETY & HANDLING
Do not operate the Hand Blower before reading all Instructions & reading all
Safety & Handling sections.
Operator Safety
Wear the necessary safety equipment, as listed on page (6), in the Personal Safety Equipment Section.
Always wear heavy, long pants. Do not wear loose clothing, jewellery, short pants, sandals or go barefoot. Secure hair
so it is above shoulder length.
Do not operate the unit if you are tired, ill or under the influence of alcohol, drugs or medication.
Unit Safety
The product is intended for garden maintenance.
Inspect the entire unit before each use.
Ensure that the protective covers are properly attached.
Do not use the unit if it is running erratically. Have it serviced promptly.
Keep handles free of oil and fuel.
Learn how to stop the engine quickly in an emergency.
Stop the engine when the unit is unattended. Never leave engine running while unattended.
Never allow children or unauthorised persons to operate the unit.
Do not leave the unit on dry cuttings when it is Hot, as a risk of fire is present. Do not cover muffler or restrict airflow to
muffler.
Fuel Safety
Use a container approved for fuel and a funnel to avoid spillage.
Pour fuel outdoors where there are no sparks or flames.
Frequently check for fuel leaks.
Do not smoke or allow smoking near fuel, or near the unit, or while using the unit.
Add fuel before starting the unit.
Never remove the fuel tank cap while the engine is running or hot, allow to cool before refuelling.
Never allow the unit to run out of fuel before refuelling.

Fuel Safety Continued
Move at least 3 metres away from the fuelling site before starting the engine.
Wipe all traces of fuel on the unit before starting the engine.
Change your clothes before starting the unit if fuel has been spilt on them.
Starting Safety
Start the engine with no loose clothing, hair, etc around the impellar.
Ensure that the area of starting is safe.
Use only in good visibility and favourable weather conditions.
Keep children, animals and bystanders outside the 15 metre hazard zone. Stop the engine immediately if approached.
Keep the engine to the left of your body.
Keep a firm footing and balance. Do not over reach.
Keep your body away from the muffler when the unit is running.
Do not strike or vacuum objects that may cause harm or damage to the unit.
Maintenance Safety
Stop the engine and disconnect the spark plug before clearing blockages, checking or working on the unit. Clean
carbon from the muffler at exhaust outlet frequently.
Stop the engine, disconnect the spark plug and inspect the unit if it begins to vibrate abnormally.
Keep all nuts, bolts and screws tight to be sure the equipment is in safe working condition.
Use only genuine replacement parts.

Transporting and Storage
Hand carry the unit with the engine stopped and the muffler away from your body.
Allow the engine to cool, empty the fuel tank and secure the unit before storing or transporting in a vehicle.
Empty the fuel tank after each use and before storing the unit.
Store the unit and fuel well away from sparks or open flames from water heaters, electric motors, switches or furnaces,
etc.
Store the unit out of reach of children and unauthorised persons.
Hazards
The following safety precautions must be strictly observed to avoid the risk of damage or personal injury.
Prior to using the unit, clear the operating area of objects which may be thrown up by
the cutting head, such as rocks, glass and other debris.
Do not start or operate the unit inside a closed room or building.
Breathing exhaust fumes can kill.
Be careful when operating the unit on slippery ground or overgrown terrain. Be
attentive for concealed hazards, such as ditches, tree stumps and roots.
Maintain solid footing and balance while operating the unit.
Never use the unit without the air tubes securely in place.
Do not touch the impeller when the engine is running.
Bystanders must be at least 15 metres away during operation of the unit, as rocks and
other materials may be thrown at high velocities. Switch the unit off immediately if
approached.
Keep body away from hot muffler parts.
Personal Safety Equipment
Always use the following safety equipment when working with your blower:
A safety helmet fitted with a visor or suitable eye protection.
A set of ear muffs.
A pair of protective gloves.
A pair of safety boots.

ASSEMBLY PROCEDURES
Important
Blower tube installation affects both blower balance and performance. The tube and nozzle are correctly installed when the
label “This side up” is visible to the operation.
Warning
Danger from rotating impeller! Stop the engine before installing or removing the blower tubes. Never perform any
maintenance or assembly procedures on this machine while the engine is running.
When Blowing
1. Place the blower upright on the ground or on a sturdy work surface.
2. Push the nozzle tube over the straight tube lining up the locking pins. (See Fig. 1).

3. Rotate the nozzle tube clockwise locking it into place. (See Fig. 2)
4. Remove the tube locking screw. (See Fig. 3._
5. Push the assembled blower tube over the discharge port and locking pin.
6. Rotate the tube clockwise to lock it into position. (See Fig. 4).
7. Retighten the locking screw.
When Vacuuming
1. Unscrew locking wing-nut and store safely until closing the inlet grill. (See Fig. 5).
2. Rotate the two vacuum tubes together then open grill and attach onto machine.Rotate tube clockwise into locking
position (See Fig. 6).
3. Open zupper and pass narrow end of exhale tube through hole at opposite end. Pull narrow end of tube out of hole until
it is held firmly in place at wider end. (See Fig. 7).
4. Attach exhale tube to the machine and twist in place then tighten the securing screw. (See Fig. 8).

Important
Use good quality 4-stroke engine oil.
Use fresh unleaded petrol. Keep fuel out of the reach of children.
Filling the fuel tank
Warning:Always shut off the engine before fuelling. Never add fuel to a
machine with a running or hot engine. Move at least 9m away from the
re-fuelling site before starting engine. Do not smoke when re-fuelling or
operating the blower.
Warning
Use pure fueldo not use fuel that is more than 2-3 months old.
Empty the tank during longer breaks and fill it up again as soon as you
wish to use the blower again.
Note. It is normal for smoke to be emitted frim a new engine during and
after first use.

Fuel
Filling The Fuel Tank
Warning
Always shut off the engine before fuelling. Never add fuel to a machine with a running or hot engine. Move at least 3m
away from the re-fuelling site before starting engine. Do not smoke when re-fuelling or operating the blower.
Use pure fuell, do not use fuel that is more than 2-3 months old. Empty the tank during longer breaks and fill it up again
as soon as you wish to use the blower again.
Note
It is normal for smoke to be emitted frim a new engine during and after first use.
1. Place the blower upright on the ground or on a sturdy bench and wipe any debris from around the fuel cap.
2. Unscrew the fuel tank cap (See Fig. 9) and pour the fuel into the tank (See Fig. 10). Be careful not to spill any fuel. If
this happens,wipe the spill with a clean rag.
Check and replenishiment of the engine oil
Caution
To avoid damage of the engine before starting you should check if the engine oil is sufficient or needs to be replaced.
Replace engine oil every 10 hours of operation or more frequently when used in dry and dusty environments.
Put the blower on flat, even ground, remove the dipstick and check the engine oil level (Fig.1 & Fig.2).
Add the oil up to the high level mark if it is insufficient.
If the oil is dirty, it needs to be replaced with 10W - 40 engine oil.

Warning
The engine oil should be classification API, class SAE 10W-40 in -15°C ~ 40°C.The oil viscosity is shown in Fig. 13.
4. Start the engine at least three metres away from the area where the fuel tank has been filled up in order to avoid any
risk of fire.
Danger of fire and burn injuries.
Always use extreme care when handling fuel! Fuel is highly flammable.
Never attempt to fuel the blower if the fuel system components are damaged or are leaking.
Never attempt to refuel the engine while it is running or still warm, allow it to cool before fuelling.
Never smoke or light any fires near the blower or fuels.
Aways transport and store fuels in an approved container.
Never place flammable material close to the engine muffler.
Do not use petrol which contains ethanol or methanol as it may damage the fuel lines and other engine parts.
If fuel must be stored longer than 30 days, it should first be treated with a stabilizer or similar product.
Choke Control
If the engine is cold you will need to use the choke control.

·If the oil is dirty, it needs to be
replaced.

Starting The Blower
To start the engine, proceed as follows:
1. Press the primer 10 times until there are no air bubbles are visible in the fuel
discharge line.
Note: This is not necessary if the engine is warm.
2. If the engine is cold, close the choke. (See Fig. 16).
Note: This is not necessary if the engine is warm.
3. Place the blower on the ground, and hold the blower handle firmly with your right
hand.
4. Pull the recoil starter until the engine sounds like it wants to run. (See Fig. 17).
5. Open the choke. (See Fig. 18).
6. Pull the recoil starter rapidly until the engine starts.
7. Allow the engine to run for 10 seconds to let it warm up.
8. To increase the engine speed squeeze the throttle trigger.
Stopping The Blower
Stop the engine by pressing the off button and holding it for 2 seconds.
Blowing
Start the blower engine, as previously described. Hold the blower firmly about 10-20 cm from the goound and move it
in a sweeping motion from left to right, directing the debris to the desired location.
Use low throttle settings when clearing lightweight materials from around lawns or shrubbery.
Use medium to higher throttle settings to move lightweight grass or leaves from driveways or paths.
Use full throttle when moving heavy loads such as dirt.
Important
Blower noise increases at higher throttle settings. Always use the lowest throttle setting required to get the job done
Never operate the blower unless it is properly assembled and in good working condition.
Never operate the blower without a properly functioning muffler and spark arrestor installed.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Use Of The Petrol Blower
The blower can efficiently move a wide variety of debris ranging from grass clippings to gravel. As a general rule try to
operate the blower at the lowers throttle setting necesssary to get the job done.
Read this manual carefully before any use.
Ensure you are wearing suitable clothing and also safety equipment like safety glasses,ear protection and a mask if
necessary.
Maintenance
Warning
Before performing any maintenance on this blower, stop the engine and disconnect the spark plug wire.
Checking The Spark Plug
Check the spark plug every 10-15 hours of use.
1. Remove the spark plug cover.
2. Use the spark plug wrench to remove the spark plug.
3. Clean and adjust the spark plug gap to 0.6-0.7. Replace any damaged or visibly worn plug with equivalent spark plug.
4. Install the spark plug and then tighten it firmly with the spark plug wrench.

Maintenance - Oil
Maintenance of Oil
Check oil level before every use.
Replace oil after the first 4 hours of operation.
Refill oil when level reaches lower indicator on oil guage.
Do not fill beyond upper indicator on oil guage.
Replace oil after every 10 hours of operation with 10W-40 engine oil.
Replace oil if it is dirty or contaminated.
Maintenance - Air Filter
Maintenance of the Air Filter
Always switch off the machine and pull out of spark
plug H.T. lead before carrying out any maintenance work.
NOTE: Dirty air filters reduce the engine output
by supply too little air to the carburettor.
Regular checks of the air filter is essential. The air filter
should be checked every 10 hours of operation and
cleaned if necessary. The air filter should be checked
more frequently when used in dry and dusty
environments.
1. Remove the air filter cover (2) by removing the air
filter screw (1).
2. Remove the filter element (3).
3. Clean the filter element by washing in soapy water and allowing it to dry completely.
4. Soak in oil and squeeze off excess.
5. Assemble in reverse order.
Never clean the air filter with petrol or inflammable solvents.
Make sure Air Filter is fitted correctly, (warranty will be void if engine is damaged due to
incorrect fitment).

MAINTENANCE & CARE
Storage
If you fail to follow these instructions correctly before storing the machine, deposits may form
on the interior of the carburettor & may result in the engine being more difficult to start or the
machine suffering permanent damage.
Storage Preparation
1. Carry out all the maintenance work require prior to storing.
2. Drain the fuel out of the tank.
3. When the fuel has been drained, start the engine.
4. Allow the engine to run at idling speed until it stops. This will clean the remainder of the fuel out of the carburettor.
5. Leave the machine to cool (approx. 5 minutes).
6. Clean the exterior housing of the machine.
7. Store the machine in a cold, dry place where it is out of the reach of ignition sources & inflammable substances.
8. Always store engine upright. Do not store upside down or on the engines sides.
Fertilizers and other chemical garden products often contain substances that accelerate the rate of corrosion of metals. Do
not store the machine on or near fertilizers or other chemicals.
Before Restarting
Recheck engine oil is sufficient.
Transport
To transport the machine, first empty the petrol tank. Pump the primer to completely remove fuel from the carburettor
& empty excess from the tank. Clean coarse dirt off the machine with a brush. Transport Trimmer with engine in upright
position. Do not transport with engine upside down or on its side.

Maintenance Chart - Refer to the following table for routine maintenance.
Always stop the engine before any maintenance is done on the unit. When all parts have
stopped rotating, remove the spark plug lead to begin maintenance work.
Never repair cutting attachments by welding, straightening or custom reworking of parts. This
may result in product failure or serious injury.
Never attempt maintenance that is not outlined in this manual. All repair work must be carried
out by an Authorised Bushranger

Line inside bump head
is nearly nished.
Open bump head and rewind
the line ("Fitting trimmer line -
bump head" on page 16)
Replace the residual line with
the new line ("Fitting trimmer line
- bump head" on page 16)
