This decorative brass sextant is a classic nautical tool, rst used by sailors over 100 years ago.

Sextants are still used as a back up form of navigation if there is no GPS.

A sextant measures the angle of stars above the horizon to calculate global position.

SEXTANT CARE

1. When discoloration or deterioration of the nish occurs, use a soft cloth to wash with warm, soapy water. Dry

immediately.

2. Polish with a commercially available brass polish following manufacturer’s instructions.

3. Preserve nish by applying a light coat of wax, then bufng it, using a soft polishing cloth.
