INSTALLATION AND SAFE USAGE INSTRUCTIONS
1. Placetheextenderinaverticalorientationonaatsurface.
2. ConnectthemanufacturersuppliedACtoDCpoweradapter.The
FAST 399 extender requires the use of a 12VDC, 2.5A power
adapter.Onlyuseamanufacturersuppliedandapprovedpower
adapterandEthernetcable.
3. Connectthe“FAST399”totheACMainsinaccordancewiththe
installationinstructions in thisbooklet, and themarkings on the
identication label (voltage, current, and frequency of electricity
network).
4. ConnecttheEthernetcable(provided)totheRJ45portlabeled“LAN”ononeendandtotheInternetaccessdeviceprovidedbyyourISP
on the other end.
5. ForconnectionofacomputerwithanEthernetcableuseoneoftheRJ45portsontheproductmarked«1»,«2».Thenconnecttheother
endoftheEthernetCabletotheEthernetportofacomputer.RepeatasnecessarywiththeotheravailableEthernetports.
Whenusingthis device, basicsafetyprecautionsshouldalwaysbe followed toreducetheriskofre, electric shock,andinjurytopersons
includingthefollowing:
1. Donotusethisproductnearwaterandavoidcontactwithmoisture.Forexample,doesnotusenearabathtub,washbowl,kitchensink,
laundrytub,inawetbasement,ornearaswimmingpool.Careshouldbetakensothatliquidsarenotspilledonthisequipment.
2. Thisequipmentisforindooruseonly,donotplaceorinstallinanoutdoorlocation.
3. Placeyourproductonarm,solidsurface,noobstacleataminimumdistanceof44cm(1.44feet).Ifyouputitonsomethingunsteady,it
mayfallandbedamaged.Ifyouplaceitonasoftsurface,suchasrug,sofaorcushion,theventsmaybeblocked,causingtheproductto
overheat.
4. Neverinsertobjectsintotheventsofthisequipmentasthiscanresultintheriskofelectricalshockorre.
5. Asthepoweradapteristheonlywaytoconnecttotheelectricalnetwork,theproductmustbeinstallednearaneasilyaccessedpoweroutlet.
6. Thisequipmentshouldonlybeoperatedwiththetypeofpowersupply(VoltageandCurrent)indicatedonthemarkinglabel.
7. Donotoverloadwalloutletsorextensioncords.Doingsocanresultintheriskofreorelectricalshock.

10.Careshouldbetakentoensurethatthepowercordisrouted,soitisnotlikelytobewalkedonorpinchedbyitemsplaceduponornexttoit.
11.Unplugthisequipmentbeforecleaning.Donotuseliquidcleanersoraerosolcleaners.Useadampclothforcleaningonly.
