SAFETY GUIDELINES

BEFORE SET UP OR USE OF THE FAST 5688W PRODUCT. IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY
TO FAMILIARIZE YOURSELF WITH THE PRODUCT USER GUIDES AND WARNINGS, AND
TO USE THE PRODUCT PROPERLY.
Installation and Safe Usage Instructions:
1. Place the Gateway in a vertical orientation on a flat surface.
2. To improve reception, place the equipment near a window, but avoid placing it in direct sunlight.
3. Connect the manufacturer supplied AC to DC power adapter. The FAST 5688W Gateway
requires the use of a 15VDC, 2.5A USB-C power adapter. Only use a manufacturer supplied
and approved power adapter.
4. Connect the “FAST 5688W” to the AC Mains in accordance with the installation instructions in
the Quick Start Guide, and the markings on the identification label (voltage, current, and
frequency of electricity network).
5. Connect one Ethernet cable (not provided) to the RJ45 yellow port on one end and to the
Internet access of your device (laptop or computer). Repeat as necessary with the other
available Ethernet port.
When using this device, basic safety precautions should always be followed to
reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and injury to persons including the
following:
1. Do not use this product near water and avoid contact with moisture. For example, do not use
near a bathtub, wash bowl, kitchen sink, laundry tub, in a wet basement, or near a swimming
pool. Care should be taken so that liquids are not spilled on this equipment.
2. This equipment is for indoor use only, do not place or install in an outdoor location.
3. Place the equipment on a firm, solid surface, at least 31 cm away from any other items. If you
place the equipment on something unsteady, the equipment may fall and be damaged. If you
place the equipment on a soft surface, such as a rug, sofa, or cushion, the vents on the
equipment may be blocked, causing the equipment to overheat.
4. Never insert objects into the vents of this equipment as this can result in the risk of electrical
shock or fire.
