This manual contains the daily self-tests for all equipment in the Furuno USA GMDSS console.
These tests are to assist in determining the daily operational status of console and its associated
equipment.
A daily test log is included and is to be used as a supplement for the current ship’s radio log.

1.1 Felcom 18
1.1.1 Testing
1) Log out the unit.
2) Press the [F7], [8], and then [3] to enter the self-test.
3) Select Yes, and press the [Enter] key.
4) All tests should be OK. If any errors are shown, record them and
contact your Furuno agent.
5) Press the [Esc] key to end.

2.1 FM-8900
2.1.1 Testing
1) Press the [MENU] key, then use the rotary knob to select [TEST].
2) The test will now begin.
3) Press [4] to print the test. Record any errors and contact your Furuno agent.
4) Press the [CANCEL] key to end the test and reurt to the main RT screen.

3.1.1 Daily Test
1) At the RT screen press the [4], Daily Test, key.
2) The self test will run.
3) After the test press [4], to print the results.
4) Record any errors and contact your Furuno agent.
5) Press the [CANCEL] key to end the test and return to the RT screen.

4.1.1 Testing
1) Press the [F6] key to begin.
2) Use the arrow keys to select Change.
3) Use the down arrow key to select Self Test.
4) Press the [Enter] key to start the test.
5) If NG appears, record the error and contact your Furuno agent.
6) Press the [Esc] key to end.
