PQL Sealed Bearing Housing Change
Please follow the instructions below
1. Tools required:
5/32” Hex Key
Hammer
End Nipper Pliers
Vise (Not Pictured)
2. Remove head from PQL-DV-DH
3. Remove outer housing by removing the three
attachment screws. Set housing and screws
aside.
4. Remove screws attaching Q-collar with a 5/32”
hex key wrench. Set screws and collar aside.

5. Place shaft in a soft-jawed vise. If soft-jawed
vise is not available, use a bit of cloth, wood or
gasket material to hold the shaft in place without
marking or deforming it. Use the end nips to
remove the key. Discard key after removal. (A
replacement is part of the kit.)
6. After removing key, pull rotor and shaft out of
housing. Set rotor/shaft and shielded bearing
housings aside.
7. Install sealed bearing housings by attaching the
Q-collar to the housing with the threaded inserts
for the attachment screws, rotor and shaft,
attachment screws, and then take the
replacement key and tap it into place in the drive
side keyway with the hammer.
