Introduction
CP 7851 Package
CP 7851 Camera Control Package consists of the following items:
iPad touch with preloaded SW 7810 Microphone and Camera Control Software
Camera System Control Unit with preloaded SW 7820 Camera Control Software
Wireless Router
The CP 7851 Camera Control Package is part of the CCS 7800 Camera Control System. Further products
might be added to the Camera Control System
Product Description
The Camera Control Package consist of a controller, a wireless router and an iPad Touch user interface for
setting up the camera presets, delegate list and microphones control.
The package supports the universal Visca protocol for camera control and up to 4 cameras can be
controlled. The Sony EVI-D70P is an example of a camera using this protocol.
If more than one camera is used a video switcher is needed. The CP 7851 supports control of the Extron
ISS 506 Seamless Switcher and Extron MSW Mini Switcher Series.
The iPad Touch Interface is used for view and handling microphones status. The delegate list view and
editing of the list and setting up conferences.
The iPad Touch Interface is used for programming and store camera presets into the camera system
controller. When using multiple cameras multiple presets can be stored for each seat.
The System Control Unit stores the presets for the camera and controls the camera movement as well as
controlling an optional video switcher.
The System control unit is connected directly to the CU 6005/11 Control Unit to the RS232 output or
when using the SW 6000 Conference Software connected to the ECA application's RS232 output.
The system can store camera presets for up to 400 seats. When the presets are stored, that camera’s will
move according to the microphones switched on at the seat.
Preset 400 (seat 0) is the overview preset the system will choose, if no microphone is turned ON or the
number of turned on microphones are larger than the settings made.
For each seat multiple presets (up to 4) can be made. The first preset is the one used if the camera is
‘free’. If the camera is not ‘free’ the second preset is automatically used and so on.

Important
It is important, that the settings in the iPad (IPC): ‘Settings/iRidiumis not changed. If changed the ‘DIS
Camera Control’ software might be deleted in the iPad and the iPad has to be send to factory for upload of
new software.
To get video feedback on the iPad you will need to install a video encoder, which has to be connected to
the video signal from cameras or video switcher and wireless router. We recommend using the AXIS
M7001 Video Encoder which is connected to and powered by the TrendNet TPE-111GI power supply. The
video signal from encoder/wireless router can then also be used for external connections. NOTICE that
the AXIS M7001 Video Encoder and TrendNet TPE-111GI power supply is not part of the CP 7851 Camera
Control package. See more below in paragraph AXIS M7001 Video Encoder and the schematics
.
The “Adapter, RS-232(F)/RS232(F)-> ECA”, which are used when CP 7851 Camera Control Package is
connected to ECA application in SW 6000, has to be mounted in the PC end of the RS-232 cable between
Camera System Control Unit and the PC.
Charging the iPad Control (IPC)
Connect the iPad to the wall charger supplied with the iPad. The iPad cannot charge on most PC’s due to
limitation of current that can be drawn from a PC’s USB plug, which typically is ½A (Ampere). The iPad
needs 2A to charge. The PC might be able to charge the iPad when the iPad is asleep (screen is out), but
the charging will be very slow.
