Netgear Orbi is a versatile and reliable Wi-Fi system designed to provide seamless and powerful internet connectivity throughout your home. The system comprises a router and a satellite unit that work together to create a robust and cohesive Wi-Fi network.

Connect your computer or mobile device to the Orbi router or satellite with an Ethernet or
WiFi connection.
To connect with WiFi, find the preset WiFi network name (SSID) and password on the
label on the Orbi router or satellite and connect to that network from your WiFi‑enabled
computer or mobile device.
Visit http://orbilogin.com and follow the onscreen instructions to set up your Orbi network.
The Orbi router’s ring LED turns o aer the setup is complete.
1. Connect Your Orbi Router
Unplug your modem and remove and replace the backup battery if it uses one.
Plug the modem back in.
Use the included Ethernet cable to connect your modem to the yellow Internet port on your
Orbi router.
Connect your Orbi router to a power source. The Power LED on the back of the Orbi router
lights green. If the Power LED does not turn on, press the Power On/O button.
Wait for the Orbi routers ring LED to light white.
2. Place Your Orbi Satellite
Place the Orbi satellite in the middle of your house to get the best WiFi coverage.
Connect the Orbi satellite to a power source. The Power LED on the back of the Orbi
satellite lights green. If the Power LED does not turn on, press the Power On/O button.
Wait for the Orbi satellite’s ring LED to light white and then light magenta. The Orbi
satellite’s ring LED lights magenta for about one minute while the satellite attempts to sync
with the Orbi router.

Aer the Orbi satellite’s ring LED lights magenta, it lights one of the following colors for
10 seconds and then turns o:

is good.
Note: If the Orbi satellite’s ring LED still lights magenta aer about one minute, and you
already moved the Orbi satellite closer to the Orbi router, press the Sync button on the
back of the Orbi router and on the back of the Orbi satellite.
If the Orbi satellite successfully syncs with the Orbi router, the Orbi satellites ring LED lights
white, then lights blue to indicate a good connection, and then turns o.
Amber
The connection between the
Orbi router and Orbi satellite
is fair. Consider moving the
Orbi satellite closer to the
Orbi router.
