About this manual
This manual covers both the Scandinavian style (PD30EM) and the
International style (PD40EM) of the ProxCodoor. In the scope of this
manual we will use the name ProxCodoor (unless notified.)
ProxCodoor - General
The ProxCodoor is a system component in the Bewator Entro Access
Control system range of products. It could be used indoors in general
(sales floor, shops, restaurants, manufacturing and assembly areas,
entrance and storage rooms). ProxCodoor is based on the popular
Codoor electromechanical codelock, but instead of a keypad it includes
a proximity reader which reads tags/cards of type EM4102. It is powered
from the system and connects (via a dropbox) to the local bus in Bewator
Entro and communicates with a Segment Controller.
The ProxCodoor is suitable for most doors with handle-operated
mortice locks. Check suitability by simply measuring your own lock. (See
further on the recommendations for each model).
It then requires only that the supplied 4-wire cable is mounted from
the dropbox through the door to the lockcase.

Supplied material
The ProxCodoor kit consists of the following parts:
The ProxCodoor unit with integrated proximity reader and 20 cm
cable (with connector matching the long cable).
Dropbox for connection to Entro.
5 metre cable with a 4-pin connector and a free end to be connected
to the dropbox.
Extension sleeves for handle nipples (use only one pair).
1 reinforcing spring.
1 reinforcing spring holder.
Additionally you need some kind of door loop to feed the cable from the
door to the dropbox.
NOTE! No batteries should be mounted in the unit (although there are
cutouts in the back).
Addressing
Before finally mounting the unit the address must be set between 1 - 32.
This is recommended to be done without power (unless the software
might not recognise any change). There are a two rotary switches at the
back of the unit where the arrows indicates the selected digits. If you
have the address switches upwards it looks like the figure.
The address is conformed of two digits:
1st digit (left): 0 - 3
2nd digit (right): 0 - 9
This will correspond to the address ranges used in the Entro system.

the handle on the inside. If this cannot be done, cut the spindle to
the right length. See photo .
Screw the supplied extension sleeves to the nipples for the handle.
Use the appropriate size sleeve to suite the bolts supplied with the
handles. Note! If neccessary, this must be mounted on the opposite
