Important Notices:
The following installation should be made
by qualified service personnel or system
installers and should conform to all local
codes.
• Be sure to use a ceiling board having
enough strength to support this camera.
Do not use the camera at a place where it
may be exposed to oil splashes.
Oil can cause cracks in the part where the
camera is mounted.
Mounting the camera (by leading the cables
through a hole in the ceiling)
To make a hole for the cables in the ceiling
where the camera is to be installed, proceed
as follows:
1. Determine the place on the ceiling where
you want to install the camera. Then make
a hole (approx. φ15 mm) in the ceiling
referring to the diagram at right.
2. Detach the panel cover by rotating it coun-
terclockwise.
3. Pass the cables through the cable hole.
4. Connect the cables as shown in the dia-
gram.
5. Mount the camera onto the ceiling by fix-
ing it with the mounting screws.
Note: The arrow mark on the camera’s
base plate indicates the direction of
the camera and coincides with the top
of the image displayed on the monitor.
To monitor images in upright position,
confirm that the arrow mark points in
the right direction before fixing the
camera with the screws.
6. Attach the panel cover to match the
“Panasonic” logo and arrow mark, and
rotate the cover clockwise. Make sure the
panel cover is closed firmly.
3. Tilt the camera in the direction of the Arrow
Mark until the protrusions on the camera fit
into the grooves in the upper portion of
the screw hole.
If the camera is difficult to tilt, slightly bend
open the bracket on both sides.
4. Tighten camera and bracket with the two
screws.
5. Detach the camera with the bracket from
the base plate by removing the two screws
to change the camera position.
6. Move the camera with the bracket to the
position on the base plate as shown in the
diagram and tighten it with the two screws.
Caution: Confirm that the direction of the
camera shown in the diagram coin-
cides with the top of the image dis-
played on the monitor screen.
Tilt the camera until protrusions
of the camera fit into these
grooves in the screw hole.
This camera can pick up images through the
holes on both sides of the panel cover. This
requires moving the position of the camera.
To pick up images through the hole above, fol-
low the procedure shown below.
1. Detach the panel cover by rotating it coun-
terclockwise.
2. Remove the two screws holding the cam-
era shown in the diagram.
