Characteristics of the juice extractor
The juice extractor is an electrical appliance for fast fruit and
vegetable juice centrifuging with automatic separation of
pulp. The raw material is rst pulped and next the juice is
centrifuged from the pulp. A simple and easy operation of the
appliance enhance its utility advantages. An electronic speed
stabilizer ensures a constant rotation speed irrespectively of
loading, which guarantees obtaining of juice even consistency.
The juice extractor is equipped with 2 centrifuging speeds
(for hard and soft fruit) which were chosen to obtain the
optimal quality parameters for squeezed juices. Keeping the
maximal content of fruit pulp and bre containing vitamins,
pectin, enzymes and minerals in the juice results in its lower
clarity. This is an intended effect since the Producer of the
juice extractor decided that it is more important to keep the
highest possible nutritious, health and dietetic values of the
obtained fruit than its clarity. The juice extractor is additionally
equipped with lter self-cleaning function. After pressing the
turbo button, the engine works for about 3 seconds with high
rotation. High rotation helps to clean the lter in the event of
vibrations resulting from excessive pulp accumulation. The
turbo function may be used in 10-second intervals only. The
juice extractor may work for 15 minutes without any break.
The quantity of juice obtained, e.g. from 1 kg of a raw material
depends on its freshness as well as on lter cleanliness and
the state of the pulping blade. The parts in contact with the
processed raw materials are made of materials permitted for
contact with food.
Juice extractor safety operation instructions
Do not use the juice extractor if the spinning strainer is
damaged.
Make sure that the lid is clamped securely in place before
motor is turned on.
Do not unfasten clamps when the juice extractor is in
operation and the strainer is spinning because the safety
system will cause the appliance to stop.
Use the pusher only to push food into the feeder
opening.
Do not overload the appliance with excessive amounts of
food or too intense pushing (with the pusher).
Immediately turn off the juice extractor if you notice
strong vibrations or the rotation speed is reduced. Clear
the strainer and its cover.
Turn the motor off and unplug the appliance if food is
blocked in the feeder opening or on the grinding blades.
Remove the cause of blocking.
Use hard bristle brush for cleaning the strainer with sharp
grinding blade.
Do not use the juice extractor without pulp collector.
Do not overload the appliance with extensive amount
of product or do not push it to strong (with a pusher),
because a sudden increase of juice amount in the bowl
spout can cause the juice overow out of the lid or into
pulp collector.
Preparation of the juice extractor for
operation (disassembling) (Fig. C)
Before using the juice extractor for the rst time, disassemble
it and wash parts in contact with the processed product.
Place the juice extractor near the socket on the rm,
clean and dry surface.
1
Pull down the clamps (6) so that the tracks moved out of
grooves of the lid (5).
2
Take the pusher (7) and the lid (5) out.
3
Then remove the juice collector (2) including the body
(3) and the lter (4). To this end, turn the body (3) right
(clockwise) to the limit and raise the body with the juice
collector and the lter.
4
Finally, disassemble the juice collector (2) from the
body (3).
Wash the disassembled parts (except the motor unit)
carefully in hot water and wash-up liquid. You can also
clean them in a dishwasher in max temp. 60°C (except
for the strainer and the motor unit). After drying them
carefully, start assembling the clean parts.
84
Preparation of the juice extractor for
operation (assembling) (Fig. D)
1
Put the body of the juice collector (3) on the motor unit
so that a clamp (6) is placed slightly on the left of the buttons
on the motor and turn left to the limit (anticlockwise) so that
a clamp is placed over the buttons.
2
Put the juice container (2) on the body (3) so that the lip
(h) was placed in the cutting of the body (3).
3
Put the lter (4) inside, press it slightly and check if it is
well mounted and rotates easily.
4
Put the lid (5) and close the clamps (6).
5
Put the pusher (7) to the feeding tube.
6
Insert the pulp container (8) under the lid (5) in the
following way: lean the pulp container and place it under a

Start-up of the juice extractor
and operation (Fig. E)
1
Plug the juice extractor.
The appliance has an additional protection. If it is
plugged and the button power (a) is on and if the
switch is pulsating red, it means that either the body
(3) or the clamps (6) were improperly placed on the lid.
In such a situation the appliance cannot be started.
Check again whether the assembly is proper until the
lamp (c) turns blue.
2
Press the button power (a) the juice extractor will
operate on gear 1 and the control lamp will turn blue. It is
a gear recommended for fruit.
3
If you need operations on gear 2 (high rotation for hard
fruit like carrots, celeries, beetroots, apples, etc.), press (for
a short time, max. 2 sec.) the button (b) the lamp (c) will
shine red with a continuous light. If it is necessary to return
to gear 1, press for a short time the button (b) and the juice
extractor will return to gear 1, the control lamp will shine blue
with a continuous light.
The juice extractor always start working on gear 1.
An examplar table containing detailed information
about selecting a relevant gear for specic fruit and
vegetables may be found on page 84.
Put fruit or vegetables of relevant size into the feeding
tube (if necessary, they should be cut into pieces of
relevant size) and press them slightly with the pusher.
You must not push the products with your ngers or
other objects.
4
In case of the necessity (in case of excessive
accumulation of the pulp on the lter, which causes juice
extractor vibrations) you can use turbo button. To this
end, press the button (b) for a longer time (about 3 sec.).
The engine operates in such a case on maximal rotation for
approximately 2 seconds. After this time, the turbo function
switches off automatically, and the engine returns to previous
rotation.
ATTENTION! Repeated usage of turbo function can
take place after min. 10 seconds.
Do not overload the appliance with extensive amount
of product or do not push it to strong (with a pusher),
because a sudden increase of juice amount in the bowl
spout can cause the juice overow out of the lid or into
pulp collector.
85
After operation (centrifuging of juice) (Fig. F)
1
Switch the juice extractor off, turning the button (a), the
lamp (c) will go out.
2
Unplug the appliance.
After the engine stops, start to disassemble the juice
extractor in order to wash the parts (see „Preparation of
the juice extractor for operation”).
Remove the accumulated pulp from the pulp container
(8).
Prevent the excess of the pulp container (8). The
excessive pulp can pour out while leaning the
container during removing.
Juice extractor maintenance rules
Clean the juice extractor carefully after each usage, to
prevent drying of juice and fruit remains.
Remove the dirt from the corners with a bottle brush or
tooth brush.
Clean the motor with a damped cloth sprinkled with
washing up liquid. Then dry it.
When water or juice gets into the motor, stop operation
and bring the appliance to the service centre for
inspection.
The following elements of the equipment: the juice
collector (2), the lid (5), the pusher (7) and the pulp
container (8) should be washed in hot water with
wash-up liquid.
You can also clean them in dishwashers in maximum
temperature 60°C.
The exception is the lter
(4). It should be washed with
a hard brush only. Do not use any metal brushes to
clean the lter!
As a result of a long use of the appliance, some plastic
elements can change their colour. Do not treat it as
a defect.
Colour from carrots can be removed by cleaning the
surface with a cloth moistened with edible oil.
Dry carefully all parts after cleaning.
Assemble the juice extractor according to the instructions
described above (see “Preparation of the juice
extractor for operation”).
Roll the supplying cord inside the compartment located
in the base of the juice extractor motor.
Pay special attention to transparent plastic parts.
They are sensitive to hits and falls. They may easily
be damaged then.
Vegetable and fruit juices preparation
Fruits and vegetables intended for juice extraction
should be fresh and cleaned carefully. Vegetables should
be cleaned from sand and soil with running water and
peeled. Publications on making juices recommend to
soak vegetables for 5 minutes in water with salt and citric
acid.
Vegetables prepared in this way do not get darker during
the process of grinding and juice made of them has
a natural colour.
Berry fruits should be washed directly before using
because they lose freshness quickly.
The selection of vegetables and fruit depends on
the season of the year, taste preferences and health
recommendations. Nutritive values of vegetable and fruit
juices also depend on the way of preparation.
Juices should be prepared from juicy vegetables and
fruits, which should be ripe and fresh to get the juice of
an excellent taste and fragrance.
The following vegetables are suitable for juice preparation:
tomatoes, carrots, celeries, beetroots, parsnips, onions,
cabbage, cucumbers, black turnip, rhubarb, etc. For
dietetic purposes juices may be prepared from lettuce,
spinach, leek and other vegetables.
Such vegetables as radish, chives, parsley, dill and cress
are added to drinks in a nely cut form.
Fruit juices may be obtained from almost all kinds of
fruits.
Apples, peaches, apricots and plums should be scalded
in a colander after washing.
Remove pips, seeds or stones from fruits containing
them because they could damage the juice extractor.
Extracting juice from plums, blueberries, raspberries, soft
pears and apples and other fruits is inconvenient. The
esh of these fruits becomes a spongy pulp which blocks
holes of the lter. You can use these fruits for extracting
juice mixing a small amount of them with other fruit or
vegetables and the lter should be cleaned more often
in such a case.
Root vegetables and hard fruits should be cut into pieces
which could t in the feeding tube.
Fruits and vegetables are put into the feeding tube only
after starting of the juice extractor.
If the raw material gets stuck in the feeding tube or on
the pulping blade of the lter, use the turbo function.
If the above problem still exists, switch the appliance off,
disassemble it and clean.
Nutritive values of fresh juices is similar to nutritive
values of fruit and vegetables, however a part of bre
is eliminated during the process of juice centrifuging.
that is why juices may be drunk by persons who, due
to complaints of their digestive tract cannot eat raw
vegetables.
Drinks from fruits are specially recommended for children
and elderly people nourishment.
It is recommended to drink a small amount of water while
86
drinking vegetable juices, which are very strong. If the
juices are not diluted, a daily portion should not exceed
a half of glass.
Fruit juices are easier to digest so they may be drunk in
big amounts: from 3 to 4 glasses a day between meals.
Juices should be drunk immediately after extraction
and drunk in sips. When drinking juice slowly, it mixes
with saliva which helps to digest it. Drunk too fast and in
excessive amounts, the juice is not absorbed properly.
Except apples, fruit should not be mixed with vegetables.
Melons should not be mixed with other fruit.
Juices should not be stored for later consumption.
Vegetable juices may be diluted with lukewarm boiled
water, mineral water, milk or whey, you may add sugar or
avor them in a different way.
You may prepare low-alcoholic cocktails from juices.
Vegetable juices may be avoured with fragrance spices
such as pepper, dill, caraway, nutmeg, thyme, marjoram
whereas fruit drinks may be avoured with vanilla,
cinnamon and clove. In order to get a full fragrance of
spices, they should be nely ground before being added
to a drink. They should be used in small amounts in order
to keep a natural taste and fragrance of products from
which a drink has been made. Due to a low caloric value
of fruit and vegetable drinks are highly recommended for
people on a diet.
Fruit and vegetable drinks should be served in room
temperature or they should be cooled with ice cubes.
Salty sticks, crackers and croutons can be snacks to go
with vegetable drinks and teacakes, cakes and biscuits
to go with fruit drinks.
The juice obtained from certain fruit and vegetables has
a tendency to self-condensing. Such phenomena results
from the properties of used products and is irrespective
of the application.
Fresh juice is healthy
Carrot juice
It accelerates metabolism since it contains
microelements and vitamins necessary for the
body to function properly.
Vitamin A, produced from carotene, improves
sight. The ingredients of this juice eliminate
harmful effects of nicotine, restores the natural healthy colour
of the skin. Half a glass of carrot juice and half a glass of milk
is recommended for little children. Carrot juice in combination
with apple juice is recommended as an energizing drink for
elderly people.
Tomato juice
Ripe and fresh tomatoes produce juice
of an excellent quality. Tomato juice may
be mixed with all other vegetable juices.
It contains a lot of vitamin A and C.
Two glasses of this juice covers a daily demand of vitamin C.
Salt and pepper enhance the taste of the juice.
Beetroot juice
Beetroot juice in combination with orange juice
gives a drink of an excellent taste. This juice in
a pure form may be drunk only upon a doctor’s
recommendation.
Cabbage juice
This juice is applied in treatment of gastric
ulcers, however only upon a doctor’s
recommendation. When mixed with carrot
juice, it may be drunk by those with sensitive
stomach.
Spinach juice
This juice is highly hematopoietic,
however due to a strong smell it is
recommended to mix it with carrot juice.
Spinach juice, carrot juice and celery
juice mixed in equal amounts give
a tasty drink.
Celery juice
Do not use celery leaves because of their
bitter taste. The juice from a root of a celery
is very tasty. It can be mixed with other
vegetable juices. It should be drunk in smaller
amounts than carrot juice. Adding apple juice
or lemon improves the taste of the juice.
Cucember juice
It is naturally bland and it should be mixed
with apple, carrot or celery juice. Cucumber
juice is used for skin care. It also lters
kidneys. It is recommended for slimming
treatment.
Apple juice
Juice made from fresh and ripe apples has
a pleasant fragrance and taste and it is rich in
vitamins A and B and valuable mineral salts.
A high content of pectin in the juice makes
that it has properties supporting digestion. Fresh apple juice
is used to treat podagra and rheumatism. It is, generally
speaking, an excellent nutriment.
Blackberry juice
Blackberry juice with a small amount of sugar
and mineral water makes a very refreshing
drink. Due to a big content of vitamins and
microelements, it gives energy, especially to
elderly people.
Black elder juice
The juice is rich in nutritive elements, it has
diaphoretic properties and is used to treat
a cold. When preparing preserves, it may be
mixed with other fruit juices.
87
Blackcurrant juice
Blackcurrant juice has a specic fragrance,
high acidity and noticeable tartness. Due to its
chemical composition and a content of vitamins,
it is one of the best juices. It should be mixed
with juices of low acidity or with water, honey
or sugar.
