SOME DOS AND DON'TS ON THE SAFE USE OF EQUIPMENT

approved stand or legs with the fixings provided according to the instructions.
DON'T use equipment such as personal stereos or radios so that you are distracted from the requirements of traffic safety.
DON'T listen to headphones at high volume, as such use can permanently damage your hearing.

leave equipment switched on when it is unattended unless it is specifically stated that it is designed for unattended operation
or has a stand-by mode. Switch off using the switch on the equipment and make sure that your family knows how to do
this. Special arrangements may need to be made for infirm or handicapped people.

Safety Precautions
To achieve the utmost in enjoyment and performance, please read this manual carefully before attempting to operate the unit in order to
became familiar with its features, and assure you years of faithful, trouble free performance and listening pleasure.
Important Notes
Keep instructions the safety and operating instructions should be retained for
future reference.
Avoid installing the unit in locations described below:
* Places exposed to direct sunlight or close to heat radiating appliances such as electric heaters. on top of other stereo equipment that
radiate too much heat.
* Places lacking ventilation or dusty places.
* Places
subject to constant vibration. Humid or moist places.
Make sure not to obstruct the ventilation openings.
Before turning on the power for the first time, make sure the power cord is properly installed.
Mains plug is used as the disconnect device and it shall remain readily operable completely.
The product shall not be
exposed to dripping or splashing and that no objects filled with liquids, such as vases, shall be placed on the
product.
To be completely disconnect the power input, the mains plug of apparatus shall be disconnected from the mains.
Minimum distances around the apparatus for sufficient ventilation is 10cm.
Attention should be
drawn to the environmental aspects of battery disposal.
The use of apparatus in moderate climates.
The mains plug should not be obstructed or should be easily accessed during intended use.
The ventilation should not be impeded by covering the ventilation openings with items such as newspaper, table-clothes, curtains etc.

PUTTING THE BATTERY INTO THE REMOTE CONTROL UNIT

2. Place the battery (CR2032) into the battery compartment according
to the polarity marking, with the “+” sign facing up.
3.
Note: Remote the battery from the remote control if not in used for a
long period of time.
When the battery becomes weak, the remote control
will not be functioned properly, replace with new battery if that happened.
Press down of the compartment cover, and slide the cover off open
the compartment.
Place the cover over the compartment, press down lightly, and pus
it
upward until it snaps on.

1. If there is no signal under the iPod mode, the main unit will be switched off within 15 minutes automatically.
2. Please turn the main power off to save energy, when you do not use the unit.
MEMORY BACK-UP
The unit has memory reserved function for 3 hours
automatically, and it should make sure the unit connect to mains power and
work for 5 minutes or more duration.

Power Cord Connection
1. Connect the AC/DC Adaptor Ti p to the DC jack on the rear of the unit firstly.
2. Connect the AC/DC
Adaptor Plug to the AC outlet socket secondly.
Note: In any time, the iPod/iPhone PLAYERS must be fixed well under in the
standby mode to avoid them were damaged.
When you first plug the AC/DC Adaptor plug into the AC outlet socket, the unit
will be
in standby mode. You can press the STANDBY/ON button on the unit ( or on the remote control ) to switch the unit ON or
OFF. Pull the AC/DC Adaptor plug out of the wall socket if you want to switch off completely.
Note: During the unit in STANDBY mode, you can also press the FUNCTION button to switch the unit “ON”.To switch off the
unit by pressing the STANDBY button only.
1. Press the STANDBY/ON button on the unit (or remote control) to switch the unit on. The red STANDBY indicator will light off.
2.
Select the sound source (iPod, AUX or Tuner) by pressing the FUNCTION button.
3. Adjust the volume with the VOLUME (UP or DOWN) button.
4. Set the preset equalizer ( PASS, CLASSIC, ROCK, POP or JAZZ) with the EQ button on the unit (or remote control).
5. Press the STANDBY
button again to turn off the unit. The red STANDBY indicator will light on.
Note:
During the unit in STANDBY mode :
1. Press the MEMORY/CLOCK-ADJ. button to select the12-hour or 24-hour.

FUNCTION SELECT
Press the FUNCTION button to change the sound source. The display window will change as below:
RADIO OPERATION
1. Press the FUNCTION button to select the TUNER mode on the unit (or remote control), you can select the radio FM operation.
2. Select the desired frequency with the SKIP/TUNE
SEARCH (UP or DOWN) button. Press continuously until you read the
correct frequency or the reception is at its best.
Mono/ Stereo Select
This unit can receive FM mode only.
1. When you want to select FM stereo station, press the REPEAT/MONO/ST. button on the remote control only.
When you receive a FM stereo station the " " indicator will appear on the display window, this means you are receiving
the FM stereo transmission .
2. When you press the REPEAT/MONO/ST. button again, the FM STEREO indicator will turn off and
switch to FM MONO
status.
Automatic Tuning
1. Press the SKIP/TUNE SEARCH (UP or DOWN) button for a few seconds, then release the button. The tuner will automatically
search the first station of sufficient signal strength.
2. Repeat above procedure if you wish to select another
station.
Programming preset stations
You can also preset stations of your choice and store up 20 FM stations in its memory. To store your selected broadcasting stations:
1. During the unit in TUNER mode, press the SKIP/TUNE SEARCH (UP or DOWN) button to search the required station.
2. Press the MEMORY/CLOCK-ADJ.
button on the remote control only.
3. Press the PRESET/ARROW(+ or -) button on the remote control only for your desired station channel.
4. Press the MEMORY/CLOCK-ADJ. button again to confirm your selection.
2. Press and hold the MEMORY/CLOCK-ADJ. button, the HOUR digit will flash. Press the SKIP/TUNE SEARCH(DOWN or UP)
button to adjust HOUR digit firstly. Press the MEMORY/CLOCK-ADJ. button again, the MINUTE digit will also flash. Press
the SKIP/TUNE SEARCH (DOWN or UP) button to adjust MINUTE digit.
3. Press the MEMORY/CLOCK-ADJ. button to confirm the time.
Note: 1. Each enable state as shown
above will be cleared if you did not press any buttons in10 seconds.
2. Press CLOCK DISPALY button in any station of Tuner/iPod/Aux when the unit is powered off, the clock will display for
5 seconds and then come back
to the original station automatically.

Selecting the Preset Stations
1. Press the PRESET/ARROW(UP or DOWN) button to select the desired preset station number.
2. The numeric location of that preset station is displayed along with the corresponding frequency.
FM Antenna
Make sure the FM antenna is extended to its full length. It may be necessary to vary
the direction of this antenna wire until you
find the position that provides the best reception for your favorite FM stations.
SKIP/TUNE SEARCH (UP or DOWN)
iPod touch version 1.1.2 or above can support REPEAT function only.
iPod/iPhone OPERATION(Support 2G/3G iPhone)
on the remote control
During the unit in STANDBY mode :
1.
Insert the iPod players in the iPod/iPhone connector dock fixedly.
2. Power on the unit, and then press the FUNCTION button to the iPod mode, The iPod indicator will
appear on the unit display. (F1)
During the unit in iPod/iPhone mode :
1. Press the PLAY/PAUSE button once
to start the iPod/iPhone playing. Adjust the volume level by tuning the
VOLUME(+ or -) knob.
2. Press the PLAY/PAUSE button once to pause the current track. To resume the playback, press the PLAY/PAUSE button once
again.
3. To skip forwards or backwards, press the
button to select the desired track.
4. Press the REPEAT/MONO/ST. button to make the iPod plays repeatedly.
Note:
How to select the iPod/iPhone Menu mode:(on the remote control)
1. During the unit in iPod mode, press the MENU button, and then the unit will enter to the iPod/iPhone MENU
function.
2. Press the PRESET/ARROW (UP or DOWN) button to select from the menu list as following: Music > Extras > Photo Import
(does not display on the display on the iPod Mini) > Settings > Shuffle Songs > Backlight > Now Playing will show on the iPod's
display screen.
3. Press the SELECT button once to select the desired menu folder on the remote control only.
4. Press the PRESET/ARROW (UP or DOWN ) button again to search the current content in the each desired menu folder.
5. You can always return to the previous menu by
pressing the MENU button.
Charging the iPod/iPhone Player battery through the main unit:
1. iPod/iPhone has an internal nonremovable battery, you may need to charge it if it has not been used for awhile.
2. You can charge the iPod/iPhone through the main unit automatically under the STANDBY or POWER ON
mode.

5. To program more stations into memory, repeat the above steps 1 to 4.
6. To change the stored preset stations, repeat the above steps 1 to 4.
Note: 1. Storing a new station into a preset location will erase the previously stored station in that location.
2. Power off/failure or power cord disconnection will clear the memory of all preset stations. Perform the stations presetting
procedures again to store the stations.

LISTEN TO THE MUSIC BY USING HEADPHONE
Plug your headphones (3.5mm mini-stereo plug) into the headphones jack on the left side of the unit. The sound will be heard
through the headphones, not the speaker.
WARNING: The
risk of hearing impairment due to exposure to excessive sound levels may be reduced by listening at lower volumes
and for shorter durations.
MUTE SETTING (on the remote control)
LINE in cable not included
The AUX input is located at the rear of
the unit. Use a 3.5mm stereo jack cable to connect audio equipment through the LINE IN jack.
1. To select the AUX function, repeatedly press the FUNCTION button on the unit (or remote control) until the AUX indicator is on the
display window.
2. Press the VOLUME (UP
or DOWN) button to adjust the sound output level.
EQ shows the present sound tone.
When you press the EQ button on the remote control, the sound tone changes as below:
1. If you want to fall asleep in music, press the SLEEP button on the remote control.
2. You may adjust
the iPod, AUX or TUNER sleep function to play from 90, 60, 45,30 or 15 minutes of music before it shuts itself
down automatically.
1. When you press the MUTE button once on the remote control, the MUTE and the VOLUME LEVEL indicators will flash a few
seconds, and then the display will return to the FM mode. The VOLUME LEVEL indicator will keep in flash. The audio output will
be temporarily terminated.(F1)
2. Press the MUTE button again, both the volume level and the audio output will resume to normal.(F2)

Note :
1. The iPod/iPhone battery is 80-percent charged in about an hour, and fully charged in about a few hours. If you charge it
while playing music, it may take longer.
2. It is better not charge under in the TUNER mode. It may interfere that the reception is at its best.
3. In any time, you can control the iPod/iPhone and the remote control while the unit in the iPod/iPhone mode.
4. In any time, the iPod must be firmly inserted to the unit in the
STANDBY mode to avoid any damages to the iPod and the
unit.

ALARM CLOCK OPERATION(on the remote control)
During the unit in STANDBY mode :
To set the correct "ALARM 1 or ALARM 2" :
1. Press the “ALARM 1 or 2 SET/OFF" button once on the remote control. The "AL 1 or 2 BELL SYMBOL" indicator will light on.
Press
the “ALARM 1 or 2 SET/OFF" button one more time and hold it for a few seconds, then the “HOUR & AL 1 or 2 BELL
SYMBOL” indicators will flash. Adjust to the correct "HOUR" by pressing the "SKIP/TUNE SEARCH (UP or DOWN)" button.
2. Press the
“ALARM 1 or 2 SET/OFF" button again. The “MINUTE & AL 1 or 2 BELL SYMBOL indicators will flash. Adjust to the
correct "MINUTE" by pressing the "SKIP/TUNER(UP or DOWN)" button.
3. Press the “ALARM 1 or 2 SET/OFF" button again to display the ALARM modes (TUNER,
iPod and BUZZER). Select your
preferred alarm mode by pressing the "SKIP/ TUNE SEARCH" (UP or DOWN) button.
4. Press the “ALARM 1 or 2 SET/OFF” button repeatedly to confirm the "ALARM 1 or 2" mode", and then the "AL 1 or 2 BELL
SYMBOL" indicator
will light on the LCD display.
SNOOZE FUNCTION
SPECIFICATION
Press the SNOOZE button after the TUNER, iPod, or BUZZER alarm sounded. The alarm will go off and will come on again in
approximately 5 minutes. You may repeat this cycle several times during the 1 hour alarm interim.
Note:1. When the
bell is ringing, you can press the "STANDBY" button once or press the “ALARM 1 SET/OFF or ALARM 2 SET
/OFF" button once on the unit to stop the "ALARM 1 or 2" function. The “AL 1 or 2 BELL SYMBOL" indicator
will still light on the LCD display. (It may keep the "ALARM 1 or 2" function in next day.)
2. When the bell is not ringing, if you want to stop the "ALARM 1 or 2" function fully, you can press the
“ALARM 1 SET/OFF
or ALA RM 2 SET/OFF" button once on the unit. The “AL 1 or 2 BELL SYMBOL” indicator will turn off on
the display. The function of the “ALARM 1 or 2" will cancel at
once.
3. When the alarm is damming under the iPod or tuner mode, the volume can adjusted.
