SWI-X and Rear Seat Controller Bulletin
For 2002 and older GM SUV’s and Trucks with rear seat controls and headphone jacks.
June 10, 2004
Problem: When installing an SWI-X to the rear seat controller of the vehicle, the rear speakers do not have
sound. The front speakers play fine.
Solution: You must cut the Pink or Purple wire at the factory amplifier. This will keep the factory amplifier
from turning off the rear speaker outputs when you apply +12 volts to pin#12 (pink or purple wire), which
power up the rear seat controls for use with the SWI-X.
