KNIFE JIG ALIGNMENT
KIT FOR JOINTERS
With the traditional method, the jointer knife is adjusted the same way as the
other knife jigs, using a standard knife adjusting gauge the knives can be
adjusted to the height required and be even with the other cutterhead knives. This
alignment jig has been designed to help users set their Jointer knives quickly and
accurately in order to obtain precision cuts.
INSTRUCTIONS:
1) Position the jig flat on top of the rear table surface with the magnetic points
facing downwards. The four magnetic points (A, B, C and D. See illustration
below) will become the alignment level of the knife. The magnetic points of E
and F will keep the knife at the same height of A, B, C and D as illustrated
below. Lock the knife gib screw in order to hold in position, the height of the
knife tip will be equal to the height of the rear table surface.
2) Repeat step #1 for all other cutterhead knives.
