Unauthorised conversion and/or modification of the product is not al-
lowed for safety and approval reasons (CE).
The product is not a toy and does not belong in the hands of children!
There is danger of a life-threatening electric shock!
The product may only run on mains voltage (see section “Technical
Data”). Never try to operate the product at another voltage, as this will
result in destruction of the product.
At installation, a device disconnecting all-pole from the mains voltage
must be provided (e.g. residual current circuit breaker).
The product is designed according to Protection Class I; the protective
earth conductor must be connected.
Do not connect or run the device, if there is no mains supply line with pro-
tective earthing conductor available at the installation site. In this case,
install a new voltage supply with a grounding wire.
The product must not be operated by means of a dimmer.
This product must be installed and used only in dry conditions indoors.
The product must not get damp or wet; danger of a fatal electric shock!
Do not use this light in rooms that are under adverse ambient conditions
where combustible gases, vapours or dust are or may be present! There
is a risk of explosion!
Do not hang or attach objects (e.g. decorative material) to the light; there
is a risk of fire!
Caution, LED light:
Do not look directly into the LED light!
Do not look into the beam directly or with optical instruments!
The product must not be exposed to extreme temperatures, strong vibra-
tions or heavy mechanical stress. Protect the product from dust and dirt.
If it can be assumed that safe operation is no longer possible, the device
must be turned off and precautions must be taken to ensure that it is not
used unintentionally. After this, arrange for an expert to check the prod-
uct.
Safe operation can no longer be assumed if:
- the product shows visible signs of damage
- the product does not work at all or works poorly (flickering light, leaking
smoke or a smell of burning, audible crackling noises, or discolouration
of the product or to adjacent surfaces)
- the product was stored under unfavourable conditions
- it was exposed to heavy loads during transport
Do not leave packaging material carelessly lying around, since it could
become a dangerous plaything for children.
In commercial institutions, the accident prevention regulations of the Em-
ployer’s Liability Insurance Association for Electrical Systems and Operat-
ing Facilities are to be observed!
If you have any questions that are not answered in these operating in-
structions, please contact our technical department or another specialist.
Preparations for installation
Please consult the section: “Safety instructions”!
Install the pendant light only on a stable surface. Use screws and plugs that are
suitable for the surface. Use the product only when it is firmly and steadily mounted.
The pendant light must be installed so that it is out of the reach of children.
The pendant lamp must be protected by a 10/16 A fuse on the customer’s distribution
board. A residual current circuit breaker (RCCB) must be installed.
Install the pendant lamp only when it is disconnected from the power supply. It is not
sufficient to just turn off the light switch!
Disconnect from the mains supply by removing the fuse or switching off at the cir-
cuit breaker and then also switch off the associated residual current circuit breaker.
Secure it against unauthorised reconnection, e.g., with a danger sign.
Check that the mains supply line is not live, e.g., by means of an appropriate tester.

Explanation of symbols
The lightning symbol inside a triangle is a warning to inform you of potential
risks of personal injury, such as electrical shock.
This symbol points to specific risks associated with handling, function and
use.
The “arrow” symbol indicates special tips and operating information.
The lamp is exclusively designed for use in dry interiors; do not let the lamp
get damp or wet.
The light cannot be dimmed.
Observe the operating instructions!
Safety instructions
Read the complete operating introductions first, before using the product;
the manual contains important information on proper installation and op-
eration.
Damage due to not following these operating instructions will void the
warranty! We do not assume any liability for any resulting damage!
We do not assume any liability for material and personal damage caused
by improper use or non-compliance with the safety instructions! In such
cases, the warranty will be null and void!
Warning!
This product may only be installed by a qualified technician (e.g., an elec-
trician) who is familiar with the relevant regulations (e.g., VDE)!
Improper work carried out on the mains voltage endangers not only your
own life, but also the life of others!
If you do not have the expertise required for the installation, do not install it
yourself but ask a qualified technician.

Installation and connection
Pay attention to the information in chapter “Preparations for installation”!
Due to the design and weight of the lamp, we recommend considering a
second person’s assistance for installation and connection.
Remove the U-shaped mounting bracket from the ceiling housing by unscrewing the
two lateral Phillips screws.
If plugs are needed to affix the mounting bracket to the ceiling of the room (depend-
ing on the texture of ceiling), mark the position of the drill holes through the holes on
the mounting bracket.
When drilling mounting holes or fastening into place, ensure that no existing
electrical cable, gas or water pipes are damaged.
Put the mains cable through the corresponding hole on the mounting bracket and
attach the mounting bracket to the ceiling by 4 suitable screws (and dowels, if nec-
essary).
Connect the mains cable to the terminal strip inside the installation housing of the
pendant lamp (brown cable = L/phase, blue cable = N/neutral, yellow/green cable =
PE/earth, earthing symbol).
Ensure that the protective earth wire is at least 2 cm longer than the two cables for
L/phase and N/neutral phase.
The protective earth wire must be connected!
Do not install the pendant lamp,if the pendant lamp is replacing an existing
lamp, and no protective earth wire is available. First, draw a new mains ca-
ble.
A fault may occur in case that no protective earth is connected, and the
metal housing of the pendant lamp might become live. There is a risk of a
life-threatening electric shock!
Make sure only the minimum required length of the cable is stripped; otherwise it
could cause a short-circuit.
Also check the other screwing connections at the terminal strip (for the connection
cables of the light) and fasten them, if necessary.
Place the ceiling housing of the pendant lamp onto the mounting bracket so that the
holes in the housing are located above the threaded holes in the mounting bracket.
Make sure that the mains cable is not pinched or trapped.
Secure the ceiling housing of the pendant lamp to the mounting bracket by inserting
the two screws that you had initially removed, and then tighten them.
Switch on the mains voltage again and ensure that the pendant lamp functions.
If the LEDs in the pendant lamp do not go on, switch off the mains voltage
immediately (remove the fuse or switch off at the automatic circuit breaker,
switch off corresponding RCCB).
Thereafter, check the connections of the pendant lamp.
In case of doubt, contact a professional (e.g. an electrician)!
Adjusting the height
Disconnect the pendant lamp from the mains voltage (e.g. by the light switch).
Adjust the height of the pedant lamp by slowly and carefully moving the lamp unit
upwards and downwards.
Make sure that the lamp unit and the counter weight are both in horizontal
position.
Reconnect the mains voltage to the pendant lamp.
Always make sure that the left and right suspension wires do not touch; they
are used to supply LEDs of the lamp unit with voltage/current. Or else a short
circuit may occur causing the LED driver to shut off (integrated short-circuit
protection).
Touching of the bare wires is not dangerous, because a DC voltage of only
max. 18 V/DC is applied (max. secondary output voltage of the LED driver).
Maintenance and Cleaning
The pendant lamp does not require maintenance. The LED light sources used are
durable and cannot be replaced.
Switch off the pendant lamp or disconnect it from the mains before cleaning. After
that, allow sufficient time for the pendant lamp to cool.
The exterior of the pendant lamp should only be wiped with a clean, soft, dry cloth.
Dust can be very easily removed with a soft, clean brush and a vacuum cleaner.
Do not use aggressive, chemical or scouring cleaning agents, as this may lead to
discolouration or changes in the material on the surface.
Disposal
The product must not be disposed of in the household waste.
Dispose of the product at the end of its serviceable life in accordance with
the current statutory requirements; e.g. return it to any suitable collection
point.
