General Information
Thisdecorativekitchenhoodisdesignedtobexedtoanyrigidverticalsurface,overthecookingareainthe
kitchen and can be used for extracting the smoke and grease/oilemanatingoutoffoodbeingcooked.The
kitchen hoods are either 60 cm (600 mm) or 90 cm (900 mm) (depending on the model) width and can be used
with60cm /70cm/ 90 cmhobsor gas stovesforbetter performance. Thekitchenhood has tobein the
extractionmode,whichisductedtotheoutside.Pleasegothroughtheinstallationguidelineproperlyandtake
intoconsiderationthedifculties,whichmayariseduringinstallation.
Components
The kitchen hood is made of the following
components
1. The canopy of the hood and the front panel
is made out of high quality heat resistant and
temperedglass.Thebodyofthehoodhouses
motor, blower, lamps, lters and control
switches.Thepowercordisof230voltsand
5ampssupply.
2. Reduction ange, which also acts as a
uni-directional buttery valve to prevent
cockroaches or rats from entering into the
hood area when the hood is not in use. It
permitsthesmoketogooutofthehood.

HOW TO INSTALL THE PRESTIGE KITCHEN HOOD
Foreasyinstallationofthekitchenhood,pleasefollowtheprocedure
givenbelow. Pleaseensurethat theinstallationwork is undertaken
by a qualied and competent technician. The company will not be
responsible for any damage and injury caused as a result of incorrect
installation.
Fixing the hood
• Fixthereductionangewiththerubbergasketatthebottom,on
thetopofthehoodwiththehelpofscrewsprovided.
• Draw a centre (vertical) line on the wall from the centre of the
cookingapplianceuptotheceiling,usingamarker.Itisimportant
to align the kitchen hood vertically so that the accumulation of
trappedgrease/oildoesnothappeninoneside.Theaestheticsof
the installed hood would also depend on the vertical and horizontal
alignments.
• Draw a horizontal line ensuring that the vertical distance from the
top of the cooking appliance (Gas burner /hotplate) is650 mm
to 750 mm depending on the convenience and the height of the
user. The distance should not be more than 750mm for better
effect.This is wherethe bottom of the kitchen hood should be
aligned.
• Draw a horizontal line from the above line to a distance of 440
mm.Thisisthelineforxingthewallbracket.
• Atthecentreofthisline,drill1hole.
• Draw a vertical line 60 mm from this hole. Drill 2 holes at the
distanceof120mmfromthecentreofthislineonboththesides.

• Insertrawlplugsintothehole.
• Fixthewallbracketprovidedwiththehelpofthescrewsprovidedrigidly.Ensurethatscrewsarexedproperly
to take the load of the kitchen hood
• Then hang the kitchen hood such that the slots provided in the hood goes inside the hook on the mounting
bracket.
• TheninserttheexibleAluminiumpipeintothegrooveprovidedonthereductionange.TheexibleAluminium
pipeisalsoexpandableandcanbeextendedandbenttotakethepipetilltheoutletofthekitchen.
• Ensurestoplacetheendcover,whichwillhelppreventratsandbirdstoenterinsidethechimney.

Whenthekitchenhoodisconnectedtomainspower,thedisplaywillshow12:00
• Touch the set “

Selection of Speed :
SlowSpeed:Slowspeedshouldbeselectedwhensimmeringorusingonlyonepan,thenoiselevelinthisspeed
iskepttotheminimum.
MediumSpeed:Thisshouldbeselectedfornormalcooking.Thisspeedoffersthebestratiobetweenairsuction
capacityandnoiselevel.
HighSpeed: HighSpeed should be selected when frying orcooking foodwith strong odours even for along
period.Youmaygetlittlemorenoiseatthisspeedbutthesuctioncapacityisalsohighest.
Operating the lights
• The Prestige kitchen hood is provided with energy saving 2 LED lamps to provide better illumination in the
cookingarea.Thesecanbeswitchedonbytouchingthe“

Auto Clean Function
• YourPrestigeKitchenHoodcomeswithauniqueautocleaningfunction.
Thekitchenhoodisequippedwithaoilcollectortray.Duringcooking,theoilanddirtwhichgetssuckedintothe
kitchenhoodgetsdrainedinthistray,However,overtime,sometracesofoilanddirtgetsstuckinthekitchen
hood.
Inordertocleanthisstubbornoilanddirt,thekitchenhoodisprovidedwithaAutoCleanmechanism
How to use the “Auto Clean” function
• APlasticcontainerwithalongspoutisprovidedalongwiththekitchenhoodto
llthewatertankofthekitchenhood.Openthecapprovidedonthetopcentre
oftheglassandllthewatertankwithcleanwater.Donotoverllthetankasthe
overowedwatercancausedamagetothekitchenhood.Pleasellwaterwiththe
providedaccessorytoavoidspliiageofwater.
• TouchtheOn/Delay“
”button.Thekitchenhoodwillenterstandbymode.
• Nowtouchthe Auto Clean“
”button. A reversetimerof 50 secondswillget
activatedandtheautocleanindicatorwillstartblinking.
• The fan of the kitchen hood will start operating at slow speed and a special motor in the kitchen hood will force
thewaterintheinnerchamberofthekitchenhood.
• Thisowingwatercleanstheinnerportionkitchenhoodofgreaseanddirtandgetscollectedintheoilcollector
trayprovidedatthebackofthelter.
• Theautocleanfunctionwillstopoperatingafterthelapseof50seconds.Waitforaminuteormoreafterthe
auto clean function stops
• Carefullyremovetheoilcollectortraybyslidingittowardsyouanddrainthecollectedwaterinasink.
Cleantheoilcollectortraywithcleanwater,wipeandslideitbackalongtherailsinthekitchenhood.
Note: The auto cleaning process is only for the cleaning of blower. However, the lter should be cleaned
manuallyonaregularbasis.

• Donotconnectthehoodtochimneys,ventilationpipesorhotairpipes.
• Besurethereisadequateventilation,evenincasewherethehoodistobeusedsimultaneouslywithanother
product.
• Before connecting to the mains supply ensure that the main voltage corresponds with the voltage on the rating
plateinsidethehood.
• Wheninstalledthehoodmustbepositioned650mmMin.and750mmMax.abovethecookingappliance.
• Never do ambécookingunderthiskitchenhood.
• Neverleavefryingfoodunattendedsincegreasecanoverheatandcatchre.Theriskofreisevengreaterin
caseofusedoil.
• Donothavealightedameunderthehood.SwitchONthehoodonlyafterplacingthecookingvesselonthe
heatsource.
• Neverleavefryingpansunattendedduringuseasoverheatedfatsandoilsmaycatchre.
• Beforecarryingoutanykindofmaintenanceorcleaningdisconnectthehoodfromthemainssupply.
• Neverletthechildrentooperatethekitchenhood.
• DonottouchthelightswithhandwhentheyON.Thehotlampsmayburnyourhands.
• The kitchen hood should bestrictly used for household purposeonly. This kitchen hoodis not suitable for
barbecuingandcommercialpurposes.
• For getting the maximum benet of the kitchen hood, the kitchen hood and the lters should be cleaned
regularly.
• Alwayscovertheoutletofthepipeofthehoodwithameshtoprevententryofcockroaches,ratsetc.

USE AND CARE TIPS FOR YOUR PRESTIGE KITCHEN HOOD
Regularmaintenanceandcleaningwillensuregoodperformanceandreliability,whileextendingtheworkinglifeof
thehood.Theeffectivenessofthekitchenhoodalsodependsonthecleanlinessofthelters.
• Whilecleaningthehood, do not useawetclothorspongeorrunningwater.Itcanbewipedwithdampcloth
andcleanedimmediatelywithasoftdrycloth.
• Donotuseabrasivecleaningmaterialswhencleaningasitmayscratchthesurface.
• Theglasssurfacecanbecleanedusingsoftdetergentorliquidsoapforremovingthegreaseandotherstains.
Please use only soft cloth to prevent scratches. Do not pour water on the glass surface immediately after
cooking,astheglassmaybehot.
• DONOTwetelectricalparts.
• Forbetterperformanceofthekitchenhood,cleantheltersonceinaweekfornormalcookingandoncein3
daysifyouaredoingdeepfryingregularly.
• Forcleaningthelter,pleaseremoveitfromthehood.
• DONOTcleanthelterwiththelterxedontothehood.
• Theltershouldbecleanedeveryweekwithnormalusageandcanbecleanedinadishwasherorbyhand
usingamilddetergentorliquidsoap.Itcanalsobedippedinliquidsoapforcleaningandthenrinsedthoroughly
withcoldwater.
• Theltershouldbedriedbeforettingbacktothehood.

Cleaning the lter
• The lter can be washed by hand using soapy
wateror,inadishwasher.
• Incaseofstubborndirt,soakthelterovernightin
soapy water and wash thoroughly
• Drythelterthoroughlybeforesecuringthelter
on the hood
• Do not use hard abrasives for cleaning
Rexing the lter
• Locatethetwoprojectionsontheltertothegroovesinthehood
• Push tightly inside and rotate the locking knob

WARRANTY
TTK Prestige Limited (hereinafter referred to as the “Company”) warrants to the purchaser of “Prestige Kitchen
Hood”,{hereinafterreferredtoas“KitchenHood”}thattheKitchenHoodisfreefromalldefectsinmaterialand
workmanship.
Thiswarrantyisforlifetime(thelifeoftheKitchenHoodis10years,fromthedateofpurchase),againstinherent
manufacturingdefectsandsubjecttothefollowingtermsandconditions:-
1. TheKitchenHoodshouldbeinstalledbythePurchaserwithin30daysfromthedateofPurchase,onlybythe
AuthorisedServiceCentreortheRegionalServiceCentreoftheCompany.ThelistofCompany’sRegional
ServiceCentres/AuthorisedServiceCentres,islistedintheUser’sManual.
2. AtthetimeofinstallationoftheKitchenHoodbytheCompany’sRegionalServiceCentre/AuthorizedService
Centre,auniqueLifetimeWarranty“LTW”number,wouldbeallocatedtothePurchaser.
3. TheLifetimewarrantycoversonlytheMotor,Blower,PCBandSwitches,oftheKitchenHood.
4. AllotherpartsoftheKitchenHood,suchaslter,lamp,glass,plasticparts,andbodyarenotcoveredunder
thelifetimewarranty,asthesepartsaresubjecttowearandtearandneedsreplacementfromtimetotime,
dependingontheusage.
5. ToavailthebenetsofLifetimeWarranty,thecustomerhastoindicatetheLTWnumber(soallottedtothe
Purchaser by the Company), and to produce the Original Purchase Invoice, to the Company’s Regional
ServiceCentre/AuthorizedServiceCentre.
6. TheLifetimewarrantywillbetreatedasnullandvoid,incasethePurchaserfailstogettheKitchenHood
installedandLifetimewarrantyregisteredwiththeCompany,within30daysofpurchase.
7. ThePurchasershouldgettheKitchenHoodserviced,byregisteringservicerequestwiththeCompany’sCall
Centre,onceinevery06months.
8. Novisiting(conveyance/travel)chargeswillbeleviedforvisitsmadebytheCompany’sauthorizedtechnician/
representative,tothePurchaserregisteredaddress,forservice/assistancefortherst2Years,fromthedate
ofpurchase.

9. Servicessuchasinspectionand/orcleaningofKitchenHoodwillalwaysbechargeabletothePurchasereven
duringrst2years.
10.Afterinitial2YearsfromthedateofPurchaseoftheKitchenHood,thevisitandservicewillbeonchargeable
basisasperthechargesspeciedbythecompany.HoweverpartscoveredunderLifetimewarrantysuchas
Motor,Blower,PCBandswitcheswillbereplaced/rectiedfreeofcostandallotherpartswillberectied/
replacedonchargeablebasis.
11.The Purchaser shall maintain the Kitchen Hood, strictly in accordance with the instructions, mentioned in
User’sManual.TheLifetimewarrantystandsterminated,ifitisfoundthattheKitchenHoodisnotmaintained
/servicedaspertheinstructions,containedintheUser’sManual.
12.TheCompanyshallmakeallendeavor’s/attemptstocarryouttheservice/replacementunderthiswarrantyat
theearliest,butshallnotbeliabletodosowithinanyspeciedtime.
13.Thewarrantywillcontinueandremaininforceonlyfortheunexpiredperiodoftheoriginalwarranty,withrespect
toanyrepair/replacementofpartsoftheKitchenHood.(Totalwarrantycommencesfromtheactualdateof
purchaseoftheKitchenHood,asperPurchaseinvoice)
14.TheKitchenHoodshallbeusedstrictlyfordomesticpurposes,inaccordancewiththeUser’sManual.
15.TheCompanyshallnotbeheldliableforanyaccident,lossordamage(directorindirect)topersonorproperty
and/ortheWarrantywouldbeInvalidunderthefollowingamongstcircumstances:-
a)IfInstallationoftheKitchenHoodisnotdonebytheCompanyRegionalServiceCentreoftheAuthorised
ServiceCentre,
b)IfthePurchaserfailstoregisterandobtaintheuniqueLifetimeWarrantyNumber,fromtheCompany,within
30days,fromthedateofPurchaseoftheKitchenHood.
c)Repairs/serviceattendedbyunauthorizedserviceperson.
d)Damagesarisingoutofmisuse,abuseand/ornegligenceonthepartofthePurchaser.

e)Defectscausedbyimproper/recklessuse.
f)Useofspuriousspares/old,non-genuinespares.
g)FailuretocomplywiththetermsandconditionsoftheUser’sManual.
h)OriginalserialnumberoftheKitchenHoodisdeleted/defacedoraltered.
16.Thewarrantydoesnotcoverdamagesduetonegligence,mishandlingwhichmayleadtobreakageoflters
anddentsonstainlesssteelbody.
17.TheCompanyshallnotberesponsibleforanyspecialconsequentialdamagesorlossarisingdirectlyorindirectly
foranydelayintheperformanceofthiswarranty.
18.TheCompanyreservestherighttoretainanypartorcomponentattheRegionalServiceCentre/branchesor
AuthorizedServiceCentreoratitsworkshopandshalleffectRepairs/Replacementofpartsorcomponentsat
itssolediscretion.
19.DuringthevalidityoftheTermofthisWarranty,theCompanyshallatitssolediscretionrepairorreplacethe
KitchenHood.
20.Notwithstandinganything,thePurchaseragreesthat,theliabilityoftheCompany,underthisWarranty,shallin
nocase,exceedthepriceoftheKitchenHood,paidbythePurchaser,atthetimeofhis/herPurchase.
21.Incaseofcomplaint/disputes,intermsofthisWarranty,onlycompetentCourt/satBangaloreshallhavethe
exclusivejurisdiction.
22.Electricalappliances,wirepointsneedregularcheckupbyanauthorizedserviceperson.
23.Electricalappliancesarepronetovoltageuctuationrisks,thereforeprecautionshouldbetakenbeforeuse.
Companyshallnotberesponsibleforanydamagetoelectricalparts,viz.coil,motoretc.arisingoutofthis
problem.
24.Thedecisionofthecompanyisnalinallcasesofdispute.
