Safety instructions

1. Read the instruction manual carefully before use and save it

for future use.

2. Plug the appliance to a household outlet of 230V only, and

use the appliance only for the intended use.

3. The appliance must only be used with the delivered adaptor.

4. Always unplug the appliance from the mains supply before

cleaning and maintenance.

5. The appliance must not be immersed in water or other

liquids.

6. This appliance can be used by children aged 8 years and

above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental

capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, if they

have been given supervision or instruction concerning the

use of the appliance in a safe way by a person responsible

for their safety and they understand the hazards involved.

7. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not

play with the appliance. Children are not always able to

understand potential risks. Teach children a responsible

handling of electrical appliances.

8. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by

children, unless they are over the age of 8 and supervised.

9. Only use original OBH Nordica lters.

10. Check that the cord is not hanging over the edge of the

table.

11. Do not place the appliance on or near hotplates, open re

or the like.

12. Always examine appliance, cord and plug for damage before

use. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by

the manufacturer or his service agent or a similarly qualied

person in order to avoid a hazard.

13. The electrical installation must comply with the current

legislation concerning additional protection in the form of a

residual current device (RCD with a rated residual operating

current not exceeding 30 mA). Check with your installer.

14. The appliance is for domestic use only.

15. If the appliance is used for other purposes than intended

or if it is not handled in accordance with the instruction

manual, the full responsibility for any consequences will rest

with the user. Any damages to the product or other things

Before use

Before you use the air purier for the rst time, please read the instruction manual

carefully and keep it for future use.

General description

The air purier comprises the following:

1. Casing

How to use the air purier

Before you switch on the air purier, remove the packaging material from the

activated carbon lter. To get access to the lter, remove the cover on the back of

the air purier by simultaneously pressing the two buttons on the cover. Remove

the activated carbon lter from the air purier and remove the packaging

material. Reinsert the carbon lter and put the cover back on again. Make sure

that the dowel at the bottom of the cover is inserted rst. Now slightly press the

cover to make it engage.

Position the air purier on a dry and even surface. Insert the small plug of the

adapter in the air purier and the big plug in a socket. Switch on the air purier

by pressing the ON/OFF button.

Speed levels

The air purier has 5 speed levels that also adjust the efciency with which the

air in the room is cleaned. Set the speed by pressing the + or the – button; at the

same time the blue LED lamps (2) of the appliance are set in such a way that 1

lamp is on for setting 1 (lowest level), 2 lamps for setting 2 etc.

Level 1: The lowest, most quiet level for use .e.g. in bedrooms at night

Level 2: Quiet for use in bedrooms and small rooms

Level 3: For continuous use during the day in small rooms (25 m²)

Level 4: For continuous use during the day in big rooms (up to 50 m²), e.g. open

kitchens or living rooms.

Level 5: Highest speed for fast purication of the air or cleansing of highly

polluted air.

Timer function

The air purier has a timer function that ensures that the appliance is switched

off automatically after 2, 4 or 8 hours. Press the TIMER button and choose the

wanted interval, which is indicated by LED lamps on top of the air purier. The air

purier can also run continuously if that is what you want. Continuous running is

indicated by the LED lamps of the timer function NOT being on.

Dimmer

You can reduce the light intensity of the LED lamps if you want to have the air

purier on e.g. in the night without being disturbed by the light of the lamps. To

do this, press the DIMMER button. The intensity of the LED lamps will be increased

again by pressing the DIMMER button.

The air purier consists of three different lters for optimum ltering of the air:

Prelter

The prelter removes big particles such as hair and dry dust particles, from the

air and protects the washable HPP™ lter.

Washable High Potential Particle lter (HPP™ lter)

The washable HPP™ lter cleanses the air in the room of viruses, bacteria, ne

dust, pollen, excretions from house dust mites and mould fungus. When the air

purier is on, the slats in the lter magnetize and suck up the particles.

Activated carbon lter

The activated carbon lter removes obnoxious smell generated by e.g. cooking

odour or tobacco smoke.

Scent tray

The air purier comprises a scent tray that can be used if you want to add aroma

in the room. We recommend that you add just 1 or 2 drops of aromatic, such

as fragrance oil, to the lter in the scent tray (6), as excessive use may damage

the plastic parts of the appliance. So do not add more drops until the rst added

aroma has been used. If you are in doubt, clean the lter and let it dry before

adding more drops.

Cleaning and maintenance

To ensure the optimum functioning of the air purier, follow the instruction

manual carefully.

Before you clean the air purier, disconnect the power and unplug.

The casing of the air purier can be wiped with a damp cloth and dried with a

dry, soft cloth.

The prelter shall be thoroughly cleaned with a vacuum cleaner, whereas the

lter should be replaced every 6 months. You can buy new lters at the dealer

where you bought the appliance.

Since ne particles, viruses and bacteria accumulate in the HPP™ lter over time,

wash the lter at least every 2 months.

Open the cover at the back of the air purier by clicking the two buttons on the

cover and remove the cover. Remove the HPP™ lter and let it soak in soapy

water for at least one hour. Rinse the lter in cold, running water. Shake possible

excess water out of the lter and let it dry outside the air purier for at least 12

hours. Be sure that the lter is completely dry before putting it back in the air

purier. No drops must be found on the slats of the lter.

Remount the cover and turn on the air purier at the highest speed level. Let the

air purier be on for at least 3 hours to make sure that the lter is completely dry.

The activated carbon lter is not washable, as washing will destroy its ltering

capability. The lter shall be replaced every 6 months. At the edge of the lter

there is room for inserting the date of use of the lter. Change the lter 6 months

after the date. You can buy new lters with the dealer where you bought the

appliance.

The lter in the scent tray is washable. Make sure that it is completely dry before

remounting it in the scent tray after cleaning.

Disposal of the appliance

Legislation requires that all electrical and electronic equipment shall be

collected for reuse and recycling. Electrical and electronic equipment

marked with the symbol indicating separate collection of such equipment

must be returned to a municipal waste collection point.

Warranty

Warranty according to current law. Any claim shall be accompanied by the cash

receipt with purchase date. When raising a claim the appliance must be returned

to the store of purchase.
