1) REMOVE YOUR DOOR
Roll the window down on the door you will remove.
Disconnect the electrical connector, door strap, and
door limiting stop.
Lift up and remove your door. Be sure to store it on
a soft blanket or cardboard to prevent paint damage.
2) REMOVE THE OEM HINGE LINERS
The OEM hinge liners on the JL are swaged on both
sides of the hinge. Using the flathead or chisel, very
carefully knock the top lip of the liner inward to clear
the edge of the hinge.
Tap all sides of the OEM liner until the top is
completely clear of the OEM hinge.
Using the included tool and a hammer, tap the OEM
liner out of the hinge. Take care in controlling your
swings to avoid damaging your paint.
Repeat this step on the second hinge.

Ensure the tool can freely slide in and out of the
hinges. This will make for easier insertion of the new
liners.
3) INSTALL NEW LINERS
Place the new liners into the door hinges. These
should press in gently with your fingers. If more force
is needed, use the tool again to reem the hole to
remove any remaining corrosion or debris.
4) REINSTALL YOUR DOOR AND REPEAT FOR ALL
REMAINING DOORS.
