2.3. Power Supply
This board operates from single DC 3.3 V power supply from the CNA. External
power supply should be sufficient and stabilized. Please do not apply over 3.3V
voltage.
About I/O Power Supply, please refer to the next section.

ACM-116L Series v1.0
2.4. I/O Power Supply
FPGA banks are divided to Bank Group A and B. Please make sure to input
arbitrary power from VIOL of CNA and CNB connectors.

For more details, please refer to the FPGA datasheet and circuit schematics.
2.5. Clock
Oscillators, 50 MHz (U15) and 100 MHz (U4), are equipped as on-board clock.
External clock can be input from user I/O connectors.
For more details, please refer to circuit schematics.
2.6. Setting Switch

2.7. User Switch
You can use SW1[2] and SW2 for general purpose. They are pulled
up, so you can input low level signal to the FPGA when you push
them.
2.8. User LED
You can use L2 and L3 for general purpose. They are active high.

ACM-116L Series v1.0
2.9. Debug I/F
Pin No.1 and 3 are connected through resisters to FPGA directly.
They can be used for any purpose. Pin No.2 is GND.
2.10. JTAG Connector
This connector is used to configure the FPGA and to access to
configuration device in system.
After configuration is completed successfully, the DONE LED will
light up. If the VIO(B) voltage is low, the LED will not light up. But it
doesn't affect FPGA operations.

3. FPGA Configuration
To configure the FPGA via JTAG directly, assign a sof file
to the FPGA detected by [Auto Detect]. If configuration is
completed successfully, the DONE LED will light up.
4. Configuration Device Programming
A jic (JTAG Indirect Configuration) file is required to download an FPGA
configuration data into the configuration device via JTAG. To generate a jic file
using Quartus, please refer to the following example with Quartus Prime 17.1.
4.1. Generating jic file
1. Open [File] menu and click [Convert Programming Files..].
Programming File type : JTAG Indirect Configuration File (.jic)
Configuration device : MT25QU256
Mode : Active Serial (x4 is not supported)
* When you cannot select [MT25QU256], please add the following variable into
your quartus.ini file in the project directory.
pgm_allow_mt25q = on
If you cannot find the ini file, please create quartus.ini file and save it in the project
directory or <Quartus Prime install directory> ¥bin64.
After add the variable and open your project again, then you can select MT25Q
device.
For more details, please refer to the Intel KDB.
2. Set the FPGA device name to Flash Loaderand your sof file to SOF Data”.
8
ACM-116L Series v1.0
3. Click [Generate]
4.2. Programming Configuration Device
Assign the jic file to the detected device and start programming. Please set a
configuration mode to AS mode.
