Maintenance
Note: Before performing any maintenance, make sure the switch is in the “Off” position
-see Figure 1.
1. If you do not use the Solar Garden Light for extended periods of time, turn it off.
2. Make sure the solar panel on top of the Lid (1) is clean. Use a soft, damp cloth to clean
the Solar Panel. Do not use bleaches or detergents.
3. This light has delicate wiring inside. The battery should only be replaced by a qualified
service technician. The battery should be a “AA” Ni-Cd, 900 mAh minimum rechargeable
battery. Note: The bulb (LED type) can not be replaced.
Operation
1. Decide where you want to mount the
Solar Garden Light. Choose a location
that receives full, direct sunlight a
minimum of six hours a day. The location
should not be near nighttime light
sources such as porchlights or
streetlights as they may trigger the light
to turn off.
2. Place one of the two Stake Tubes (3)
into the bottom of the Lamp (2). Next,
insert a Tube Connector (4) into the
Stake Tube (3), and then add the second
Stake Tube (3). Lastly, insert the second
Tube Connector (4).
3. Make sure the ground is soft enough to accept
the Pointed Stake (5). Gently insert it into the ground making sure it is in solid. Insert
the protruding end of the lower Tube Connector (3) into the Pointed Stake (5) and make
sure the Light will not easily tip over.
4. Twist and remove the Lid (1) and turn the switch to the “ON” position. Replace the Lid
(See Figure 1). Now allow the Solar Light to receive 8 hours of direct sunlight with the
ON/OFF switch in the “ON” position. The light will then turn on and off automatically.
Note: the ON/OFF switch must be in the “ON” position when charging your light in
sunlight. Never set the switch in the “OFF” position when charging.
Note: During the day, the solar panel converts sunlight into electricity, recharging the battery.
The amount of light it receives depends on placement, geographic location, weather,
and seasonal lighting ability. If the weather is cloudy, and the panel didn’t receive a full
charge, it will not fulfil the eight hours maximum operating time. It will catch up on its
own after two to three days of full sun.
Note: Under normal operating conditions, under a full charge, the Solar Garden Light will turn
on automatically at dusk and remain lit for eight hours, or until the morning light appears.
5. The Solar Light can be turned off at any time by using the ON/OFF switch.
