or cables.
Safety Warnings and Precautions
WARNING: When using product, basic safety precautions should always be followed to
reduce the risk of personal injury and damage to equipment.
Read all instructions before using this product!
1. Avoid working alone. If an accident happens, an assistant can bring help.
2. Avoid electrical shock. Use extreme caution when clamping around uninsulated
conductors or bus bars. Prevent body contact with grounded surfaces such as pipes,
radiators, ranges, and cabinet enclosures when testing voltages.
3. Keep work area clean. Cluttered areas invite injuries.
6. Observe work area conditions. Position the Solar Garden Light in a full sun position,
away from all obstructions.
4. Keep children away. Children must never be allowed in the work area. Do not let
them handle the Solar Garden Light.
SKU 91055 Page 3
5. Store idle equipment. When not in use always lock up the Solar Garden Light and
keep it out of reach of children.
6. Dress properly. Protective, electrically nonconductive clothes and nonskid footwear
are recommended when working with the Solar Garden Light. Wear restrictive hair
covering to contain long hair.
7. Use eye protection. Always wear ANSI approved impact safety goggles when setting
up this product.
8. Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at all times.
9. Maintain tools with care. Inspect Solar Garden Light periodically. If damaged, have it
repaired by an authorized technician.
10. Use the right Solar Garden Light for the job. Do not attempt to force a small Solar
Garden Light to do the work of a larger Solar Garden Light. There are certain applications
for which this Solar Garden Light was designed. Do not modify this Solar Garden Light
and do not use this Solar Garden Light for a purpose for which it was not intended.
11. Stay alert. Watch what you are doing, use common sense. Do not operate the Solar
Garden Light when you are tired.
12. Check for damaged parts. Before using this product, any part that appears damaged
should be carefully checked to determine that it will operate properly and perform its
intended function. Check for alignment and binding of parts; any broken parts or mounting
fixtures; and any other condition that may affect proper operation. Any part that is
damaged should be properly repaired or replaced by a qualified technician. Do not use
the Solar Garden Light if any switch does not turn On and Off properly.
13. Replacement parts and accessories. When servicing, use only identical replacement
parts. Use of any other parts will void the warranty.
14. Do not set up Solar Garden Light if under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Read
warning labels on prescriptions to determine if your judgment or reflexes are impaired
while taking drugs. If there is any doubt, do not set up the Solar Garden Light.
15. Maintenance. For your safety, maintenance should be performed regularly by a qualified
technician.
WARNING: The warnings, cautions, and instructions discussed in this instruction manual
cannot cover all possible conditions and situations that may occur. It must be
understood by the operator that common sense and caution are factors which
cannot be built into this product, but must be supplied by the operator.

Maintenance
Note: Before performing any maintenance, make sure the switch is in the “Off position
-see Figure 1.
1. If you do not use the Solar Garden Light for extended periods of time, turn it off.
2. Make sure the solar panel on top of the Lid (1) is clean. Use a soft, damp cloth to clean
the Solar Panel. Do not use bleaches or detergents.
3. This light has delicate wiring inside. The battery should only be replaced by a qualified
service technician. The battery should be a “AA” Ni-Cd, 900 mAh minimum rechargeable
battery. Note: The bulb (LED type) can not be replaced.
Operation
1. Decide where you want to mount the
Solar Garden Light. Choose a location
that receives full, direct sunlight a
minimum of six hours a day. The location
should not be near nighttime light
sources such as porchlights or
streetlights as they may trigger the light
to turn off.
2. Place one of the two Stake Tubes (3)
into the bottom of the Lamp (2). Next,
insert a Tube Connector (4) into the
Stake Tube (3), and then add the second
Stake Tube (3). Lastly, insert the second
Tube Connector (4).
3. Make sure the ground is soft enough to accept
the Pointed Stake (5). Gently insert it into the ground making sure it is in solid. Insert
the protruding end of the lower Tube Connector (3) into the Pointed Stake (5) and make
sure the Light will not easily tip over.
4. Twist and remove the Lid (1) and turn the switch to the “ON” position. Replace the Lid
(See Figure 1). Now allow the Solar Light to receive 8 hours of direct sunlight with the
ON/OFF switch in the “ON” position. The light will then turn on and off automatically.
Note: the ON/OFF switch must be in the “ON” position when charging your light in
sunlight. Never set the switch in the “OFF” position when charging.
Note: During the day, the solar panel converts sunlight into electricity, recharging the battery.
The amount of light it receives depends on placement, geographic location, weather,
and seasonal lighting ability. If the weather is cloudy, and the panel didn’t receive a full
charge, it will not fulfil the eight hours maximum operating time. It will catch up on its
own after two to three days of full sun.
Note: Under normal operating conditions, under a full charge, the Solar Garden Light will turn
on automatically at dusk and remain lit for eight hours, or until the morning light appears.
5. The Solar Light can be turned off at any time by using the ON/OFF switch.

TROUBLESHOOTING
The performance of solar light depends upon the amount of direct sunlight available during
daylight hours. If your solar light does not operate properly, refer to possible reasons listed
below:
Dim Light:
1. The On/Off switch contacts may be poor. Turn the switch on and off several times to
alleviate the problem.
2. The battery may be low or under-charged. Shadows will prevent the solar panel from
fully absorbing sunlight, such as tree branches, any shadow from trees, buildings, etc.
Make sure the lights are located in an unobstructed location where they can receive 8
hours of sunlight a day. Allow the battery to recharge for 2 full, sunny days. Overcast
days will limit performance.
3. Dirty Solar Panel (on top of the Lid). A dirty solar panel will not allow the unit to charge
and will shorten the life of the battery. Use a soft, damp cloth to clean the solar panel.
Do not use bleaches or detergents.
No Light:
1. The On/Off switch may be in the “Off position. Turn it to the “On” position.
2. An external light source (i.e. streetlight, porch light, flood light) may prevent the light
from automatically turning on at night. Reposition the Solar Light. Ensure the photocell
of the solar light is not affected by any other light sources.
3. Batteries may need recharging. Check the battery to ensure it is connecting with
the terminals.
