SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Read all safety instruction before operating the MMA-400 Series.
1. Install equipment as follow conditions.
The apparatus shall not be exposed to dripping or splashing and
no object filled with liquids, such as vases, shall be place on the
apparatus.
Install at the place, not bending curved.
Do not install this apparatus in a confined space such as a book
case or similar unit.
Locate the apparatus away from heat source, such as radiators
or other device that produce heat.
Do not drop objects or spill liquids into the inside of the apparatus.
2. Keep in mind the following when connecting the apparatus.
Connect the apparatus after reading of O/P manuals.
Connect each connection of the apparatus perfectly, If not, It maybe
Caused hum, damage, electric shock in case of mis-connecting.
To prevent electric shock, do not open top cover.
Connect the power cord with safety after check of AC power.
This apparatus should be serviced by qualified service person.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION
FEATURES
Up to 10 input modules among various types can be easily
and quickly mounted in the Module Mixer Frame according
to customer's needs.
The MMA-400 Series can cover sound systems from simple
to large, which are needed in.
To make the best of the MMA-400 Series in achieving the most
satisfactory sound system, please read this operating
instructions carefully.

MMA-400 Series is designed for small P.A-System as flexible
function.
MMA-400 makes normal announcement for school, church,
hospital, hotel, sport center, office and in case of emergency
situation like fire, this makes also announcement.

1. AC INLET SOCKET
This is AC power cord socket. Please connect the power
cord after main power switch "off".
2. AC FUSE HOLDER
This is AC fuse holder.
3. DC 24V INPUT SCREW TERMINAL
This is terminals for DC 24V battery power supply, when
unexpected AC power failure.
IMPORTANT NOTICE: When fuse is blown out, it should
be replaced with the same type fuse like following table, if
it continuous to blown out, stop replacing fuse and refer

4. DC FUSE HOLDER
This is AC fuse holder.
5. IN/OUT 32-PIN DIN CONNECTOR
This is to connect signal mother board of module mixer frame
and modules.
6. AC MAIN POWER SWITCH
Pressing this switch the upper position.
AC POWER will be turn on with lighting LED indicator.
IMPORTANT NOTICE: When fuse in blown out, it should
be replaced with the same type fuse like following table if
it continuous to blown out, stop replacing fuse and refer
servicing to qualified person.
IMPORTANT NOTICE : Please note the "+", "-" polarity
connecting DC 24V. For the connection of battery connect
"+" polarity terminal after "-" polarity terminal connection.
So as not to make a fault of unit.

7. AC POWER INDICATOR
LED is turn "on", when main switch "on".
8. DC POWER INDICATOR
This is an indicator for DC 24V.
LED will be turn on, connecting battery.
9. GROUND/FLOATING SWITCH
This switch is for grounding between circuit ground and chassis
ground to avoid problems like a electrical potential difference.
10. EXTENSION ON/OFF JUMPERS
The jumper is to supply PGM audio signal to the next module
mixer for extention of two module mixer. Please note that jumper
"off"when master module is installed at the No. , . For not
installation of master module on the slot No. , , should be
"on".
11. EXTENSION OUTPUT RJ-45 JACKS
RJ-45 extension JACK is to deliver and PGM signal control
signal to the next frame for extension of two module mixer
frame. (UTP cable only)
12. EXTENSION INPUT RJ-45 JACKS
RJ-45 INPUT JACK is to receive PGM audio and control
audio signal from the next module mixer for the extension
of two MMA-400.(UTP cable only)

1. Set each module from the left to the right.
2. Install blank panel at the front and rear after fixing SH11(short bar),
when you take out modules among completed module frame.
1. Install all modules after setup all functions by EX-11(extension)
before fix all modules in the MMA-400.
2. It is convenient to use as the above figure for change of module
functions or repair from the completed unit.

1. INPUT
ML-42 : Input 5-pin screw terminals.
Terminal for MIC/LINE input or paging MIC input(JPM-10).
Input sensitivity is -50dB/-10dB 10k balanced.
Terminal for line input, input sensitivity is 0dB 10k balanced.
RCA pin jack for AUX input, input sensitivity is 0dB -20dB 3k
unbalanced.
LN-42 : Input 3-pin screw terminals.
AX-42 : Input RCA pin jacks.
This is to send all input signals to MASTER 1, 2, 3, 4.
Pushing the switch, In-use channel LED will turn on and input
signal of each module fed up to selected master group switch
contact is linked with that of JPM-10 PTT and makes chime
automatically from CA-42 when setting "ON" of auto chime
on/off jumper.

9. CASCADE PRIORITY ON/OFF JUMPERS
"ON" setting of jumper makes auto chime of CA-42 module operating
"ON" switch or PTT switch.(JPM-10)

SWITCH SETTING
2 .Set the number of desired repeats of an announcement and
the desired lergth of the time intervals with the DIP switches
SW11 to SW22.
Two DIP switches are assigned to each memory location.
1. Basic Setting
The module has a back-up battery so that the announcements
are kept stored even after switching off. This back-up battery
is deactivated when delivered ex factory to prevent a slow
discharge until the unit will be installed.
To activate the back-up battery, place the jumper SEL2 from
pins 1+2(Off) to pins 2+3(On) -see appearance.

A) Remove the bolt of to APPEARANCE.
B) Insert JEDIA's memory module to the memory socket.
C) Set "SEL1" according to "FIG-3".
